Maybe attach some of the advantages to the sword? Or even give the sword a variable power that only works for advantages. Like it is helping her out, or even a sort of training program for the wielder of the sword.

You don't have any sort of movement power, but I'm not sure what would be appropriate.

Movement powers will be helpful. Perhaps a pair of boots that grant speed/leaping, or maybe just by wielding the sword it boosts the user's powers. Movement powers are always great to have. I remember I had a character in the MMO City of Heroes who was a normie with training and I was staunchly against him having any movement powers. It sucked and I was often left behind because of it.

Of course, that could be a thing to add later.

Maybe some sort of fey sight?

I had this happen in one of Tumbler's other games, and I agree it was no fun. I had a character whose top speed was about 60 MPH in a group with people who could zip around the country in a single action.

I think there isn't too much of a disparity in movement in our builds so far, so it shouldn't be too painful.

Yeah, that's the good thing about starting at PL 8; makes the absurd movements speeds harder to consistently get.
