Hey y’all! Like many of us, I’m stuck inside for an unspecified amount of time and unable to play games in person, so I’ve decided to do it online!

Looking for 4-6 players to go on a pulpy sci-fi adventure. Our story begins with a sequence of strange events and a mysterious disappearance aboard the luxury space liner, the Chimera. Our heroes will have to find and piece together the clues to unravel the conspiracy!

This might be my favorite Starfinder AP so far. Without spoiling too much, it’s very reminiscent of classic sci-fi and alien conspiracies. Think X-Files, The Twilight Zone, Close Encounters, Area 51, the Roswell Incident, etc etc. and maybe keep those in mind as inspiration when creating characters.

About Me:
I’m a 24-year-old nonbinary human from the American Southeast. I got into tabletop games about six years ago and began GMing about four years ago. I’ve dabbled in play-by-post and online games before, though not for a while and never as a GM, so please be aware I'm still learning! This is my only online game and I plan on keeping it that way so it will have my undivided attention, and I fully intend to stick around for the full adventure.

Roleplay and character driven stories are my favorite parts of gaming, so I will gloss over combat at times if I feel like it's dragging on. I’m pretty flexible with the rules in general and see them more as guidelines. My role as a GM is to encourage creativity and make sure y’all are having fun, so zany and unique approaches will often be rewarded (as long as they make some sort of sense)!

Also, I’m very much an advocate for safe and inclusive spaces in gaming. Diverse players and characters are given preference at my table. Fair warning that if I sense any oppressive nonsense I will not hesitate to kick you.

Pace:
I’m not in any hurry and prefer quality over quantity, so this will be a slower paced game. Story-driving posts will come at most every 2-3 days, with smaller updates every 1-2 days. I expect about the same from players, though if y’all want to RP with each other with more frequency I encourage that!

Character Creation:
Level 1, any Paizo, 1,000 starting credits.

I care more about your character’s personality than their backstory, and more about their backstory than their build. Given the nature of this AP, well thought out characters with interesting personalities, morals, and motivations will really add to the game. Here’s the basic information I want to see, feel free to include anything else you feel is relevant:

Name:
Race:
Class:
Gender and Pronouns:
General Backstory:
Personality:
Flaw(s):
Quirk(s):

Backgrounds:
Your character will also need a reason for being aboard the Chimera, traveling from Near Space to the Pact Worlds at game start. The AP provides the following backgrounds, though you should feel free to create your own (subject to my input and approval).

Artist: You’re taking the Chimera to reach a showing or your next gig somewhere in the Pact Worlds. Whether the show is in a small gallery or venue on Absalom Station or a larger site, such as Songbird Station in the Diaspora, you plan on arriving on time and meeting your supporters and fans. This background fits well with the ace pilot, icon, and gladiator themes.

Entrepreneur: In attempting to start your own business, you received word that a firm within the Pact Worlds is interested in supplying the funds you need. They want you to come in person to present your business plan or a sample of your work, so you booked passage on the Chimera to take advantage of the opportunity. This background fits well with the biotechnician, corporate agent, and roboticist themes.

Intellectual: The Chimera is taking you back to the Pact Worlds after a successful expedition to a Near Space planet or interesting cosmic phenomenon. You have much information to impart to your colleagues, some of which you believe might further the understanding of your field of study. This background fits well with the scholar, xenoseeker, and xenoarchaeologist themes.

Traveler: Your home is in the Pact Worlds, and you’re coming back from an extended vacation. Alternatively, you’re on your way to tour the Pact Worlds as part of a whirlwind journey through the galaxy. The Chimera was the only vessel departing on your timetable. This background fits well with the spacefarer, tempered pilgrim, wild warden, and xenoseeker themes.

Veteran: Lucrative warrior work is on offer in the Pact Worlds. Whether you’re providing security for a ruthless corporation or aiding a small group against the predations of space pirates, the proposed job fits your morals. This background fits well with the bounty hunter, mercenary, outlaw, and space pirate themes.

