I imagine that Trunt and Templeton would have known each other but their spheres of interest were completely different. Maybe they knew each other at a very young age but grew apart as Trunt is pretty stereotypically eager for new experiences and whimsical.

Trunt is definitely out of character in his seriousness and concern right now because of the complete disappearance of his adoptive family group. By the way, he harbors no ill feelings toward his blood family, he’s just out for an adventure and became deeply attached to this group he met and stuck with them for a few years.

Sounds good to me. Runt was fleeing a temple of Lamashtu and headed as far away as her little legs could carry her. Joining up with a bunch of travellers, particularly if they have food and provide safety, would suit her just fine.

Isabella is generally a kind soul and would be happy to help people in need. She is a fairly recent transplant to Sandpoint, her little farm village having been destroyed by goblins a few years earlier.

The background provided works for Rowan. He would likely be the one to suggest traveling as a group. I imagine he and Lavanor would get along as fellow woodsmen. I notice Runt and Templeton worship Lamashtu and Ghlaunder, which are both evil deities. Are they open or secretive about their religions? It would affect Rowan's initial impression of them.

Female C/N Human Inquisitor (Monster Tactician)/9 | HP: 87/87| AC Norm/Tch/FF 28/14/28 28/14/27 | CMD: 23 23 | F/R/W: +13/9/15 +11/6/13 +?[SiOff] | Init: +6 | Speed 30 (mount)/20 ft | Diplomacy +6, Heal +16, Intimidate +16, Kn Eng/Hist/Loc/Nob +2, Kn Arc/Dung/Nat/Pla/Rel +5, Perception +17, Sense Motive +21, SCraft +10 | Active Conditions: light on shield (if dark), false life (0/7 HP), heroism, clay skin (DR 5/adam 30/45), height aware, weapon of awe, inspire +2, divine favor+4, haste

Runt is fairly clueless about the world, having lead a 'sheltered' and abused life in a temple until she fled. She has been travelling the wilderness, stealing or scavenging food, and was too afraid to make contact with civilization until the others came along. She does not know enough to keep her deity secret, but she is not the proselytizing sort. To her, Lamashtu is all about survival of the fittest and monster mashes and is someone who has a use for aberrations like herself. At least her god makes her feel wanted and useful and gives her the power to fight back.

Zandril has been around Sandpoint for some time now so he's probably run into Misury and Isabella a couple times. It's possible he's also interrupted Misury's bullies once or twice.

Possible. I do not have that thought out though. If she did switch allegiances, she would lose all of the power she got from Lamashtu and be vulnerable (at least in her own mind) and that would be a bit much for her. But who knows!?

While on the road to Sandpoint, in the early morning while packing up camp Wrath speaks up, "So, Valtyra, have you ever been to Sandpoint?
You think it could be bigger than Magnimar?!"

I don't think you understand Runt. I got the inspiration for Runt in a game where the Priest took care of lepers and the like and was in no way involved in all the nastiness the cult is so famous for. Runt is similar. She is not interested in putting her deity in charge of the world. She USES Lamashtu and Lamashtu USES her. People worship gods for many reasons, picking and choosing which aspects of the deity they are interested in. Even priests. She is most interested in the 'mother and patroness of many misshapen and malformed creatures' aspect, but also her deities delight in chaotic conflict. She grew up in an environment rife with goblins and creatures that beat on each other and killed one another. To her, inner temple conflict is a matter of course. If a less powerful or lower placed member bumps off a higher placed member, then that just means that a rightful change of power has just taken place. Runt HATES most Lamashtu leaders, having been their football for many years, and holds them in great distrust. She would love nothing more than to see a high priest taken down a peg or bumped off, particularly if she feels threatened by her. And she could give a crap whether other supplicants might disagree. And if it came down to between losing her power and taking out a hated leader, that would be a tough choice. Particularly if the PCs treat her kindly.

Templeton is not overt in his worship of Ghlaunder. He knows that there are many who fear the domains of Ghlaunder and thus keeps it quiet.

(Sorry for the delay in post, I got sidetracked while typing a post yesterday)

Similar to the question that someone had about a donkey for "things done before the start", could Templeton have used his Call Animal spell to call a Constrictor (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/bestiary/monster-listings/animals/snake/snake-cons trictor) and then through Charm Animal and Animal Empathy checks, befriended said snake as a traveling companion. If not before the start, this is a plan for during early on actions. If he has the snake as a traveling companion already, it will slightly change his spells memorized.

Note that through his trait, he is CL+1 with Call Animal.

@ironperenti Is there a particular format or information that you want to ensure we have listed in our messageboard "profile". I see a few different formats across our party, and want to see what is most comfortable for you.

DM / GM / The man behind the curtain

I'm not particular about the messageboard info format as long as it has HP/AC/CMD/SAVES/INIT/PER

I think CLASS/LEVELS tends to pop up on the bottom. I did this for one of my sorcerers and put it in my CLASS/LEVELS section with most of the other info in RACE. it would be nice if all spell casters did something similar so I can keep track of how many spells you have expended.

My kids love the Charlotte’s web movie, it’s on Amazon Prime so I assumed it was him too.

Also, I’ve gotten Roll20 access to the campaign (Screen name Ithe if it matters) but I have no experience with the site and I’m not sure how to navigate. Are there maps up yet or are those yet to come?

Also, do we all need to have gotten together before the action starts?

DM / GM / The man behind the curtain

No need to get together.

Screen name in roll20 doesn't matter. I just want to make sure you have access so you can reference the maps. All maps load in the NW corner of the map. Our first real event will take place near the church which is near the middle of the map. Once you load the map you can zoom out and look for all of the people or you can scroll south east until you see the large group of people. Player tokens have a green ring, bystanders have a light tan.

Ok, I need some verification in Roll20. To access maps, do we have to click “Launch Game” and access it through there? I saw the Journal entries but I don’t think that’s what I’m looking for. I’ve tried Launch Game and it doesn’t look like it’s mobile friendly to me so it that’s what I have to do, I may not be able to alter my token on the weekends/holidays. I have computer access at work but I don’t actually have a home computer.

You do have to click "Launch Game", this pulls up the map. I've never tried it on mobile, but it takes a minute to load whenever I get on there.

DM / GM / The man behind the curtain

It works on ipad, I've managed to launch it on an iphone but it is difficult to see much. If you launch game and all you see is the log entries, along the left edge of the log entries you should see three parallel horizontal lines, if you click those it should close down the log and show the map. Obviously the amount of map you can see will be extremely limited. It is there for reference only. If you cannot see it, describe what it is you are doing and I will move the token accordingly.

DM / GM / The man behind the curtain

My apologies for not mentioning the start over here. Like Wrath said, I thought it would show on the Gameplay tab that there were posts. I guess it did not do that because the players had not been on that tab yet.

DM / GM / The man behind the curtain

Yes, not mobile friendly. It is merely a reference.

If your actions are not contingent on another player, I'd say post. I usually throw in an if, sometimes 2 or mention that contingency. Such as, "After Glimwick throws his fireball, I shall rush in and bash something." Do your rolls.

You could wait for others to go in initiative order but usually that just slows things down.

DM / GM / The man behind the curtain

Also, with the maps, I have a live ROTRL game every Friday from 9-12 est for about another month. If you check the map at that time you will not see your map.

DM / GM / The man behind the curtain

To avoid grid snap hold the alt key when placing tokens. Again, not mobile friendly but you can just state where you are moving to.
