With two "don't care" I took the first positive choice (moments before I chose for you). In the interests of time, I made gather information checks for all of you. If you wish to not do this, don't read your spoiler and simply state your character does something else (even if it be to go with another on their quest for information).
I would really like to keep the game moving so that your characters will be free to play at PaizonCon Online should you choose to do so. The games in the convention will be played in real-time using other online tools. There will be plenty of tables available for beginners and there is a very experienced and supportive community to help people with the tech side if needed.

Yes, PaizoCon online will be awesome!

My method of VTT is discord text and chat, with google slides for maps. I'm primitive.

Anyone who wants to try a little VTT and has another character can head to Org Play Online and find the section for the right campaign. Chat with people and look for the game links in the various channels. They are a friendly and supportive bunch who will help walk you through things. Most games are Roll20 but there are other options.

In the interests of time, I am not running the optional encounter in this section. Also, I will ask you to determine if you are heading left or right first (presuming you will explore the place before settling down for the night) and I will provide description with pauses for activity where appropriate rather than explicitly waiting to search each and every nook and cranny.

Did someone have a template PF2e profile in this thread?
I thought there was one, but didn't see it in my scroll through.
Hi Mirko,
Sorry for the late response. I think I covered most of it for this group in the slides I made. Org Play PbP Intro slides.GM Numbat |
Sorry for the kind of lacklustre ending to this game. Part of it is the order chosen for the adventures and that they are teaching experiences. Also, we opted out of the optional encounter in the Haunted Mansion. This is a repeatable adventure so next time you may have a surprise. :-)
You also managed to identify and disarm both haunts without retriggering them later.
There are a number of variables each time you play this. One of the variables is the demeanour of the creature. You managed to score the bored creature and while I minimized keeping it occupied, it was definitely one of the non-combative options.
There is still some roleplay and the conclusion to complete.
I will try to have your chronicles ready tomorrow.
I do know that part of the problem has also been that my focus has been pulled the last several days and I have not been putting in as much as I would like.
I still hope this has been an adequate introduction to PFS2 and PbP.
Please feel free to ask any remaining questions.

Your primary objective was to complete all four missions. This has earned you 2 Fame and 2 Reputation.
The Secondary Objectives were:
• Successfully occupy at least three of the four non–faction leader NPCs at the party.
• Nonviolently pacify the fleshforge creature.
• Disable the ritual without Tavvar or any of her assistants perishing.
• Learn the original owners’ illicit actions in the haunted mansion.
• Disperse the crowd in Statue Street without resorting to violence.
The goal was at least 3. The only one you did not succeed at was the party. Thus you earn an additional 2 Fame and 2 Reputation.
Well done!
You also found/earned all treasure bundles so, as first-level characters, will receive 14 gold pieces.
In addition, you can spend some downtime between scenarios to craft things, retrain, or earn income. At this stage, you can retrain for free and Crafting is unlikely to be useful so that leaves earning income.
You may make a roll here in Discussion using Crafting, Performance, or any Lore to make the check. You will be attempting a level-2 task, in this case, a level 0 task (the minimum). You must be trained in the skill you are using. There is a table used to determine your income depending on your level of success. A critical failure earns nothing.
You make one roll per 8 days. If you are school trained you, have eight days available after a scenario (2 after a quest). If you are field commissioned you have 50% more time available, so would make two rolls, one for the first 8 days, one for the last 4.
The DC for a level 0 task is 14.
Roll away! Good luck

Thank you so much for taking me on and running this, I'm just sorry my posting rate was nonexistent. It was really fun with y'all.

Thanks, Numbat, I had a good time, and I really feel like I got to flex my character-development muscles. I like Sara!

Please download and check your chronicle sheet then let me know as soon as possible if there are any errors.
Let me know when you are done so I can close this campaign and also change the link permissions to better protect your information.
I spelled out the full detail of your Earned Income check in the downtime box both to help you understand the process and to make it clear for any future audits. I tend to write almost as much detail on my own chronicle sheets so that everything is very clear.
One of the boons you earned will let you do an earned income check at a higher level. The DC on a level 3 task is 18 and succeeding at a task level 3 earned income check (trained) would yield 5sp/day. Failing actually earns 8cp/day, so still more than a success at task level 0 unless you critically fail. It would probably be wise to slot and use that boon for a scenario rather than a quest.
Items on the sheet are ones that you can purchase. Sometimes they will include uncommon items you would not normally have access to, occasionally there is a discounted item, and always you may purchase them at character level +2.
Any equipment listed on your character’s Chronicle sheets with an item level equal to or less than your character’s level + 2. Some items found on Chronicle sheets are available for purchase only a limited number of times. Weapon and Armor found on chronicle sheets can be upgraded following the normal rules for upgrading.
You are only granted access to the items for the sub-tier you played in. This includes if you play a higher sub-tier, you do not gain access to the items in the lower sub-tier unless they are listed in both.
It is important to track the information on your character sheets and make sure it remains accurate and up to date. Although GMs are meant to always provide a fully completed chronicle sheet, in the mad rush at the end of Face-to-Face games, it often does not happen. Make sure to complete it yourself asap, it will make your life a lot easier.
Please ask if you have any other questions about the chronicle sheets (or anything else). I want you each to be able to enjoy your PFS2 experience going forth.
Happy gaming.
