Hey everyone... I'm still alive, just been on vacation.
I'll get a post up tonight.

Hello friends!
I'm so sorry. Yes, there have been so many real life distractions that always seem to make me...uhhh...distracted.
Among them has been a lot of hard work to prepare for interviews for a new job with the library where I work. I might not be hired, but it's been a good experience nonetheless. More news to come there. I'm in a great place, because I LOVE my current job.
Sit tight...more to come soon.

A bit of news as we get things more fully underway here.
Another player contacted me recently hoping to join this group. I believe he had played book one and part of book 2. The player's handle here is Sharkbite, and hopefully they're lurking around here and might make a post.
Here's the best news for all of you: Sharkbite wishes to bring his mystic, so you might have dual healers in this group!
Sharkbite, feel free to say hello!
I think this will be great for all of us to build back some posting frequency.
I'm honestly still not sure how to bring this new character in, but I'll figure it out. I may just press an easy button and have them be a disoriented refugee from Tyralkis base (that will get Sharkbite in with the group more quickly).

Another Shirren! Glad to have someone else with healing duties. T'sorkel is really not a focused healer. That said, I haven't found many instances where it's been absolutely needed.

Thanks for making a guy feel welcome.
I'm happy to post in; I was just sort of waiting for an opening where it would make enough sense that the rest of the team could justify finding some shred of trust. Which in this campaign is easier said than done.

Thank you for taking the initiative to post, Pokotho.
Just a heads up, I'm going to go ahead and change my pic so Pokotho can use his chosen shirren pic. This may take a bit of time to get used too, but I'm pleased to make a change.
I can change mine if that makes it easier for people. I just looked up Shirrens and there were only two, one of which was already being used by T'sorkel. Didn't realize that I was stealing yours.
There's probably one with just a Holy Symbol or something that I can nab instead.

No no...I insist you use the one you were using. I like this new dragon--I just saw the D&D movie, so I rather like being the dragon DM!

With the Priest theme, my level 6 benefit is:
Mantle of the Clergy
You have reached a rank of authority in your religion. Typical lay followers of your religion have a starting attitude of helpful toward you and will often provide you with simple assistance on request due to some combination of adoration, respect, or fear (depending on your religion), and even other clergy must give your opinions due consideration in matters of disagreement. You gain a +2 bonus to Diplomacy and Intimidate checks against lay followers and lower-ranking clergy.
Sounds like he is known enough that you might have heard of him. Not like Space-Pope style or anything, but enough that his name has floated around and his robes are recognizeable.
The general buzz about him these days based on his backstory and set-up for the adventure is that he's kind of had a bit of a crisis of faith, and so he left his congregation to travel, but then he disappeared (was abducted by Grays).

T’sorkel |

I'm at a conference this week. I should be able to post in the late evenings, but it may be sparse or inconsistent. Please bot if needed.

T’sorkel |

Lol. Definitely work conference and not a Con.
Tech conference. AI, Fintech, Quantum tech, etc.

@T'sorkel.
Yup. Pokotho has Mindlink. And I figured the quick synopsis would be better for moving things forward than going into an extended detail of my experiences in the first two books when it's bound to come across as fairly similar to your own. What with the Gray's simulation and everything, it seems easy enough that they were running this experiment with more than one group, and the Chimera is just the setting they had programmed for it.

When I created Rar'gul there was only the small amount of flavour text on Trox from the Alien Archive available.
Over the weekend I revisited the Trox entry on Archives of Nethys and it's been updated with information from Interstellar Species - so much more details now! Also includes a little about Nchak, Hylax and some cultural tidbits.
I'm looking forward to adding some in the future! (I already slipped one in on my last post LOL)

Mostly, though I had a lot more staffing duties than really being able to enjoy the conversations. I was working with a lot of people I like; I'm just exhausted by the end.

I can imagine. Even when working with great people, being on the go the whike time will take it out if you.
Hopefully you've been able to get some rest by now! :)

Fun stuff, Janosian.
ET, I know what you're saying. I've got my industry's big conference coming up in July. I'll be teaching for two days. Proctoring certification tests on the third, and trying to catch up with new tech and software, and conference friends in between. It will be exhausting.

Thanks. :)
The more I read it, the worse it sounded to me, and I didn't want to throw weird sauce into our game because I'm having a great time.
On a separate note, is anyone playing in PaizoCon this weekend?
It looks like I'll only be running one game (it's full!) which means I'm getting to play more than usual.

![]() |

I'm playing a few for PaizoCon.
Friday Evening - Through Sea & Storm
Saturday Morning - Drift Scars
Saturday Afternoon - Battle for Bulwark
Sunday Evening - Year of Fortunes Fall
Monday Afternoon - Sangoros Gifts
If there's something anybody needs an extra player for Saturday evening, I'm still free in that slot.
1-4 is Envoy (Chipolte Maplewood)
5-8 is Nanocyte (MicroCorp)
9-12 is Poncho (Mechanic)

![]() |

Oh, wow. Janos, I've played in some of your games in the past. You do great work.
Yeah. I'm MicroCorp. MicroCorp has honestly been one of my favorite characters I've ever done. He might not be mechanically the most optimized character, but he's just way fun thematically.

The vehicle allocations per one of John's posts and my sense of how we left the base were:
Truck -- John (pilot), Rar'gul
Cruiser 1 -- Beau (pilot), T'sorkel, Pokotho (T'sorkel was holding a gun on Pokotho)
Cruiser 2 (spare) -- Doc Flintbridge
If Beau was never driving, I guess we could retcon it to put the three of you from Cruiser 1 into Doc's car or the truck.