Visionary: A vision from another plane of existence calls you to the Pact Worlds, so you purchased passage aboard the Chimera. You aren’t entirely certain what awaits you when you arrive, but you are sure you will be guided to where you need to be. This background fits well with the dream prophet, priest, and solar disciple themes; the theme can help you decide whether you are devoted to a deity or some other force.

Recruitment is tentatively open for a week, maybe longer if there's enough interest! If you have any questions (or advice for running a play-by-post game), let me know!

Dotting for interest, most likely the Visionary Background, though some type of “Fugitive” background might also be interesting... A fugitive visionary perhaps.

Are classes from the Character Operations Manual allowed - I do have a fondness for the Witchwarper class...

Submission:

Name: Astos
Race: Human

General Backstory: Astos is a priestess of Desna and professional musician. She tours year round, aside from a 3 year break she took after she nearly died on Eox at the hands of an undead mob.
Personality: Caring, Supportive, priestess of Desna
Flaw(s): Hate's Undead
Quirk(s): Plays music as part of spellcasting

Backgrounds:

Yes, they are absolutely allowed!

Great, thanks for the headsup. And races from all Alien Archives? I only access them from Archives of Nethys/d20PFSRD...

Character idea coalescing - a fugitive visionary on the run from their religion/sect for anathematic beliefs pertaining to heretical dogma and tenets...

Yup! I'd say anything from Archives of Nethys is fine.

Ok, sent you a PM...

Advice for running a PBP game:

*PBP games will take 5-10 times longer to complete than tabletop games. That means that for an adventure path, realistically looking at a multi-year investment in the game. Because of this, there are a few things worth mentioning related to it:

- Don't make any particular character the "main" character, because as soon as you do they will drop from the game.

- You should expect to have to re-recruit for your game. It's not anyone's fault, per se, but attrition does happen.

*Playing a PBP is different then playing a tabletop game: people will tend to post longer posts (especially when the game is new), and most people will only post once a day.

*Have a plan for using a map. Google Drive, OneDrive, Roll20, or something similar are all good examples.

*The hardest thing to do as a GM is to know when to start pushing the group forward to the next encounter/scene. it's art, not science, and really only comes with experience.

*Any "common" curtesy things that you would do in a tabletop group should apply as well; treat people reasonably well, even if you disagree with them; in character conflict can be fine as long as everyone agrees and is having a good time; and don't violate Wheton's law (which is best summed up as "don't be a d#$k").

*I'm sure there's a bunch of stuff that I'm missing, but those should prolly point you in the right direction...

Good advice Vrog. I’ll put these here too:

Building a Better Doomed Hero: Painlord’s Guide to Advanced PbP play

I love me some X-Files, so I'm interested, though I have little familiarity with Starfinder. I wonder how you can create an X-Files/Area 51 feel in a world that's already full of aliens, but I'm at least counting on sinister shadow government experiments being afoot!

Submission outline:

Name: Larka the Lab Rat

Race: Ysoki

Class: Biohacker

Gender and Pronouns: Female, she/her

General Backstory: Born in poverty on Akiton, she was told from early age that studying is her only way out of it. Spent all her youth studying and eventually got a scholarship into a medical school. She found her comfort zone there and went into post-grad doing comparative neurological research, when the planet got invaded. With the school shut down, she was drafted into the military as a nurse. She did her best and was valued for her skills and knowledge, but at the same time she became increasingly traumatized by the lack of resources to help all of her patients and the continued suffering around her. This has led to several breakdowns in front of her colleagues and superior officers whom she came to see as unsupportive and uncaring of the troops (regardless of whether it was objectively true or not), so after the war has ended, she was dishonorably discharged and was not accepted back into academia due to the links between the army command and the top faculty. She currently travels the Pact Worlds in search of a new purpose in life (Traveler background).

