Tarren the Dungeon Master |

The driver, dazed and blinded, drives the truck off the road and down a steep 5-foot slope. One of the yahoos drops away vomiting; another is too dazed to hold on when the truck lurches down the slope. Another gets shot, while a fourth is bludgeoned.
The two yahoos who had been chasing off the refugees run behind a car where they can aim at the party. They'll be firing at you next round.
The yahoo sitting in the passenger's seat of the hijacked truck takes a shot at Zellgato.
att; damage at Zellgato: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 191d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
The yahoo that IX attacked fights back, stabbing at IX with his hunting knife.
att; damage at IX: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 161d4 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

Zellgato |

Zellgato coughs and sputters as he's hit, spitting some blood up.
I assume its our turn again as they acted-and it sounds like the vehicle is rolling into a small slope-LIke a ditch and the vehicle will stop?
Regaining his balance, Zellgato takes a shot at the passanger who shot him, then promptly hops down behind his buggy going prone for cover.
Revolver+Sedative: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 161d6 + 1 + 1d4 ⇒ (6) + 1 + (3) = 10 Piercing, Nonlethal.(Mercy fusion)
2/3 Med, 2/4 biohacks 3/5 shots, left. (standard: Revolver+ Med. Move to get out of vehicle to gain cover. Swift to drop prone behind said cover. Zellgato is aiming to not take more damage

**IX** |

The knife looks as if it going to gut IX, but then gets deflected to the side from some unseen force. Just after the vehicle jostles around and keels ditchward. IX barely holds on and his attention is quickly brought to the two yahoos hiding behind the cars. His eyes narrow on them and he hops from the truck, ignoring the knifer. After hopping down he begins a steady walk in their direction, his eyes not leaving the two yahoos. A slight breeze whips briefly over the battlefield causing IX's coats to flap slightly.
IX would look really cool in this moment as he walks toward his enemies if he wasn't so fantastically hideous.
As IX begins covering the distance he holds up his four-fingered hands. They are both clenched save the longest finger on each hand being outstretched, pointing to the sky.
Mechanically, move (provoking an aoo). standard - Antagonize
Intimidate: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12 that fails

Gristlethorn |

"IX, watch out for the knife. Who knows what it might be coated with."
Standard action. Inspiring Boost, giving IX 9 RP after the aoo.
"Everyone target that one next."
Move Action. Targeting one of the yahoos behind the car. Don't forget your +1 against him.

Tarren the Dungeon Master |

Archeron's shot hits the driver's door.
IX walks right past the blade of one of the yahoos as Ix begins to walk towards the ones who have sensibly taken up cover behind the car. That provokes an AoO att; damage at IX: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 171d4 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Zellgato takes a shot at the passenger who shot him, then promptly hops down behind his buggy going prone for cover.
Zellgato is shooting at the passenger in the truck who is behind the cover of the door, with an open window. The shot hits unless the passenger rolls under 50. cover: 1d1d100 ⇒ 16.
The door protects the passenger, the shot misses. In any case, the passenger is stuck in the truck and the truck is now stuck in the ditch. The driver having been hit with a laser and dazed by magic is in pretty bad shape.
The four yahoos that were on or around the truck begin to move toward the car at the same time, in a way that seemed coordinated, despite not a word being spoken. One of them is crawling and sick. The two behind the car attempt to lay covering fire.
The two yahoos in the truck are kind of stuck there now.

Szreem |

Szreem makes another feint with their gun, but the enemy seems wise to it, and isn't exposed to a more lethal shot. Szreem fixes their target with a glare, their face subtly shifting to become more unnerving. "You're outmatched. You should just give up now."
Bluff to Trick Attack: 1d20 + 13 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 13 + 4 = 19
Static Arc Pistol: 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 6 + 1 = 201d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Intimidate to Demoralize: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (15) + 13 = 28
Standard: Quick Trick
Move: Improved Demoralize
Oof, can't seem to roll well on the trick attack skill check.
When you say I could take a double, GM, do you mean take another turn?

Tarren the Dungeon Master |

When you say I could take a double, GM, do you mean take another turn?[/ooc]
I don't think you had a turn in the round after the truck went off the road. That's probably my fault though as I don't think I marked the rounds clearly. If you wanted to post an action for that round and for this new one, I would not object.

