I've gone through and updated the loot sheet. I did have a question about the personal pages vs the party loot page. Should stuff be duplicated between the two?
For example, Saiya's mithral shirt is currently listed on both her 'personal' page as well as the party loot. Is that double-counting it in terms of WBL? My thought is that it should be listed on her personal page but not the party page, but I want to be sure.
Same thing in reverse with stuff like the Wand of CLW, (which Saiya plans to carry but is definitely a 'party' item). Should it be listed both places or only one?
I also added 'Handy Haversack' as an option for the carrier, and listed the location of everything as either 'stashed' (in the sack) or personal inventory (for stuff like wands that people are actually carrying individually).

DM_Delmoth |

Thank you Saiya. Items should only appear once. If they are duplicated on the party page and a personal page they will be counted twice for WBL. Party items are fine to put on the party page. As far as location is concerned that is needed only if you want to worry about carry weight, I'm not terribly interested in tracking that. But its there if you want it.

Saiya Atarangi |

Sounds good. I've moved anything 'equipped' (mostly armor) to the respective character pages and deleted them from the party page to eliminate any duplication. Things like wands have been left on the party page but not listed on any personal character page.

Typically I'd say focus on wand charges outside of battle and potions for emergencies. Wand charges are more efficient, and infernal is more efficient still but takes even more time.

Posting in all of my games. We made it to CA... but finding a home that meets my family's needs (while being in price range) is proving a bit challenging... will be off the boards for a bit. Please bot me as necessary (and possibly send good vibes/prayers my way). Thanks for your continued patience.

@Maura, best of luck! Thoughts and prayers for you and your family!
@Allegra, some thoughts about our conversation before about the value of drawing often.
Lately, I have been letting my job get the better of me. I’ve been taking work home, and not wanting to ignore my family, I drew nothing at all in September. As a result, I was very excited to draw the Vermilion Vixen (a few days ago) ridiculously kicking a dragon in the face. The left leg was too damn big and puffy, so I fixed it this morning.
But definitely, just having a conversation about drawing helped motivate me to make the time to draw. Specifically, you posting your Allegra art was a major factor. So thanks for that, and if you have more images of Allegra or other work you want to share, I’m interested in seeing your work.

@Maura, good luck! Hope you find something soon.
The motivation always comes in fits and starts for me, but for a long time it's almost always been drawing rpg characters. New characters are always a good reason to sketch something up. With the tablet, its been an opportunity to play around with different sorts of styles. I haven't been very consistent about hosting newer stuff, but I do have an old DeviantArt gallery.

Allegra Gavrospex |

@Allegra, are you an Adepta Sororitas player?
"Player" is probably putting it a little strongly, hah. I don't play very often at all.. But yeah, I've had an army for quite a while. Also have some Blood Angels, Mechanics, and Knights, but the Sisters are my favorite. Do you play yourself?

DM_Delmoth |

Its been years but my local group has suddenly decided to spring back to life with the new edition. This has all been stifled by the covid so I haven't been able to play. My two main armies are Daemons and Sisters, I used to have a full ork army but I sold that, a decision I now regret. I also possess some IG, chaos marines, a necron army that I bought to piece out.

Allegra Gavrospex |

Nice! I got the new sisters box when it came out and I think a box of seraphim since then, but most of what I have is old metal. I still like the heft. The new plastics are beautiful though, and a lot better for kitbashing than pewter. Not that that stopped me. How are you liking the new codex/models?

I kinda do the reverse. I draw them, then RP them. With the Vermilion Vixen, I found out Stiletto Boots are officially an improvised weapon, so I designed a character who would wear those. I though she’d be like if Rorschach and Chun-Li had a daughter named Batgirl.
I came up with another superheroine known as the Subatomic Bombshell. Within days of drawing her, I found a recruitment for a superhero-themed SF game, and within the hour-long editing window, I found a class that matched my concept. This post mentions the powers and links the concept art. And admittedly, because I enjoy playing her she’s a character I like to draw as much as I like drawing the Vixen.
Definitely, I get why RP’ing a character motivates you to draw her (or him). Hell, I probably learned to draw flying kicks by drawing Chun-Li vs. Vega—which may have inspired one particular drawing I made last year, while in Hong Kong: Vix kicking a guy in a mask. (Little did I know then that, days later, I would narrowly avoid boarding a train that was attacked by triad members in white t-shirts!)