Personality: generally bookish and aloof, she is prone to occasional outbursts of laughter or sympathy when something catches her off-guard, before quickly returning into her usual shell.

Flaw(s): After her experiences on the war, she is scared of loud noises and often becomes afraid that someone's out to get her or that she cannot trust those around her.

Quirk(s): Twitching nose and whiskers; she has a habit of carrying a handheld device for field notes and dictation in her cheek pouch, taking it out with a popping sound at the most inopportune times.

Dotting with significant interest! I've been watching and waiting for this specific AP to appear on the forums. I'll put together a submission in the next couple days - something akin to the medical doctor role in classic pulp mystery repackaged as a halfling envoy (perhaps with a dip in biohacker down the line).

I am definitely interested in this ... Have a character I've been thinking of for a while, but which is a race I can't find a boon for in Starfinder Society, and it would be *perfect* for this campaign ...

Submission:

Name: K'yorann Lueltar (nickname: "K'ran")
Race: Drow
Class: Operative (Detective)
Gender and Pronouns: Male, he/him/his
General Backstory: K'ran is from Apostae, where he grew up with little but his own mind to keep him occupied. At an early age, his intellect was recognized, leading him into training among the Drow ranks of spies and infiltrators. While being trained, he uncovered a betrayal by one of the noble houses, and orchestrated a trap to reveal the traitor. When he exposed the treachery, he was offered a post within the security forces of one of the Houses. He declined it, instead used the House's desire for secrecy as leverage to negotiate a deal where he would be an independent contractor, but one who had a priority contract for two decades with the House. During that time, he has taken various jobs off of Apostae, and even out of the Pact Worlds, to get a change of scenery and learn about different cultures, which he feels helps him learn more about different cultures. His priority contract with the Drow noble House has just wrapped up, giving him less reason to return to Apostae and more opportunity to travel and experience new cultures.
Personality: K'ran's mind is constantly working, sifting through information and trying to find a new puzzle or challenge to tackle. He is always seeking new inputs and stimulation, including intellectual stimulation.
Flaw(s): Extreme curiosity. Cannot avoid looking into a mystery. Dislikes and distrusts authority figures and bullies.
Quirk(s): Tries to throw people off by pretending to be less alert than he actually is ... until he's got a full read of the situation.
Background:
Either Intellectual or Traveler, I think.
Theme: Sensate

Submission:
Name: Doctor Lillithbryne "Lilly" Flint-bridge (she/her); she avoids giving her first name whenever possible

Gender/Race/Class: Female halfling envoy w/ expertise in Medicine, likely taking a dip in biohacker in the near future

Theme: Battle medic

General Backstory: Born in the Drift to a family of long-haul freighters and traders, little Lilly set foot on a dozen worlds under a dozen stars before she even learned to walk. Ever curious (and burdened with sticky fingers), she frequently found herself in hot water with the locals, which taught her the value of charm, wit, and bold-faced lies.

Frustrated with the limited opportunities available to the sixth child of a cargo freighter family, Lilly decided she would attend medical school. When her lack of academic credentials became an issue, she "acquired" the appropriate paperwork, and in short order the ambitious halfling was attending lectures at an esteemed Castrovelian university. By-in-large, Lilly succeeded in the challenging academic environment, but after four years of intensive study she grew impatient, and she signed up to take her final exams two years ahead of schedule. Faced with this impossible task, she took the only option she felt she had, concocting an elaborate scheme to obtain the test answers and cheat her way out. Unfortunately, her ruse was discovered and the intrepid halfling was summarily expelled.

Undaunted by this setback, "Doc Flint" grabbed her meager belongings and took to the Vast, where doctors are in short supply and people don't question credentials. Slowly building a reputation as a medic-for-hire with various mercenary groups, Doc Flint is finally heading back to the Pact Worlds in the hopes of securing more lucrative work.

