Missed Urzaia's post.
Urzaia slashes right into the Purple Caliban, dealing a lot of damage! It is still barely standing.
Kasumi the Vexatious |
Kasumi draws her sword and moves around behind the purple-haired caliban.
double move
I know I'm amazing, Mivvy darling, but two turns in one round? You flatter me!

Kasumi the Vexatious |
Kasumi considers her position for a moment, then shrugs, hustling past the bulk of her party and working her way around the corner. With any luck, she can do a little trickery from the back.
In the meantime, she'll appreciate the cover.
Father Urzaia Conflict |
Urzaia utters a prayer to Gorum that he might fell this foe with a single blow before it can harm his companion further. Fervor to cast Divine Favor, attack yellow.
Attack, Clarity, Divine Favor, Power Attack: 1d20 + 10 + 3 - 2 ⇒ (6) + 10 + 3 - 2 = 17
Damage, Holy, Divine Favor, Power Attack, Vital Strike: 1d6 + 8 + 2d6 + 3 + 6 + 1d6 ⇒ (6) + 8 + (3, 2) + 3 + 6 + (3) = 31
Prakriti Neela Yaadu |
Just confirming that Prakriti's last readied attack was applied to yellow before it attacked?
Rocked a little by the caliban's attack, Prakriti continues to press forward, swinging her weapon at the nearest foe.
Attack yellow if still alive, otherwise step in and strike at purple.
Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17 Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
GM Worg |
The yellow Caliban drops like a brick when Urzaia swings his weapon right into it's face.
The purple Caliban takes Prakriti's attack and falls also, as the yellow one was defeated before she could retaliate against it.
So you have 3 more rounds to beat up a bunch of stunned and blinded monsters. Have fun.
All Pathfinders are up.
Fen Vion |
Sorry
Fen draws out his Rapier, moving slowly and methodically over to the helpless creatures. "We need to end this quickly so as to not allow them time for reprisal."
can I CDG green?
CDG: 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (1, 1) + 2 = 4
Father Urzaia Conflict |
Urzaia moves the nearest daemon and hacks away at it.
Attack, Clarity, Divine Favor, Power Attack: 1d20 + 10 + 3 - 2 ⇒ (7) + 10 + 3 - 2 = 18
Damage, Holy, Divine Favor, Power Attack, Vital Strike: 1d6 + 8 + 2d6 + 3 + 6 + 1d6 ⇒ (3) + 8 + (6, 3) + 3 + 6 + (6) = 35
Kasumi the Vexatious |
What is it?
At this point? Underseasoned jerky.
Kasumi leans out from the wall and blinks as she looks down at two dead or dying baddies. "Well! If the rest of you don't mind using your big stabby implements to finish up?" she asks, finding a seat.
Father Urzaia Conflict |
Urzaia looks at his blade,
Sorry, this is a choppy instrument. You'll have to give us a hand.
Father Urzaia Conflict |
You have teeth, don't you?
Father Urzaia Conflict |
Having bad taste isn't the same as treating bad.
Father Urzaia Conflict |
A daemon on the battlefield? Seems fair to me. Or we can throw a bag over one of them for you.
Kasumi the Vexatious |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |
"If you've got time to sack 'em, you've got time to hack 'em. Chop chop!" she giggles, clapping her hands twice.
Thinking on it, she tugs on her sleeves and is suddenly dressed like a spoiled princess... although with her stout build, the effect isn't perfect.
She tugs on the sleeves once more and adds a corset, giving a rather sudden wheeze as the appearance of the garment forces the air from her lungs.
Mivvy Hetherington |
Three rounds in a row, just to get it done. I've added flanking to the second two because by then we will all be able to set up flanks with ease.
attack with PS: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (10) + 10 = 20
damage: 1d6 + 14 ⇒ (1) + 14 = 15
attack with PS and flanking: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (6) + 12 = 18
damage: 1d6 + 14 ⇒ (4) + 14 = 18
attack with PS and flanking: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (17) + 12 = 29
damage: 1d6 + 14 ⇒ (5) + 14 = 19
Father Urzaia Conflict |
Urzaia points at the two he felled. Chop. Chop. Just like you asked. Your turn. Hurry, hurry, we have more of these to get rid of.
Prakriti Neela Yaadu |
Whack! Whack! Whack!
Prakriti joins in the assault on the unfortunate calibans.
Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13 Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16 Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25 Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Kasumi the Vexatious |
Kasumi gives a long, low sigh as she gets up from her stump.
