Fleeing directly away from the blue hound which takes her to the edge of the map.
Mivvy Hetherington |
Prakriti, Fen and Keene all have better knowledge skills than Mivvy. It's a free action. Can somebody find out what kind of DR these things have?
Mivvy Hetherington |
Mivvy goes after the orange-furred beast.

@Prakriti: Aiding on Knowledges Planes would be considered a standard action, as it is an aid action. As you are fleeing in terror, you would not have one of those available.
What you know about Yeth Hounds...
When a yeth hound howls or barks, all creatures except other evil outsiders within a 300-foot spread must succeed on a DC 12 Will save or become panicked for 2d4 rounds. This is a sonic mindaffecting fear effect. Whether or not the save is successful, an affected creature is immune to the same hound’s bay for 24 hours. The save DC is Charisma-based.
A yeth hound can cease or resume its flight as a free action.
A yeth hound’s
bite is treated as evil-aligned for the purpose of overcoming damage reduction. In addition, a good-aligned creature bitten by a yeth hound must make a DC 14 Will save or be shaken for 1 round. If the victim is already suffering from a fear effect (such as the hound’s bay attack), the victim is instead completely overcome with fear and can do nothing but cower for 1 round. This is a mind-affecting fear effect. The save DC is Constitution-based.
DR5/Silver.
The hounds are quickly dropping, as orange succumbs to Mivvy and Urzaia's assault!
Kasumi the Vexatious |
Kasumi considers the possibilities for a moment; figuring that it's better than letting her flee into the woods (and possibly run into other problems), she waves her hands and points at Prakriti.
"Stay!"
Prakriti, I'm gonna need a DC16 Reflex save or you're stuck to the space. Glue Seal, yo!
Those who fail become entangled, but can break free by succeeding at a combat maneuver check or an Escape Artist check as a standard action against the DC of this spell. The area of the spell is considered difficult terrain. A creature moving through the glue must succeed at a combat maneuver check or an Escape Artist check as part of its move action (DC = the spell’s DC).

Prakriti continues to flee for her life.
Kasumi the Vexatious |
”Were you a gymnast in a past life?!” groans Kasumi. ”Try to remember a past life where you were a sloth!”
In the meantime, Kasumi waggles her fingers and a hallway appears around Prakriti. The hallway runs in an eventual circle, and features the sound of barking yeth hounds in the distance behind her.
That should keep her running in circles and not keep adding to the distance.
Minor Image. DC17 if Prakriti interacts with the illusion... but I’ve tried to create a scenario in which she has no reason to. c:

Can I assume that Prakriti is shouting out what she knows, even as she runs. Like "Run you fools! You can't even hit them without silver weapons! Etc..."
Mivvy drops her adamantine blade and opts for the silver blade this time. Very dashing.
As she draws the blade she moves toward the hound that so violently bit Fen, "Damn you! Only Kasumi gets to use Fen as a chew toy."

I like the creative answer Kasumi. I will go with it.
@Mivvy Sure, yelling is a free action.
Some kinks here that are being expressed between the party.
Prakriti Neela Yaadu |
Can I assume that Prakriti is shouting out what she knows, even as she runs. Like "Run you fools! You can't even hit them without silver weapons! Etc..."
Sure, but due to her Oracle's curse, Prakriti can only speak Celestial or Infernal during combat. If anyone can understand either of those, then consider yourself informed about the silver weapons.
Father Urzaia Conflict |
Sorry, wrong half-orc.
Mivvy Hetherington |
Aah, not really Mivvy’s skill set. Mivvy’s weapon’s were still not landing true so she would have changed. I’ll roll the 50/50.
1 is silver; 2 is cold iron: 1d2 ⇒ 2
Worg, take one from Mivvy’s last attack and it is cold iron.
Fen Vion |
Sorry Friday was busy and away all day yesterday
The Dog launches itself at Fen staggering him in one blow. I did level, I have no con bonus :(
Fen squeeze his fist harder around the handle of his whip as a nimbus of light surrounds him and some of his wounds start to heal Judgement Fast Healing 2

Alright, so calling this fight in order to get back on track and push us forward a bit. Sort of at my bandwidth with all the GenCon prep.
One decapitated Yeth Hound head stuffed inside a bag of holding later, the party continues their march towards the manor.

East or West? Someone went each way.
Mivvy Hetherington |
"Someone? Went in some direction? I feel so prepared..." Mivvy sticks her tongue out at Urzaia.
Then she gathers up her blades from the forest floor.
Is Fen a mess of bite marks still? I've never played an inquisitor.
Father Urzaia Conflict |
Someones. Two sets of prints, each one barefoot.

"They're not Prakriti's, are they?" asks Kasumi as the circular hallway she trapped her in leads the oracle back to them. "Speaking of which-- you doing okay, dear?"
"ඔව් මම හොඳින්. ටිකක් කරකැවිල්ල නමුත් මම හොඳින් ඉන්නම්" Prakriti calls back as she continues to run around in circles like a pet mouse.
GM Worg |
The party begins to follow the footprints to the west, and stumble upon a campsite. Vagrant hunters occupy this small camp. They appear very similar to one another, with thick, webbed fingers, wide mouths, and horns that protrude from their foreheads. They stand near a simple fire surrounded by a ring of stones. A charred humanoid form roasts on a spit above the fire.

Kasumi groans. "Really? Spit-roasting? You're gonna get nothing but tough, dry meat that way. You want to pan-sear both sides, then finish him up in the oven."
She jogs up, as if to inspect the charred human, then snaps her attention to the Calibans. "This human's so overcooked, a goblin would spit it out!"
With that, she blasts a rainbow at 'em.

Tragic. Adjective.
Definition: causing or characterized by extreme distress or sorrow.
Context Sentence: It sure was tragic for the Calibrans when they all failed their will saves and are blinded AND stunned for 3 rounds.
Kasumi the Vexatious |
Don't forget the additional round in which they are only stunned!
Kasumi feels some concern that she's burning through her spells from all the back-to-back fighting, but at least she's getting good results.
