Baleson sees the large cat charging. He does not know Khonsu. He draws his greataxe and begins to move to the cat. Seeing that it is not headed for his men, he remains between it and the loggers.


The northern loggers form up again in front of the entrance to town.


Cirthana brings Ginger to a gallup headed to the eastern side of town.

Activating a minute of flight, Niu launches into the air to provide some support to the eastern group of lumberjacks.

Climbing to 10ft. Is that enough to get over the wall? I'll climb higher, if needed. (and back up a square or two for the extra movement)

Ziera knows these to be ghouls. They can paralyze you and also infect you with ghoul fever. Humanoids killed by ghoul fever become ghouls.

Rhen, nowhere could I find how long it takes to saddle a mount. I am ruling it is the same as a breastplate, scale mail, chainmail, banded mail, or splint mail which is four minutes. It takes 1 minute to don a chain shirt. Cirthana is bareback without even a chain shirt. The only drawback to bareback is a +5 if you need a ride check. Keep in mind that your pony is not combat-trained. It will take a move to grab a bridle and a move action to put that on the pony.

Okay that the large cat took out a zombie, Sheriff Baleson yells "Who knows anything about this mountain lion?" He dismounts his horse and takes a totally defensive position with his greataxe.

Flying closer to the eastern loggers, Niu observes the situation. Seeing nothing that needs his immediate attention, he offers some advice.

"Eastern Men! If more undead appear, slowly draw back toward the market, drawing them after you. I can slow them down if they get closer to the buildings."

With the advice given, he begins to circle back around to the north, keeping an eye out for anyone in dire need.

Sheriff Baleson gets between the cat and his men. He readies a strike with his greataxe (power attack) if the cat gets within his reach. He barks "Go on! Get!" He says "Men, stay put."


Cirthana tells the loggers "Quick! Come to me so that I can touch you."

Ziera runs from this bunch and heads towards the side she stops to look back and utters a blessing."May the lady bless you and keep you" She says withdrawing and then rushing towards the next group.

Niu tries to look in every direction at once, wondering where he is needed the most.

"Gah! Lady Cirthana, I am needed more to the Southwest. I'll be back as soon as possible."

He immediately start flying toward the far side of town to support the loggers without a veteran presence.

As he goes, he notices the standoff with Khonsu, and attempts to help. "Sheriff! Khonsu is Ranok's friend. He is there to help. Try to lure the zombies into the thorns, but stay back!"


Hearing Niu's words gives the sheriff some relief, but he does not yet trust this deadly animal. "Go on! Go Khonsu! Get near me or my men and I will kill you faster than you can let out a yowl. Trust is earned, not communicated."

Rhen double moves to the stable looking to see if he can see his pony from the outside. "Get me Pony ready ye long legged pony tenders." Rhen calls out.


"You look like yer in a hurry, sir. It'll take the two of us about two minutes to saddle her up. Now, we can toss a bridle on 'er an yer on yer way."

As the loggers surround her, Lady Cirthana casts Protection from Evil (Communal) as she touches them and then herself. Her glowing smile returns briefly but is replaced with stern resolve as she says "Kill these abominations in the name of Iomedae. For The Hollow!"


The lumberjacks return the battle cry in unison. "For the Hollow"

Seeing the lumberjacks engaging a couple of zombies, Ranok steps away from the two in front of him (incurring AoO if they have them) to go to the human's defense. Ranok takes a swipe at #18.

Khonsu looks to the men brandishing axes at him and at the zombies being mauled by the plant life. He then sees a group of zombies, that Ranok told him to attack, away from the men and the plants and he double moves toward them. If there is some sort of plan going on he is unaware. He's killing zombies.
