Should we be posting our montages or just waiting for the call to action?
In other news, Gracie has always (largely) functioned how I picture her so for me, apart from boosting some of her existing abilities to reflect some improved function, it really is a matter of maxing out the right bonuses to be level appropriate. If anyone thinks she is missing anything, let me know. (New sheet not yet pasted into profile)

Yep, go ahead and post your "Walking on Sunshine." The call to action will be...a little different. And definitely a call...

1 person marked this as a favorite. |

So with this being the final arc I'd like to bring back the Professor and Eoten. If agreeable a decade gives me plenty of opportunity to rejig the pair of them especially with the additional PP.
Sacred Bull was fun, but all through the Vampire arc I couldn't but help think - Eoten would have done that. I'd have used the Professor here etc
Have some ideas ST but I'll PM you them if the above notion flies with you (and fits the set up for the final arc of the Netherwar).
I'd love to have Eoten and the Professor back. In this Halcyon moment, the two of them should be getting along relatively well, though a little jekyll and hyde is fine. Alternately, if what the two of them actually vibe on is the conflict, like if they think they don't like the conflict but actually they do like it, throwing back to an Incredible Hulk show style would also work.

Blarg. Having trouble spinning up the creative side of my brainium this week. I know the gist of what I want to write ("Cesarina is happily living her life in Italy but kinda misses her friends a bit.") but having trouble translating that into a post.
I hate being sick, I spend like a week being "post-sick" and it takes all my concentration to just do what I need to do lol.

Went for a different song. Should it be appropriate, if you want to make use of the second verse, GM, go for it... ;)
Ready to go when y'all are.

SuperTumbler can you please remind us Sandstone's last status? We had released her of her curse by giving her one of the bloodstones, and then she was working for UNISON. IIRC her bloodstone was taken/destroyed and sadly while we tried to help her, I think we lost track of her storyline from there because Oz was the one following up from there.

GM SuperTumbler |

Right, Max used a ritual to restore her body using a Bloodstone, then HellQueen took that stone, returning Alexandra to her elemental/stone/sand form. At that point she fell out of the campaign.
Since then she has been looking for ways to regain that human form. Even though it was offscreen, she would have maintained a good relationship with the team and with UNISON.
That said, see the Gameplay for a Will Check.

Storm Dragon |

Gylfir's transformation in circumstance has been modeled a little bit on the Human Torch (not the one you're thinking of) and his transformation into a highpowered businessman that bankrolled super teams.

Good Knight Gracie |

GM is it okay to notice the cheesy dialogue, even if we are being fooled by what we see, as long as we don't question that we know we are thwarting a bank robbery?
Also, when we look at "Sandstone," are we seeing Alex or are we seeing this woman and forgetting Alex exists?

Black Dow |

Apologies on the delay in reintroducing our intellectual giant folks - RL has stymied my time to get my teeth into his redesign good and proper.
Essentially Professor Eoten? (or) Prof Eoten? (leaning toward the latter as it sounds more pulp) is now an amalgamation of the good Professor and his brute alter ego.
Drawing inspiration from Smart Hulk, Red Hulk, Doc Savage amongst a plethora of others. Having ALOT of fun with this final incarnation of Eoten.
Will try and get him done tonight and post on the morrow.

Good Knight Gracie |

I'm holding off on posting anything until GM is able to process the result of Max's spell in this post.
I do want to continue conversing with Deadman but it feels weird to do it while there's just goons on the floor and frightened bank customers everywhere.

"Eldritch" Max Sinclair |

Sorry team. I'm leaving on a business trip again Monday morning returning Wednesday night. And I celebrate the Superbowl.
I may not be able to post. Please bot me as necessary.
cheers

Appreciate the thought. I don't remember saying that but it is true I don't like unnecessary shenanigans to force heroes to fight just to make a cool versus scene (like I hated the plot of Civil War). This said, I'd be willing to follow the narrative if it makes sense... but if there are alternatives that's good too.
Question OOC to the gang is do we try to just leave without them and see what happens first, or try to engage? I have a feeling we're not going to immediately be able to get back to the Nexus (or will end up back where we are) but it would be good to rule this out. What do y'all think?

Good Knight Gracie |

Back now, an sorry to hear about all the electricity/tech woes, SuperT.
Question: would it be really annoying if I roleplayed my complications and dive through the portal to the real world as soon as Gracie sees the apocalyptic hellscape? Because her first thought would be "save Win" (one complication) and her second thought would be "save everyone else too" (also a complication) and she wouldn't keep trying to gather information even though that's the sensible thing to do.
I ask because I'm not keen on separating myself from the party and don't want to disrupt other ideas, and at the same time, these complications exist for a reason. Especially since our GM is having connection issues I figure it's not going to further slow things down if I check in. All thoughts welcome.

Eoten - Giant of Antiquity |

Still putting the finishing touches to the old, but improved Eoten, but wanted to get back in the game before I'm left too far behind!
Good to be back! :)

"Eldritch" Max Sinclair |

@ST Looking for some advice feedback on best actions for Max:
* What can Max do to gather more information?
* Or is it worthwhile to attempt a Nullify the triune to attempt to disrupt?
* Or should he just attack the titan to get pulled into Heroes' Retreat and then open a portal for all the Heroes there to bring in reinforcements?
thanks

GM SuperTumbler |

Sorry for not getting back to you.
1. Finding Seven would probably be a good idea. She might know something about what is going on with Una since she has spent so much time dismantling her magic in the Netherworld.
Conjuring Adrian Eldrich or one of the other Master Mages from the past.
You might be able to track down any other magical foes or allies from past adventures. They might have insight.
You might find something in Una/Seven's palace in the Netherworld.
You have some connections with other gods. The god behind Sandstone's powers, the Devourer who has connections to Eoten. Gwynn ap Nud. They probably don't appreciate what Una is up to making herself a goddess.
The Heroes in the Retreat are pretty happy being in the retreat, and some of the most powerful of them were swatted away by the Titan without much effort. They might be a useful distraction, but as long as the Retreat exists, the Titan can throw them there pretty easily.

"Eldritch" Max Sinclair |

Thanks for the advice. It's what I needed, because I'm thinking in rounds of combat.
I assumed gathering information like that takes many rounds, more than we had.
Will post tonight.
cheers

Hello, all. With each of your characters, I am walking a tight rope trying to give you cool things to do, pay off long term character arcs, and get us to both an awesome end of the narrative and an awesome end of you individual stories.
I hate to ask too much permission, because that creates spoilers, and some of you like to be more meta than others.
That said, always feel free to let me know what you are thinking in and out of character. I want everyone to leave this campaign feeling like they had the best experience possible.