Reason for boarding the Chimera: Veteran

Personality: Headstrong, intelligent, and insatiably curious, Doc Flint is accustomed to getting what she wants by shear force of will and getting out before things turn sour. She can be charming and polite, but struggles getting close to people, often viewing relationships as transactional.

Flaw(s): Doc Flint has issues with authority (other than her own) and a natural resistance to conventional wisdom, medical or otherwise. She also has a dangerous habit of delving into dangerous situations without a plan or a way out, relying on halfling luck and her own wits to escape unharmed.

Quirk(s): Doc Flint tends to rely on her force of personality when her medical talents fail, attempting to convince her patients that their injuries aren't as bad as they appear to be. This has, surprisingly, some success. She also has a tendency to overdress for the occasion and employ a (fake) high-class accent, implying that she is the very expensive kind of doctor. If the situation ever becomes especially dire, her adversaries may be surprised to learn that this medical professional carries a caustic punchgun hidden in a concealed compartment within her cybernetic arm.

Dotting for interest.

I am thinking "John Constantine"...lol.

Submission:

Name: John Constantine

Race: Human

Class: Envoy or technomancer

Gender and Pronouns: male and he

General Backstory: John has had a rough life. His forays into the Dart Arts has cause him some slight problems throughout the years. It has also given him quite the reputation in the Occult circles...

Personality: Constantine is a foul-mouthed, disillusioned, British cynic who pursues a life of sorcery and danger.

Flaw(s): His motivation has been attributed to an adrenaline addiction that only the strange and mysterious can sate.

Quirk(s): Constantine smokes Silk Cut cigarettes, consuming thirty or so a day. Constantine also occasionally breaks the fourth wall, where he talks to the reader and narrates the story himself.

Background: Visionary: A vision from another plane of existence calls you to the Pact Worlds, so you purchased passage aboard the Chimera. You aren’t entirely certain what awaits you when you arrive, but you are sure you will be guided to where you need to be. This background fits well with the dream prophet, priest, and solar disciple themes; the theme can help you decide whether you are devoted to a deity or some other force.

Just a rough idea.

Thank you for running!

Apologies; timed out:
Class: Witchwarper seems to fit more

Hey there! I'd love to play some starfinder so I'm dotting in, will submit a Mystic with the new melophile connection, maybe with a solar weapon epiphany n.n

Since @Vrog already submitted a mystic I'll instead apply with a technomancer n.n
A junksword build May be interesting o.o

lol you were totally gonna submit my build (I'm going melophile) =P

I have never played Starfinder, though I own the core book, would that be an issue for this? I am interested.

Alright, here is my technomancer, I think I'll take the Cache hack alternate feature but still not sure if going the Junksword path or use a longarm x.x

Alkaid Trez Submission:

Name: Alkaid Trez.

Race: Asanan Elf (COM pg.31)

Class: Technomacer.

Gender and Pronouns: Female, She/Her.

General Backstory: Alkaid is a young -by elven standards- Elf woman who was raised by a Lashunta couple on Castrovel, specifically on Quabarat, she always had knack for magic and it was no surprise when she choose to study technomancy, as an Elf, times passes rather fast for her, she was always in a rush to keep the pace with Lashuntas and other short lived races who in few years became fully realized adults and professionals, despite the fact that she has way more time than them to accomplish those things.
Following the path of the Damaya she keeps studying after learning the basis of technomancy and after that she focused on studying ancient or exotic alien technologies, however like all Elves that lives among other races she eventually becames a forlorn, her adoptive parents died of age and she fell in a deep depression, thanksfully she wasn't the only forlorn and after some moths of mourning she seeks help and advise from other Elves who has going through similar experiences and eventually gets back to her studies.
It was then that she was invited to an expedition on near space to explore some ancient cities and it's hidden technology caches, she hesitates a little but at the end accepts the offer believing that some field work may cheer her and so she left the Pact Worlds' system.
That was four years ago and now she must return to the Pact Worlds in order to bring the expedition's findings to the Quabarat University but truth be told the young Elf has grown fond of exploring and adventuring and is currently considering to join the Starfinder Society, now in order to return she and some colleagues are taking The Chimera... If just they knew...

