I'm thinking of running a human wizard with the detective background, maybe does some work with the local authorities or works solving small mysteries for the locals.

I would also be interested! I would like to keep playing Mikhail, but would be open to starting a new character as well. I have not played any of these adventures and they all look pretty interesting to me.

I'm interested in playing. I would like to play a Human Duskling Cleric (Warpriest) of Pharasma.

I'm interested. I haven't played the One Ring, but have the PDF. I've read LotR several times as well as the Hobbit. I am thinking of a hobbit scholar.

I have a monk made that I haven't played yet. Have played a little 2e PBP but not too much. I think that puts me in Normal Priority.

I'd be interested if you need another player.

I'm working on a half-orc alchemist. I'll try to get an avatar made by the end of the day today.

Dotting for interest. Will work up a character idea in the next few days.

Hope she is doing alright.

Here is my submission:

Talax, Human Witch (Background):
Talax has lived in Varisia his whole life. He was found in the ruins of a town on the northern coast, that looked as though it had been raided and pillaged, by a nomadic clan of merchants traveling through the area. He was taken in and adopted by them, but was young enough that he doesn't really remember his birth family. His new family traveled the length of Varisia, trading goods and services to the various communities. Talax was a quick study and would try to find new books to read on their journeys, and was especially interested in ancient Thassilon. Eventually he learned the merchant trade, with a focus on books, along with the general goods that the caravan sold.

When Talax was in his late-20's, he was out searching for herbs after the caravan had stopped for the evening on its way to the dedication of the new temple in Sandpoint and came accross a raven that was injured in a clearing. Talax took the bird in and bound its wounds. It became apparent to Talax that the raven was not a normal raven but something more. When it was healed, the raven offered Talax powers beyond what he could ever imagine,and being a student of knowledge and always seeking more, Talax agrees and begins his path to greater knowledge...

Duh! *smacks forehead*

Okay, last question before we begin. Rules & Expectations.

Rough expectation is that each person posts once per weekday and once per weekend. This won't be strict because it's a new player game. I'll reach out by PM if there are problems.

If you're checking the thread but have nothing to do, I recommend posting anyway to let others know that your lack of action is not because you're inactive, e.g., "Bill gives Jack a backrub while he reads through the evil wizard's journal."

I don't like botting people and won't do it without good reason.

Any other wuestions about expectations?

Nope, I'm excited to try out some 2e!

Whatever you think would be most enjoyable!

I'm going to withdraw as I've just gotten into a 2e game. Good luck everyone!

I'm interested. I have not played any PF2 yet but am decently versed in PF1 and Starfinder. Currently in a couple of Starfinder PBP games on here. I have a character made but need to register him for Society play if selected.

Hobb Submission:

Name: Hobb
Race: Pahtra
Class: Mechanic
Theme: Quartermaster (Near Space)

Gender and Pronouns: Male; He/Him

General Backstory: Hobb used to work for the Vesk military as a tank mechanic and quartermaster, until a tank he was working on exploded, causing quite a bit of scarring and rehab. He made a full recovery but was honorably discharged. Since then he has decided to see the galaxy and figured the least expensive way to do that was to join on a starship as an engineer. He enjoys the work but sometimes wishes he could see a little more action like he used to.

Personality: Generally easy going, though once he is set to a task he is laser focused on it until it is done. His years of military service have taught him that order is good, but rigidity can cause problems if no leeway is built into a plan.

Flaw(s): Can be hard to talk to when working on a project. Generally likes to think through a situation before engaging.

Quirk(s): Always has a set of welding goggles on his person. When working on machinery will generally be playing Vesk metal music in his earbuds.

Background: Traveler

Dotting for interest.

4d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 4, 1) = 14 ->13
4d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 5, 1) = 14 ->13
4d6 ⇒ (1, 5, 3, 6) = 15 ->14
4d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 5, 1) = 10 ->9
4d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 2, 1) = 10 ->9
4d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 3, 3) = 18 ->15

Not the best, let's try one more.