"Fiiiiine. But I'm borrowing Clarity," she says, snatching the blade from Urzaia.
"Hey Clair; how you doin'?" she asks as she grips the handle, before taking a few swings.
Kasumi's Ultimate Clarity Technique: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16
Clarity Damage: 3d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 2) = 5
Kasumi's Ultimate Clarity Technique: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20
Clarity Damage: 3d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 2) = 11
I figure she only has the time for two swings before they wake up. If they wake up.
GM Worg |
[i]You all are an amusing bunch of adventurers, you know? It feels good to have some quality time out on the field again.
One slaughter later, the party finds that all of the Caliban are all down and dead. The corpse on the fire is similar to a body that experienced cannibalistic damage, with bite marks and torn limbs.
Quest Complete! Purging the Cannibals
The trail continues once again to the north towards the manor, if the party decides to follow it.
Skipping the other cannibal camps because you have made it abundantly clear that 6 of these losers are no match to a single Kasumi Krew.
Kasumi the Vexatious |
"We try! Well, I succeed. The others try," giggles Kasumi to Clarity. "I probably have to give you back to Urzaia now, though. I'm lucky I put the right side of you into those guys, and he's got an bicep like a grassy hill ripplin' in the wind."
She surrenders the blade to the Gorumite.
"Well, time to go the other direction, eh?"
Father Urzaia Conflict |
Right after we bang the head off one of these cannibal corpses.
Kasumi the Vexatious |
Kasumi crosses her arms, tapping her chin a bit.
"Now, see-- I feel like calling them cannibals is... I mean, they're not humans, right? Like, where-- where do we draw the line? Like, it's definitely gross and morbid but is it, like, 'cannibalism' exactly? Like, being eaten by a pack of wolves-- that's not cannibalism, but if a human gets eaten by a monkey, is that cannibalism? Just trying to find, like, where's the... how close do you have to be for it to count?"
GM Worg |
You continue your march towards the edge of the forest when you finally see it. The Tristeza Manor; the house without hope. From here, you could camp for a day before venturing into the actual gate that leads inside the manor. Would you like to rest before facing the final conflict?
Rondolpho Keene |
”I do think resting before taking on whatever is in that manor would be prudent. We’ve used some of our resources today, and preparing for our task is probably the smart plan,” Keene says, looking for a good spot to camp.
Father Urzaia Conflict |
Kasumi, you can argue.that definition with the townsfolk. If anyone needs healing or restoration before we rest let me know.
Prakriti Neela Yaadu |
Prakriti is happy to rest but also offers her healing to anyone might need it.
CLW on self: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
She has 4 slots worth of CSW, 6 slots of CMW and a few more CLW. I think we can safely say everyone is fully healed before we rest.
Fen Vion |
"I agree they are not cannibals, since they are not humans eating humans. That is something Elves would never do." Fen says with certainty "Let us go scout the manor and see what is there before we decide how we wish to proceed."
Kasumi the Vexatious |
Kasumi yawns. ”I’d hate to try scouting and end up getting roped into a combat situation. Let’s settle in for the night. Who’s cooking?” she asks, pulling some bread from her pack to share.
Father Urzaia Conflict |
It's a beautiful night for a little fight, but I can keep an eye out while you tuck tail. That house looks like we'll need to be at our best.
Fen Vion |
"We can camp, I will take first watch since there is still some light and my eyes allow me to see well at twilight and dusk." Fen says leaning against a tree with his whip in his hands, Fen pulls some rice cakes from his pack.
GM Worg |
You all camp out for the night. The chill air and haunting environment requires an active watch, especially for these woods. When morning clears the sky of darkness, the house doesn't look any less foreboding. With courage high and fears pushed away, you all approach the Tristeza manor.
One detail of interest as you approach is that behind the Manor is a graveyard.
Where do you go first?
Father Urzaia Conflict |
To the graveyard? Work our way inward.
Mivvy Hetherington |
”Ah, the gothic romance of a graveyard. Only spoilt by the crushing reality of giant vermin and grotesque undead.” Mivvy shudders and draws her rapier, ”Still, best not to leave anything foul at our backs.”
Fen Vion |
Fen coils his whip holding it in his hand at the ready. "Do you humans fear your dead that much?" Fen asks not really sure why "Elven dead well those who grow old enough travel to a different world, so I guess I don't really have any experience with my own kind dying."
Father Urzaia Conflict |
The dead are not the problem. The UNdead, however, can be a touch more difficult.