Personality: Alkaid is usually an outgoing and reckless girl, she's pretty devoted to her work and is at home on any lab or technological workshop, she's quite the brain and loves technology with an almost religious zeal, from computers to mechanical and even ancient clockwork devices, she's however not a weak willed person and may lose her temper easily if someome makes fun of her for any reason.
She's not shy or a social butterfly but deeply treasures the relationships she has with others and never ignores her friends, she knows that most of them will pass away centuries before her and as such they deserve all of her attention, that being said, despite her good intentions she's quite awkard in social situations due to her overall nerdyness.
She firmly believes that both magic and sciences are meant to be mastered and if given the chance she'll always prefer a magical or technologically advanced solution to a mundane one, she is also considering to get some augmentations.
Like everyone, Alkaid is hardly perfect as she tends to get either childish or whimsical for time to time and is usually stubborn about the decisions she takes even if these lack logic.
While she is a good person at heart, her morality is pretty flexible and don't mind some trickery, mischief or underhanded tactics as long as her actions are for the sake of a greater good or don't hurt any innocent in the process, she doesn't really care about some rich corporations losing a few credits but will never hurt anyone without a good reason, self defense is acceptable.

Flaw(s): She's rather impulsive and reckless, she can also act childish or whimsical at times, Alkaid also lacks social grace and better stays quiet on a Gala or similar situation.

Quirk(s): She considers herself a Lashunta despite obviusly being an Elf and even identifies herself as a Damaya one, she founds the insectile appearence of the Shirrens somewhat unsettling, she doesn't hate them or anything but can't help feeling a little scared of them, the same is true for Haans, Formians, the Swarm and other insect like races.

Background: Intellectual, She is a Xenoarchaeologist.

I'm liking these submissions y'all! Definitely excited to get this going.

Do you want us to go ahead and stat out our characters as well or wait until you've picked submissions?

OSW here. This is the empty alias of my Copaxi Witchwarper - I’m just reading through THIS to get a fuller understanding of Copaxi culture. Then crunch/backstory.

I am intrigued by Starfinder though I have never ever played it. Not sure what I'll be, I'll have to look through the basics and see what looks simple/good.

Hobb Submission:

Name: Hobb
Race: Pahtra
Class: Mechanic
Theme: Quartermaster (Near Space)

Gender and Pronouns: Male; He/Him

General Backstory: Hobb used to work for the Vesk military as a tank mechanic and quartermaster, until a tank he was working on exploded, causing quite a bit of scarring and rehab. He made a full recovery but was honorably discharged. Since then he has decided to see the galaxy and figured the least expensive way to do that was to join on a starship as an engineer. He enjoys the work but sometimes wishes he could see a little more action like he used to.

Personality: Generally easy going, though once he is set to a task he is laser focused on it until it is done. His years of military service have taught him that order is good, but rigidity can cause problems if no leeway is built into a plan.

Flaw(s): Can be hard to talk to when working on a project. Generally likes to think through a situation before engaging.

Quirk(s): Always has a set of welding goggles on his person. When working on machinery will generally be playing Vesk metal music in his earbuds.

Background: Traveler

Vrog Skyreaver wrote:

If you would like to stat out your character, feel free to do so, but it’s not required until I’ve picked submissions!

I've already most of my build finished on paper, will put it on an alias soon as well as a header.

Basically I'll use s small arm with the new double tap feat, take Cache hack devastator's list to have unlimited supercharge weapon and get into powered armor at level 7, at that point I may as well start to use Junksword to deal with melee.

I'm also taking ranks on piloting at every level so I may be either the gunner or pilot if needed but I may fill any starship role easily.

I've never played Starfinder but it does look very interesting.