4d6 ⇒ (3, 5, 1, 6) = 15 ->14
4d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 4, 2) = 12 ->10
4d6 ⇒ (4, 3, 5, 2) = 14 ->12
4d6 ⇒ (3, 5, 1, 6) = 15 ->14
4d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 1, 6) = 14 ->13
4d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 3, 3) = 12 ->10

I'll try to put something together tonight or tomorrow. Probably a witch or a wizard.

4d4 + 2 ⇒ (1, 2, 4, 3) + 2 = 12
4d4 + 2 ⇒ (1, 2, 4, 2) + 2 = 11
4d4 + 2 ⇒ (1, 4, 3, 2) + 2 = 12
4d4 + 2 ⇒ (2, 1, 1, 4) + 2 = 10
4d4 + 2 ⇒ (1, 4, 1, 3) + 2 = 11
4d4 + 2 ⇒ (3, 1, 3, 4) + 2 = 13

Looks like it will probably be standard array for me.

I'm thinking of a ranger bounty hunter sort that can do ranged and melee. I'll try to get something built in the next couple of days. I'd like to do 4d6 drop the lowest, but I'm good with any of them.

I'd be interested.

Here is my submission:

Twilight Halfling Sorcerer

Backstory:
Peregrin is from a well off family of halflings in Druma, who run The Bronze Claw, and inn and tavern. He grew up helping around the place, serving and cooking. He also grew up hearing tales about a dragon that interacted with the family in the distant past, but always assumed it was just a story. That changed the day he began to develop magical powers and noticed that he could see better than anyone else in his family. Doing some research into the stories he found that they were most likely true and set out to find the dragon who had helped his family so long ago. Upon eventually finding Padrian, a bronze dragon, he offered to work for the dragon in exchange for training. Padrian accepted his offer and trained Peregrin in the use of his magic and also in Draconic Lore. Peregrin cooked and helped to maintain Padrian's library and home. When rumors of dragon activity to the west reached Padrian, Peregrin was sent to investigate. He arrived in Breachill a few days after the last Call for Heroes and has been helping out around town, mostly as a cook and server at Cayden's Keg.

I'm interested. Would like to tryout 2nd edition. I'll come up with something this weekend. I'm thinking a sorcerer or maybe a cleric.

I'm interested. I'm thinking a cleric or maybe a sorcerer.

I'm in. Netharan currently has a point in piloting and a point in computers, so I could either pilot or science officer.

Character Name:Netharan

Character Race:Damaya Lashunta

Character Class:Operative

Roleplaying Experience:I've been playing TTRPGs for ~10 years and have played 4th and 5th edition D&D a fair amount, along with Pathfinder. I'm currently in my first PBP and first Starfinder Society game on these forums as well.

Brief Backstory of the character:Netharan worked security contracts for ~5 years as a beat cop on Absalom Station before opening his own PI firm back on Castrovel. For the past 5 years he has worked as a private detective and occasional bounty hunter out of Qabarat.

Prior to joining the security force Netharan went through military training as a scout and learned basic stealth, survival and piloting techniques. He has since used this skills in his new career in tracking down criminals. He tries to take smaller jobs if he can afford it as he doesn't want to be tied down to any large corperations, though he has done jobs for them in the past. He is returning to Absalom Station at the request of an old partner to meet with a contact of the Starfinder Society about a potential job.

I'm thinking of maybe an operative, detective type character.

First Roll: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 5, 5) = 16->13
Second Roll: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 3, 5, 2) = 11->10
Third Roll: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 5, 3, 1) = 10->9
Fourth Roll: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 5, 4) = 18->15
Fifth Roll: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 3, 3) = 17->14
Sixth Roll: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 2, 1) = 11->10

Dotting, thinking of submitting an Inquisitor.

I'm not very familiar with Midgard and haven't done much PBP but would be very interested in playing.

If there is still room I would like to play an inquisitor.