Unfortunately I was so out of the loop that I missed my opportunity to get the new box. I really like the heft of my metal models but the new plastics are just too good to not replace everything.
My heavy support slot in the past invariably went to Exorcists but with the Ebon Chalice rules and a cherub I can easily justify a retributor squad loaded with heavy flamers. I'm also going to field penitent engines for the first time. Im a little disappointed that Dominions aren't going to fit much into my lists, not being able to take a scout move in a transport was too big a hit. But I'm really stoked that Sisters are getting the attention they deserve.

Allegra slips the vial into a pouch where it disappears. Hurr hurr
Then she'll join the others near the door.
"Pardo- Oof, sorry about your toe."
We all trip over each other. Saiya swings the un-trapped door open, not realizing the rest of the party is lying on the floor in a tangled mess of limbs. The enemy realizes this, because tripping people and damaging toes ends the invisible condition.
GM is now rolling miss chance to see if invisible Saiya catches any of the crossbow bolts now being aimed at our clumsy, prone heroines…

Quick question: how tall is the ceiling? Could I aim a Glitterdust above Allegra without hitting her?

Even if you can't, go ahead and do it. She's got a decent will save, and these things look like they have greater invis or an equivalent so even if allegra stays blind to them, at least the rest of you will be able to see.

Saiya Atarangi |

Fair point. The spell is cast and the GM can decide if you need to make a saving throw or not.

DM_Delmoth |

You did damage, sorry I forgot to add a description for it. It made its save otherwise.

Work has been crazy and election stress has affected my posting too. Work should hopefully calm down after a week or two.

Just a heads up Maura just PMd me that they are finally getting settled in so she should be rejoining soon.

"Vermilion Vixen" |

My daughter is playing a piano tune called Giant Purple Butterflies. Made me think of the purple butterfly dreams that have come up in this game… which reminded me: I should elaborate on my OoC post.
Specifically, what Vix wants to know from Saiya, our only Aklo speaker as far as I know, is if the creatures in the walls are ratlings. She’s hoping calling to them in Aklo would get a response, and if not, Vix will assume they are not ratlings or other weird animal-people that she’d rather not mercilessly destroy if that can be helped.
But if anyone wants to just move forward, I’m fine with that. Just wanted to clarify why I’m not the one making that push. (I would feel like I’m being rude if I posed a question in-character, then pushed to move on in-character before the other player answers.)

Allegra Gavrospex |

Allegra would prefer to be methodical about this, but since the skittering stopped after she thumped, she's not too worried about whatever was making it.
She doesn't have any history with the ratlings, so that's not much of an incentive for her either.
I'd suggest we just clear the rooms as we come to them.

DM_Delmoth |

Sorry to say this but I'm going to take a break from GMing for a week. So much going on (just in the last couple of hours) I really don't have the bandwidth right now.

Sorry, a combination of election stress and illness kept me off the boards for a while. I should be back now.
Just in time for the GM to take a break!
(Seriously though, take all the time you need.)

@Voonith, needs more what?! What kind of Alien Life Form are you?!

DM_Delmoth |

Yes both missed. You shouldn't provoke on a trip if I understand your character correctly.

DM_Delmoth |

Oh! Miss chance!
The miss chance was for the non-damaging portion of Ci Ci's spell. Incorporeal creatures have a 50% chance of being affected by non-damaging magical effects. Vixen missed her AC fair and square, you did roll a 7.

DM_Delmoth |

I haven't heard from Maura and they haven't posted in any games for a month now. I doubt they will return. :(

DM_Delmoth |

I know its not the norm for Pathfinder and D&D so I'm going to remind everyone about this from the player's guide, emphasis mine.
Don’t Be Afraid to Be Cautious: There are a few times during the course of the Strange Aeons Adventure Path where your character might face exceptionally challenging foes. Remember that it’s occasionally smarter to retreat than to keep fighting...
I know she has you boxed in, but you're clever players and I believe in you. Also Ci Ci might be able to take her. She's done more damage to her than any other group I've run this encounter for.