I'd be looking at a Vanguard using the Power Armor Jockey archetype. He'd be a Kasath Native Kasatha who was fed up with the crumbling planet his family had decided to live on and now works security details.

Aargh, not had time to read up on copaxi yet so I’ll tackle the character creation aspects you wanted:

Amidst Blue/Green: Free Calicle:

Name: Amidst Blue/Green: Free Calicle. “Ah-mids” or “Cally” for short.
Race: Copaxi
Class: Witchwarper
Gender and Pronouns: Multi-gendered, They/their
General Backstory: Amidst spliced from a generating bed on the copaxi homeworld, and formed an individual sentience soon after. Showing aptitude for history and cultural studies, the young Copaxi struggled to fit into the group/individual sentience within an group/individual society.
Moreover, Amidst began to “see” things that never were or could almost never but did happen, and was swiftly diagnosed with background dissonance sentience disorder, a fracture of the multi-organism/individual sentience that most copaxi overcome early on. Amidst’s own inability to gel with this diagnosis and increasing belief that they were experiencing real fluctuations in space-time causality led only to increasing friction. Coupled with an anathematic regard for AI and machine organisms, Amidst’s almost constant variance with copaxi life became untenable and hey were marked for reconstitution, their physicality broken down and recovered for nutrients. Clearly this was against Amidst’s own individual desire, so they escaped their homeworld, stowing away on the Chimera.
Personality: Amidst is mostly quiet and thoughtful - although their escape and subsequent fugitive status is a rash occurence, Amidst is generally a planner and perceiver before taking radical action. Amidst prefers to let others speak first and respond without emotional reaction. However, if philisophical or metaphysical subjects are espoused Amidst becomes slightly more animated.
Flaw(s): Amidst has great trouble delineating individual and group activity or outcomes, and will brazenly state their opinions of various activities and possible outcomes in such terms and with high opinion. Amidst will conflate individual agency with group outcomes and vice versa.
Quirk(s): Amidst loves language and vernacular, and mixes archaic and slang terminology indiscriminately.

Looks like it's been a week. Any idea when we'll see some decisions? Looking forward to starting this one (if lucky enough to get picked).

I'm gonna leave this open for a few more days! Let's say Friday the 17th at 12AM (EST) is the deadline for submissions, and then we can hopefully get started by the following Monday. Thanks y'all!

Contributor

Glad it was still open by the time I noticed the thread. Here's a submission:

Name: Benedet Corvaddo
Race: Tiefling
Class: Operative (Hacker)
Gender and Pronouns: Male (He/Him)
General Backstory: Benedet never really trusted or learned to rely on anyone when it counts. The only child of a home broken on the back of infidelity, Benedet learned self reliance all too young in the deepest and darkest parts of Little Akiton in the Arms district of Absalom Station. As a tiefling, he was never really welcome anywhere and seemed destined for the type of scorn usually reserved for Eoxians and cultists. "Little Crow," as he'd been called by some of the local gang members could have been one of the most successful hackers in the streets and eked out a decent living hacking into places he should have avoided- like Bluerise Tower. The white hats in charge found the nine year old tiefling endearing enough to teach him how to avoid the pratfalls he'd blundered into and educated him into security hacking. For the majority of his formative years, Benny wandered from reputable position in coding or white hat security to joining or even leading subversive types in extra-legal activity. By his twenties he'd spent an equal amount of time in the most lavish establishments and the least enticing prison cells. He's had legitimate jobs for the least reputable companies like Frozen Trove one day, and committed outright thievery on behalf of the Arcanamirium the next. But finally, he'd crossed the wrong mark and decided the better part of valor was far, far away in the Veskarium.
Personality: The means follow the ends for Benedet. If he has a goal, he's all to happy to dive in way over his head to achieve it. This usually ends with him worse off than when he began his journey, but he's come to terms with those odds. Benedet acts with the immediacy and invincibility of youth, which is remarkable for someone that has failed as often and as miserably as he is. He tends to be overly sarcastic to the point of caustic, but tries to see things from the point of view of others, even if they are his mark.
Flaw(s): Benedet makes terrible decisions and has to rely on his somewhat impressive luck way too often.
Quirk(s): Benedet talks to himself in the third person. From bouncing ideas off of himself in the coding mines to years of self reliance and lack of trusted friendships.
Backgrounds: Entrepreneur: Abadarcorp doesn't send offers for white hat programmers all that often, and with his pursuers long since off his trail, it was time for Benny to come back home. Booking passage on the Chimera was an easy choice, and one that should lead to a better life back home.

