As far as the treasure goes giving those that need it upgrades helps the party as a whole. I wouldn't discount the rogue for getting the masterwork thieve's tools as that is his job in the party. I think we just distribute what is useful to those that can use it and then distribute the remaining wealth evenly among the group. (If those that are getting upgrades want to donate their replaced item, if any, to the party fund, that would make up for it).

As far as the potion, It doesn't matter. Lavanor can take it, and I'll take the next one. I'll be sure to purchase one before we head into the tunnel beneath the glassworks.

@Runt - Camil traded his old bow for the new one we found so i would suggest claiming that so you have a ranged weapon.

this fight would give her good reason to seek out a bow. Most of the goblins in fact were armed with short bows.

Yes, indeed. Though I don't think an inquisitor has proficiency with a box. She will be taking some major penalties using one. But better than nothing.

They can use all normal bows (not composite) including hand xbow and repeating xbow so you're good.

I just got two natural 1s in a row in another game, got turned to stone, then died when turned back to flesh (by a method that shouldn't work, but the DM fudged it). Spent the entire first book of another AP getting an average roll of 7 on the d20. I'm just sick of constantly failing in clutch situations and being useless because my luck is so bad.

Yeah, someone somewhere is critting left and right. I don't remember which character it was on but I had a streak of only 1 roll in 10 being over 10 and I think half were under 5. Too bad we can't put those dice in the bottom of our bag and use different ones like irl. lol.

Glad to see you're still with us Isabella. Sometimes the story doesn't go like we'd like it to. We just contribute anyway we can even if it's not as flashy as we imagined it would be. Right now even a +1 to hit from guidance would be helpful against this elusive little f'er.

At least this room has doors so we can close this thing in with us. This combat is ridiculous. It doesn’t help that with its AC we need a 15-18 to hit it. Were we supposed to even kill it or is it supposed to get away?

@Isabella: So are you still with us or has frustration driven you to hang up your cloak for now?

My last group managed to subdue her. They had a dedicated archer which helped and a swashbuckler who carried some darts (thrown piercing weapon within 30' still gets the swashbuckler bonus dmg). Lavanor is back now and with some cleric buffs you may be able to finish her off.

I had a character have a bad run of die rolls and decided to make it a character pivotal moment where he changed out all his feats from defensive to offensive figuring it was because his war-god deity disapproved. Just roll with it and use it to role play! Have your character get peeved, or suffer self doubt, or start getting extremely cautious and looking over her shoulder.

Once the others have returned, Runt plans to cast bless. That should help. On the bright side this thing sucks as bad as we do.

Probably not necessary not that Z's got the thing grappled and it's lost some of it's dex bonus. If it escapes she will cast bless then.

And remember that clerics are one of the best buffers in the game. Protection from Evil rocks at this level. Channeling saves parties from TPKs. Bless it a great stand by. If it affects 5 attackers that is really a +5. Murderous command is one of my favorite attack spells. Focus on that aspect of being a cleric if you really think you are going to miss everything. Let others make the die rolls. I love taking credit for other people hits and enemy misses.

excellent. How is your wife? Just to let you know, my wife pointed out an article yesterday about melatonin. Apparently, a doctor has treated all of his patients (10-20) with melatonin.He says it does not get rid of the virus but it greatly reduces the symptoms. He was using 80mg a day.

I may have another player coming in shortly. Give the team a little boost.

I mentioned the need but he has not played in a while and thought it best to go with an option that did not have to pour over spell descriptions and such. Slayer is more of a niche, rogue/fighter. I originally was looking for a backup rogue type since it looked as if Trunt may be on pause for a while.

It is a hole we have, and that means we have noone to take advantage of the mage gear we find. All those nice wands and scrolls and what not going to go to waste!

On second thought I probably won't go this way. I thought about using a bloodline with natural weapons so I'll never be without, but it won't work. Claws are not piercing weapons like I thought and the precise strike swashbuckler deed specifically disallows natural weapons.