Tarren the Dungeon Master |

Von Junzt looks for any open cars left behind in the chaos.
[dice=Perception]1d20
The yahoos are behind one of the nearest open cars. Others have people cowering in them and keeping their heads down, so it's hard to say if any are completely empty. There is one car nearby that doesn't seem occupied.

Zellgato |

Not having any better ideas, and feeling rather pained, Zellgato pops up Focuses on the target Gristlethorn called out and fires a debilitating medication. Then promptly drops below cover
Revolver+Analgesic: 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 6 + 1 = 20 to hit. [dice=1d6+1[/dice]P damage. If hit, Analgesic applies Flat Footed for 1 round.
Move action stand. Standard fire w/ a medication, swift action prone. 1 medication left.

Archeron |

Archeron moves to the truck, stepping up onto the truck using the small step that was used to enter the truck. He then shoots the driver point blank.
Attack Roll vs. EAC: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
Damage Roll: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Critical Damage, should that be a crit: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6 If it is a crit, he also gains the burning (1d6) condition.
Archeron then looks at the passenger and says "Surrender or die."

**IX** |

IX continues strolling toward the originators of the harrying fire.
If I can reach them with 1 move action
IX swings his fist at one of the yahoos behind the car.
ES vs EAC: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
B: 1d4 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9

IX swings his fist at one of the yahoos behind the car.
[dice=ES vs EAC]1d20+7
[dice=B]1d4+7
IX could hit one of the yahoos trying to crawl towards the car. Specifically the sick one. The ones behind the car are obviously going to train their fire on IX next turn though, seeing he is striding straight towards them.

Tarren the Dungeon Master |

Archeron moves to the truck, stepping up onto the truck using the small step that was used to enter the truck. He then shoots the driver point blank.

[dice=Damage Roll]1d8+3
[dice=Critical Damage, should that be a crit]1d8+3 If it is a crit, he also gains the burning (1d6) condition.Archeron then looks at the passenger and says "Surrender or die."
Archeron's target is on fire and is going to die soon. He hasn't realized that yet and now tries to open the door to the truck and get out, pushing past Archeron. Archeron could take the attack of opportunity or just let him burn to death in a round or two.

Tarren the Dungeon Master |

Not having any better ideas, and feeling rather pained, Zellgato pops up Focuses on the target Gristlethorn called out and fires a debilitating medication.
The yahoo behind the car pops up to fire at IX when Zellgato fires another injection.
20 or lower the cover blocks the shot: 1d100 ⇒ 90
The needle hits the target, making him instantly dizzy.
Zellgato hits the target, making him flat-footed for a round. He'll be taking a penalty of -2 to his shots on IX.

Szreem |

Eh, its fine. maybe Szreem was just a few seconds behind the others getting through the rest of the convoy.
Szreem finds another target, hopefully more gullible, and executes a feinting attack to catch them off-guard. Szreem also fixes this new target with a furious glare and tries to stare them down.Bluff to Quick Trick Attack: 1d20 + 13 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 13 + 4 = 29

**IX** |

IX tilts his head to one side as the first covered yahoo shoots at him. Just after, the other yahoo fires and IX's shoulder jerks back, a blow that should have produced a hole and blood. Despite there only being a trench coat covering his body, no blood flows forth. IX narrows his eyes at the yahoo and continues his advance.
If it is his turn...
IX continues walking toward the car covered yahoos.
ES vs EAC: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15
B: 1d4 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11

Zellgato |

Having seen IX striding forward when he last popped up, Zellgato decides "Well, that one is crazy, or very strong.Let see if we can tilt the scales towards the latter." reaching into his many pockets pulling out a special syringe-with a small glass insert inside, quickly shaking to break the glass the fluids mixing. Loading the special shot, and fires at IX from arround the corner, then reloads his weapon.
Standard to use 1/day Spark of Ingenuity Biohack to combine +1AC and +10 Enhancment bonus to Movement. As it is within 60 feet it auto hits my Attuned ally. In addition no damage is done due to Injection Expert.
Move Action to reload my Revolver.
IX has +1 Enhancment bonus to AC. +10 Enhancment bonus to movement speed. These buffs last for 4 rounds.
0 biohacks left, 1 medicine. Until I take a Stamina rest.
Zellgato remains behind his buggy.