Name: Suli
Race: Suli
Class: Vanguard
Gender and Pronouns: He/Him
General Backstory: Suli was born...somwhere, to someone. He was found by his parents in the Diaspora and raised in the Sarcesian culture. He believed himself to be the runt of his group. His family, though caring, did not think much of his intellectual prowess. So he was trained to be a bodyguard. He seemed to have a natural toughness and often took hit after hit, shot after shot in stride.

He is travelling back home after taking a client to a destination in Near Space.

Personality: Suli is adorably dim and loves life and protecting people, because he is good at it.

Flaw(s): Suli is a concrete/literal thinker.

Quirk(s): He often talks in the third person.

Alright, if anyone wants to get a character in you still have a little while; I’m going to close submissions tonight at 12AM EST!

I'm going to withdraw as I've just gotten into a 2e game. Good luck everyone!

I've actually decided to adjust my PC somewhat.

Name: Fanzhador
Race:Drow
Class: Envoy
Gender and Pronouns: Male, he/him

General Backstory:
Honestly, this place is nice. The ambiance is perfect but I am smiply not in the mood to socialize. I want to be left alone with my beverage. Socializing is work, albeit work that I’m good at. So far, my personal space has be breached by people asuming that I’m for sale (for rent actually and not right now, thanks) or that I know where to acquire this-or-that illegal contraband portable deathray. Even those annoyances are easier to deal with than tiresome “Where are you from?” intro.
My life before is irrelevant! All that matters is that I made it out. Thank gods for my charm and minor psychic ability. What do I do? I survive. Hopefully, if I play my cards right I can do more than that. My so-called-family tried to kill me (it’s fine, where I’m from that’s normal) and I managed to fake my death. A nice extended vacation in Near-Space and I’m back! The Pact Worlds is my system. You don’t know how good you have it until you go to a place where “the rights of sapient beings” are more theory than practice. That makes the escorting work a little tricky but luckily I was able to vet clients and avoid anyone too dangerous. My last escorting job, I asked for passage to the Pact Worlds instead of my usual fee. I must be and even better experience than I thought because this Chimera is way nicer than the transports I’m used to.

Personality: snarky charmer
Flaw(s): bad with money
Quirk(s): Joey Tribiani smile. Cordelia Chase attitude.

I have been following this thread with interest the past couple of weeks.

Hopefully GM Algae won't mind that I would like to invite anyone who is NOT chosen for this game to reapply to my upcoming recruitment thread for The Threefold Conspiracy AP. I am busy with an online convention this weekend, but I am hoping to post recruitment this coming Monday.

GM Algae's thoughtfulness and preparation to coax good character ideas from all of you will be influential in my recruitment. I have one spot reserved for someone, but I'll be looking for four, possibly 5, others.

This is very nice of you GM Quirk; eagerly awaiting GM Algae's decision!

Thanks for the heads up GM Algae, and also the later recruitment GM Quirk!

Ooh, I sat this one out because inspiration wasn't forthcoming, but maybe by Monday I'll be able to come up with something! Thanks both of you! :D

I might throw something together for Quirk's game too.

I missed the entry window on this one, so I'm looking forward to apply to yours.

Between SFS, homebrews and APs, the later seem to be a more engaging/enjoyable playing experience.
