Hi all!
We won't get started until after Gen Con, but this space is here if you want to talk about characters.
You will all make 5th level characters for this game. You get a lump sum of 270 gp to buy your equipment.
You cannot be a human. Any other ancestry that has been published so far is on the table, including the new ones from APG.
If you want another uncommon character option, let me know.
The story begins in the city of Kibwe, where you have come to buy rare darkwood (perhaps for a weapon or perhaps for art).
I'll let you decide whether you all know each other, or if you just all happen to be in the same shop right now.
Fuchsia Madouc |
Fuchsia Madouc has the snub-nosed face of a gentle Capybara that belies her acerbic wit.
Aspis agents and slave traders from the Beykar Block get out of the way when they see her signature flame-red outfit moving through Kibwe's crowds. Madouc always wears the left brim of her silk hat folded up at an asymmetrical angle, and her bright yellow dueling cape draped over her sword arm.
In the evening shade, among the shanties of the Bwamandu Camp, her eyes glow like celestial orbs. Every morning, she brushes her whiskers and sharpens her tongue.
Asta Odimmadu |
Though of similar height, Asta differs from Fuchsia in nearly every other way. Where she is dashing and dressed for attention, he is brooding and unobtrusive, dressed in dark studded leather under a long overcoat. Where she adorns her clothing with a bright yellow cape and wide hat, he carries a cane and wears a fedora low over his eyes.
Still, though his dress and his mannerisms are carefully calculated to avoid attention, Asta moves boldly through the streets of Kibwe, a quiet confidence clearly evident when you know where to look. He knows these streets as well as anyone. He knows the look of every alley, the smell of every corner; he could tell you the intersection by the feel of the cobbles beneath his boot. This city has a lot of secrets, but there's nowhere to hide that Asta Odimmadu can't snuffle out.
Jack Lily-White |

It could be said that the druid who created a pumpkin-headed leshy had a sense of humour when he named him Jack. But what they could not have expected was the raw tenor voice and musical talent that he has. His earliest memories are of him banging on a hollow log to make percussive sounds.
Curious by nature, Jack left the company of his maker to explore the world, his only company that of a groundhog that seemed to be inexplicably connected to him. They went from town to town, a curious pair until tragedy struck: a wagon ran over the hedgehog!
Having learned a little about the craft, Jack has an inspired moment and crafted a leshy of his own. Made of leaves and twigs, he captured the spirit of his hedgehog friend and placed it inside this tiny new form. It sprang to life with its own musical hooting sounds. He named her Nutmeg and it could be said that, on that day, Jack reinvented himself.
Today Jack and Nutmeg Lily-White tour around Golarion, going wherever the wind may take them, as a two piece band called The Lily-White Stripes. Jack has become something of a virtuoso on the lute, and Nutmeg provides backing sounds and percussive noises to provide a musical counterpoint. They have been reviewed by numerous critics, with music being called 'raw, untapped primal energy' and 'a sonic experience to savoured'. Most recently they've arrived in Kibwe, and are looking to perform a show.

Hey, there are slides now! Please fill out the table on Slide 2 when you have a chance.
Yuturr Unku |
Yuturr is the middle child of a wealthy caravan owner, and it was by her side that he learned the art of barter. Born with a burning curiosity (and no small amount of ambition), Yuturr slyly maneuvered his way past his siblings into leadership on trips abroad — first along the Path of Salt, then later several profitable trips through the haunted wilds of the Kho-Rarne Pass between far western Osirion and the northern reaches of the Mwangi Expanse. While Yuturr is certain that the ambush in the Pass which destroyed his entire caravan — and his stewardship — was not the work of bandits, he can't yet prove his jealous siblings were behind it, though he certainly spends his spare time seeking such evidence.
Yuturr can't bear paying list price for anything, and would haggle over every silver if allowed. Still, his shrewd eye for value is usually correct, and his black and grey mottled fur will stand on end when he really wants what he sees — a telltale sign for those who know him.