Tarren the Dungeon Master |

IX gets a boost of energy, rounds the car, and punches one of the yahoos; he's already wounded and dizzy from the analgesic dart Zellgato shot him with. This yahoo is wounded. His action on the next round will be to try to use his rifle. This will provoke an AoO from IX, so IX can expect to make two attacks.
Szreem fakes out the other yahoo hiding behind the car, blasts him with a bolt of electricity, and, then, makes it clear he'll do it again. He doesn't drop his weapon but the yahoo knows he's beat and freezes.
The yahoo who drove the truck for all of 20 seconds dies from his burns in the dirt. The yahoo on the passenger's side of the truck has nowhere left to go. With Archeron's laser pointing at him, he drops his weapon out the window of the truck and surrenders.
One of the yahoos stays down in the dust.
The only three remaining yahoos decide to run, hoping to find cover in the ditch a little further back from the firefight.
Von Junzt could make a DC 15 Piloting check to get the vehicle he found around the obstacles so he can run over the three who are running away along the side of the road. (They would each get a Reflex save to leap out of the way.)
Archeron and Szreem have prisoners to contend with.
IX is in melee with a very wounded yahoo.
One yahoo dead.
Three yahoos on the run.

Tarren the Dungeon Master |

New Round
Three targets are running.
Two are surrendering.
One is provoking an attack of opportunity from IX.
One is lying in the dirt dead.
One is lying in the dirt wishing he was.
We should resolve the AoO for IX and the Piloting check for Von Junzt first, I think. Archeron and Szreem have their hands full. Gristlethorn and Zellgato are neither in danger nor close to the one's fleeing.

**IX** |

AOO ES vs EAC: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19
B: 1d4 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
ES vs EAC: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19
B: 1d4 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
IX elbows the in the face the fool who was trying to fire their rifle. And then punches him again.

Zellgato |

Noting the newly acquired prisoners-as well as those fleeing. Zellgato uses the Buggy's hood as a rest and lines up a shot at the lead fleeing one, then returning to cover.
I have Far Shot, so minus only 1 for range penalties per increment not 2. Range 30. All damage done is nonlethal as well. 0biohacks 0medications until Stamina restore
Revolver Far Shot: 1d20 ⇒ 6 to hit (messed that up
Revolver Far Shot: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
Nonlethal damage+Sedative: 1d6 + 1 + 1d4 ⇒ (1) + 1 + (2) = 4 Nonlethal P.

Tarren the Dungeon Master |

The highjacker that IX punches falls to the ground unconscious. The ones that Von Junzt hit with his car scatter in all directions. They aren't even trying to get cover now, just trying to get into rough enough terrain that the car can't hit them again. Three have surrendered.
Carl Patrick, one of the URA workers, walks up to the yahoo who is lying in the dust, having given up the fight earlier than the rest of the yahoos. Carl fires his pistol.
Carl at yahoo who surrendered: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 61d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
The surprised highjacker rolls out of the way of Carl's shot, "No! No! NO!"

Tarren the Dungeon Master |

Carl hears Szreem shout and glares as Szreem before looking just slightly embarrassed. He kicks the one on the ground and then gets some help from the crowd in detaining this one.
There are three yahoos who, having been hit by a car, are now stumbling away instead of running away. The rest have surrendered or are dead.
April Rain comes out of the crowd, swearing at the damage to the truck and at the fact the truck is in a ditch and just swearing generally.
"G!+%%$mit! Are there any more of them? F@~~! At least on the ocean you can see the pirates coming. Anyone hurt?"

Gristlethorn |

"Not worth the effort." Gristhlthorn said after a moment of contemplation. "That would leave the rest of the convoy open and mean we miss our method of entry."
Shrug. "Maybe this sound defeat will make them mend their ways?"

Tarren the Dungeon Master |

With the yahoos disarmed, they aren't much of a threat to the rest of the refugees. The prisoners are taken off your hands and not mistreated terribly. Someone will find them there, eventually.
Amber Rain sends Carl Patrick off somewhere and looks over the six of you. "Thanks. Thanks a lot. I'm glad no one is hurt too badly. We're going to get the blockage moved and get the convoy moving again. I guess this is my f!!$-up. I think we can still make Chapel by nightfall."
