Ranok |
Perception: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (10) + 14 = 24
Looking for the direction the horde went.
"can't all be empty. Those pallid meat bags are here somewhere."
Rhen Vemsa |
Rhen moves to the Door on the west and looks for any new traps.
Traps: 1d20 + 10 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 10 + 3 = 20
if clear he will head in to 5 checking again.
Traps: 1d20 + 10 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 10 + 3 = 32
Igar The Terrible |
Pews of darkwood lie tipped over and covered in dust on either side of this ancient shrine. At the far end sits a large ceremonial anvil, but
its surface is defaced and ruined. This shrine was once dedicated to Torag, the god of the forge. This chamber has been defaced and left to rot. Of particular note is a space atop the altar containing five small depressions. These depressions once held five rubies. One remained when Rhen first came through.
Rhen Vemsa |
Rhen rubs the ring on his left hand that he claimed form here. "I can be seein' in the dark, if there be any nasties up here they will see us comin'." Rhen gives the all clear for the others to come in.
Lady Ziera Wyvernrose |
" It would make a great base for the Church of Shelyn. Or a noble house? Mayhaps more? However these undead will need to be dealt with for sure." she says keeping up yet waiting for them to do his due diligence in searching for traps.
Rhen Vemsa |
"Neh any traps so far, let me stay about 15' a head o' the rest o' ye and try to be quiet. Ye can plan yer house in yer head." Rhen says with a grin at Ziera
Traps Rm 6: 1d20 + 10 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 10 + 3 = 20
Traps rm 10: 1d20 + 10 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 10 + 3 = 30
Rhen Vemsa |
Rhen makes his way north following the trail, stopping at the door to where the trail leads and looking for traps.
Traps: 1d20 + 10 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 10 + 3 = 17
Rhen motions for the others to follow.
Igar The Terrible |
The last time Rhen saw this small study it looked like it had been lived in recently. Gnawed bones litter the floor and tufts of gray fur can be seen here and there. That remains. GreyPelt's consorts were dealt with in a permanent manner. An old stone desk still sits in the center of the chamber, scratched and cracked in many places. The stench of wet fur no longer hangs heavy in the air.
Rhen, perception check. You feel like you are being watched.
Everyone else place your tokens where you want them to be.
Lady Ziera Wyvernrose |
Ziera taps her chin as she looks to Niu."Do you think Torag would get mad If I repurposed his former monastery for a Temple to Shelyn?I mean it's far away from a huge city but the natural surroundings could produce some of the most beautiful art pieces inspired by the natural beauty of this place. Minus the undead!"
She says all this while waiting on Rhen. Ziera Left Festia outside with the horses, telling her to secure the area in hopes to be ready to defend and retreat when necessary.
Niu |
Niu shrugs. "Who can say with gods? Dwarves, though... If any of them come back and find that some flighty Elven god has moved into their forge...
Can't imagine they'd be happy. You might be able to make accommodation for them, though."
Ranok |
could someone fix Khonsu for me? I would want him and Ranok behind Rhen please
"Khonsu, do you sense any danger?"
This is one of the questions Khonsu can answer through linguistics. If he answers yes, I will run through the questions if what is it, starting with undead.
Igar The Terrible |
Detect (DC 25): The animal is trained to seek out the smells of air currents, alchemical items and poisons, unusual noises or echoes, and other common elements that signify the presence of potential dangers or secret passages. When commanded, the animal uses its Perception skill to try to pinpoint the source of anything that strikes it as out of the ordinary about a room or location. Note that because the animal is not intelligent, any number of doors, scents, strange mechanisms, or unfamiliar objects might catch the animal’s attention, and it cannot attempt the same Perception check more than once in this way. Source: PZO1140
Scent (Ex)
This special quality allows a creature to detect approaching enemies, sniff out hidden foes, and track by sense of smell. Creatures with the scent ability can identify familiar odors just as humans do familiar sights.
The creature can detect opponents within 30 feet by sense of smell. If the opponent is upwind, the range increases to 60 feet; if downwind, it drops to 15 feet. Strong scents, such as smoke or rotting garbage, can be detected at twice the ranges noted above. Overpowering scents, such as skunk musk or troglodyte stench, can be detected at triple normal range.
Ranok, give me a handle animal roll. No roll is necessary for Khonsu. Thirty feet covers several rooms. You will need to move with him to the door to be specific about this room.
Rhen Vemsa |
"Yer cat is quiet but all ye talkin' loudly back there be givin' us away." Rhen says in hushed tones as he steps into the room drawing his short sword.

"What do you smell boy?"
Ranok |
Weapon in hand, of time allows, Ranok will ask if Khonsu smells a humanoid, animal, or aberration.
Niu |
Niu giggles as the questioning continues.
"Good job, Khonsu, you'll have him trained in no time."
He glances at Rhen, crouching down and looking every which way and giggles again. "Have you found that chipmunk yet, Rhen?"
Lady Ziera Wyvernrose |
Zeira gasps."Ooops" As she then says out loud."Sorry Rhen" She then winces and whispers."I mean sorry Rhen"
Ranok |
"What kind of animal would live in a place tainted by undead like this?" Looking at Khonsu, he continues, "No natural animal I know. Maybe it's that weird handed wolf...watching us...Shall we continue Rhen? Which way should we go?"
Lady Ziera Wyvernrose |
"Bugs, bugs like eating dead things...Ew, I am not a fan of bugs" She says with a sour face, not really caring for most bugs.
Ranok |
"Not sure that Khonsu would think a bug is an animal. They're different."
After a brief pause, Ranok shudders. "I don't like bugs either though. I should teach him that one. Rhen, do you know the way through here, or do you want me to take point?"
Rhen Vemsa |
Rhen ignores all the talking behind him, moving a head into the next door way to the west. Looking around for traps and anything wanting to eat them.

Khonsu "The Cat" |
As it looks now, only purple and the one without a border can be seen. Khonsu hears Rhen call out, but is unsure what to do, as he may not clearly see the threat. He looks to Ranok for instructions.
Hold action for instructions from Ranok.
Ranok |
"Khonsu! kill that creature!" Ranok commands as he moves beside Zeira to attempt to do the same.
handle animal: 1d20 + 11 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 11 + 4 = 26 if needed for one of these.

"Ziera, let these things get out in the open so that we all have a fair shot at it! Ha ha!"
Khonsu "The Cat" |
Khonsu slides in beside Ziera to try and snip at the strange animal on the other side of the door.
bite: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 81d6 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Not sure I want to bite it. Looks like it won't taste good.
