OK, I can't read the map very well, so if I was next to the tiger, apply the healing there.


Nox fires at the guard, taking the man in the shoulder. His grin disappears, replaced with a snarl of pain. He grits his teeth and looks ready to charge at the tiefling.

Grey assaults the guard, and slaps him with a tentacle so hard that his head spins about far enough to snap his spine. The man crumbles to the ground, quite dead. Grey then attacks the troll, but misses.

After the good doctor tends to Ithariel, the huge troll roars in anger, and brings down its axe at Grey.

Lief nods at the call to attack the troll and pushes into the tower. He finds that he cannot reach the beast with an attack before it's ready to strike again, but that there is a guard on the way that needs to be dealt with. So, he stops next to enemy human and brings his sword whistling around at the man.

I can't charge (and would prefer to avoid an AoO from the troll), so I single moved and I'm attacking the guard next to Ithariel. Hopefully next round I'll be able to 5' step to attack the troll.

I wasn’t going to try to change my action at all, since I couldn’t attack anyone else from there, but since we haven’t moved on yet (and I just remembered I have these)… I’ll throw an alchemist’s fire at the troll instead of swinging my sword.

Stel lashes out, taking down the guard with a potent strike! He falls, his blood spraying out all over the no longer white snow.

The guard who had taken down and killed Tchezze looks on in anger, then fear. He drops his sword and puts his hands on his head in submission. The two guards on the towers look down. What're you doing....come on, get 'em! They fire down at Stel.

Remember that Ques tapped Ithariel with an infernal healing. I thought he and Stel were pretty beat up but his tag line says they are at full HP. Though you did post a different HP total when you posted as Stel. But the HP in Stels tag line does not match what you posted.

Lief rushes in towards the towering troll. Bordegga, blinded, can't seem to react to his rush, as Lief comes in with a mighty strike across the great beast's chest. Bordegga lets out a shriek of pain and falls, sending a white cloud of ice and snow up in the courtyard.

The guards atop the walls exclaim, levering their crossbows up to target Leif. They loose shots again, this time across the courtyard.

The two guards atop the towers look down into the courtyard, their hands visibly shaking as they hold their crossbows. They seem to make a decision then, each looking at the other. Then, they both drop their crossbows and raise up their hands.

Turning back to the guards, he questions them, Gentlemen, we are seeking a magical source within this fort, any ideas where we might find such a thing? Also, you can divest yourselves of your valuables at this point. he adds, figuring it would be a good idea.

The scarred and tattooed scraggly half-orc lowers his equally hideous wooden mask, and then speaks in a deep but pleasant voice which seems so out of place.

"Of course, of course, ha ha ha! I am Doctor Everard Gareau. I know, my appearance may be a bit strange for many, particularly here in these cold, strange lands. My friend here is named Lief Stoutspear. We came via some sort of magical portal. The locals seemed to want to hunt us down... in fact, we were a much larger group, but we have become separated. I came here seeking answers, and I guess just lucky timing that we came upon you when we did."

The name is pronounced gar-O (French pronunciation). Not sure how old everyone here is, but if you know Geoffrey Holder who used to do Seven-up commercials many years ago, that is sort of how I picture the voice.

shrunk by the dog? everything about this place in confusing, whether its enemies or allies...

"Yeah, Lief is my name," the hulking, horned man answers, still holding up his sword like he's unsure if any of the people remaining around him are going to try to kill him. "A man on a horse asked us to go through a magic portal and help, so we did, and nothing has made sense since then. We still want to help, though, if any of you know how we can do that?"

The guards put their hands put wide, and loosen their holds on their weapons. The crossbows clatter to the ground, at least one of them most definitely busted. They come close to the battlement to look down at the mini Ithariel. Magics? Whole place is magic, far as I can tell. How it works.... He shrugs. You'd have to ask the boss.

After another minute, Ithariel enlarges back to his normal size. An instant later, a dog appears next to Lief. It says, in a gruff human voice. Woof.

I said Woof. He steps closer, to sniff at Lief. We're here to help the girl...you gonna' get in the way of that?

The druid laughs, He's with us, and he's a Fey. A good one. If you've traveled through the same portal as we did, then we're of one purpose. This whole place is odd though. He turns back to the captured guards, If you don't start getting more knowledgeable, we're going to start getting curious in a more physical way. Who's the boss? How many more guards are there? Is there a number two person? We're curious folks. and leave the implicit threat hanging in the air.

That's actually just the bottom of the label of Doc Gareau's token, Ques. Heal is pretty useless in first edition, but feel free to RP bandaging him up.

Ques walks into the interior chamber of the ice wall, but it seems empty, just used for quick travel along the wall in wartime.

The guard looks at Ques. The boss just kinda' appears...dunno how he does it.
