Goliath's bite connects, but it's the only attack to do so. The wound is light, but it certainly matters as the leader snarls in anger at the blow.

The wounded dinosaur steps towards Tiny and lashes out twice with its beak:

Chark shudders under the sonic attack, but then replies with potent magic. Chark's spell nearly drops Cavnakash. The xulgath master wobbles a bit, but maintains his balance at the last second.

Chark once again sustains her spell, sending its essence against the dinosaur somewhat reluctantly. Pity we can't talk to it, she thinks to herself. I take no joy in the fall of a natural creature that knows no better.

Still, the choice appears to be the dino or the Dendillion. That decision is clear to her. She calls on a bit of divine insight before sustaining her spell.
