Niu giggles and grins. "Given your professed company, the less you know about that, the better, I think. But, yes, the world is safe. The sacrifice of real heroes has ensured that."
His voice drops and he bows he head sadly, "Dead heroes. Is there any other kind? Nary a marker will grace their tomb and the world may never even realize their sacrifice." A tear runs down his cheek. "Nothing causes a celebration more than the death of a hero. Those of us who follow along and watch their heroics are then left to pick up the pieces and watch as a joyous population confuse survival with actual heroism."
Draining his cup of juice, Niu slams the glass down the bar and stands up with a little wobble. Putting a hand to his temple, he shakes his head and giggles again as he looks around. "Were those my thoughts or Neb-en-toti's? It is hard to tell some times. I think he is going to miss that horse.
Now, where has Festia gotten to? I should make sure she is ok."
Unsteadily, Niu starts walking toward the door where he saw Festia leave.
