GM Q: Under Entropic pool, it states that you can gain Entropy Points in the followings ways...
"If you take two move actions on the same turn to move your speed each time, you gain 1 EP"
Would your interpretation be that, although Rar'gul took the two Move actions last turn, because the he failed the check on the second he didn't actually "move his speed" and won't get the second EP?
Thanks in advance.

I think I would agree that Rar'gul would NOT get the EP due to the fact that no movement took place.

I have been dreadfully under the weather lately. I believe allergies have brought on a sinus infection.
Pardon my slow posts.
To complicate matters, I am headed out on a long weekend with my wife Friday, so posting will be limited. Hopefully I can find a good combination of ibuprofen, sudafed, and an antihistamine that works for this little trip.
My goal will be a good post tomorrow that will give you some direction, and then we will plan on a short break until Monday next week.

Still a little behind the 8-ball this week. I see things opening up next week. I really want to get this group (along with my Junker's Delight and Aeon Throne games) back to 6 GM posts a week. I made the mistake of agreeing to run a couple of games for the current online convention mostly happening on the Paizo boards.
One of those games is ending now.
All in all, it's good to for community, but it's taken away all of my bandwidth.

Apologies for dropping off the face of the earth. Started a new long term job in SoCal. Prepping to go, travel and trying to finish up some open tasks from last week have kept me away.
I'm likely to be slow posting for another few days. BOt as needed please.

Gulp! That was a close thing, Beau!

Congrats on the new gig and good luck with the move! That's super exciting.

I just want to mention that I loved the way T'sorkel's inner dialogue and distress were incorporated into a post about him being out of spells!

Thanks, Rar'gul! I've always been uncertain what it should feel like running out of spells, especially with the simple vancian system.

I hate to do this, as I am already not completely satisfied with the pace I am keeping in this group.
That said, I would like to ask you all for a very brief break. We have had a death in the family (my mother in law, not a surprise as she was receiving hospice care--this truly is one of those times where it can be considered a blessing in many ways).
I'd just like a few days. Perhaps we can see what (or who?) is on the bridge of this thing approximately Monday next week.

Of course, real life takes priority.

Wanted to second SuperS's comments.
I do love this game. Thank you to you all.

Apologies about being silent lately... life, work, and PaizoCon all kept me hopping for the last week. I'll post tonight.

Regarding Beauregard's concern about gear upgrades:
This is a criticism I have of this AP as well. I tried to remedy it somewhat with "Captain Rameem's Vending Machine" back on the Chimera. While you all certainly had a few credits, there wasn't a whole lot you could afford as far as level 2 weapons and armor back then.
The bizarre machine in the gray outpost also was an opportunity to get an upgrade in gear, but again, I know that also had its limitations.
I can tell you that in the short term you should have the opportunity to liberate a few choice pieces of equipment. In the long term, of course you'll be popping back to civilization for a bit in the coming books.

LEVELLED UP!
Summary:
- A nice boost to Entropic Strike (now 2d6)
- New theme ability: Flash of Prescience sounds fun and might prove useful every so often (and hopefully not too much of a headache for GM Q)
- New Vanguard Discipline: Entropic Veil will hopefully mitigate some of those wasted rounds due to failed saves.
I've been fortunate to find armour and a weapon along the way that have kept relatively close level-wise. That allowed me to purchase a few nice extra items when those few opportunities have allowed.
That said, Rar'gul is starting to outgrow them now - especially with most recent level. Looking forward to seeing what goodies are on the cards in the near future.

GM Quirk |

Thanks for remembering your theme ability, Rar'gul. I was going to remind you all to make sure you take note of that.
I am going to take a serious look at the amount of credits and UPB's that may pop up for you in this second half of book three. I am going to take a look at what the median price of a level 7 weapon or armor is, and try to make sure there is enough for each of you to make that sort of purchase at the end of the book.
Meanwhile, as I noted, I think you will find that there may be the opportunity to liberate some good gear once things truly get underway here.

T’sorkel |

I think T'sorkel is done.
Theme ability is big: Trap Spotter! Just have to be within 10 feet of the trap to get a secret perception roll, and with T'sorkel's high perception, this should be a good chance.
He also got Peer into the Future, giving him a +4 to any initiative, skill, or save roll 1/day.
And his paranoia made him choose See Invisibility as his new spell.
T'sorkel will ask Yariel to upgrade his living matrix weapon if he can get the UPB to do so. He will also be saving up for Mind Mail since it seems thematic, but he really wants a Telespectrum Circlet.

Woot for the level up! I'll give some thought to which side gets the new level.
More to come... but for now, all the WOOT!!

GM Quirk |

Just put a preview of the map up on the slides, along with a nice piece of artwork from the book. Take a look at slides 2 and 3. Please note that the map is only a portion of the facility. You will have complete freedom to move about the area on the map, but you may not go further into the facility--the guards will stop you.

GM Quirk |

I have been agonizing as far as how this part of the adventure will go. I think it was written with in-person play in mind, and it doesn't necessarily translate well to PBP.
I think I have decided how I want to handle this.
Here's how this part is going to go...
Instead of taking each of you individually and RPing out a full examination and interview, I think we will do as more of a montage scene. Though all of you will be asked a very similar set of questions in your interrogation, I think I will concentrate on just one question for each of you in the gameplay. I'm going to do this openly, without spoilers. Please let me know if there are any concerns with this. You may always put your response in spoilers if you wish to be mysterious. Or...maybe you just want put something in spoilers to ask me about my recipe for BBQ pulled pork, which I made this past weekend.
I am making an initial post momentarily. The interrogation scene will happen later this week.

I decided to balance the level 6 Lilly so she's Biohacker 3 / Envoy 3. We'll see what happens next level...
Among the adds and bonuses are:
* Spark of Ingenuity (once per day, she can combine two basic or minor biohacks together... bwahahah!)
* Boosts to Life Science, Medicine, and Physical Science skills
* Boost to Will save
* Added 1/2 Level specialization for weapons she's proficient in because of the from the Biohacker injection class feature
Apologies -- again -- about disappearing. I'll do better.

Supersuperlative |

You're a funny guy, SuperS. :-)
Ah, I merely imitated you.
I really enjoyed your creation of "speeciality"!
Also, I just wanted to mention that some of the details from the skirmish aboard the Voidcrier were a bit hazy in my mind so I went back and reviewed the posts from that time - that was a pretty crazy sequence of events with some really awesome posts.
With the fragmented nature of PBP, I found it was interesting to get a more cohesive flow in the reread.
On that note, I just want to mention how much I enjoy this game and all of your characters.
