"That would depend on your view, I suppose," the scarred man replied to Jennifer. "Someone brave could prepare for the attack, take the precautions to ensure success. Someone less so would simply know fear and terror there last few days. Which you are is not for me to say"
Still Jessica ;)

OK, work has been a little whacky with my schedule, but I'm gonna do the epilogue and start the next game tomorrow.
Everyone gets two XP for the partially complete story.
There are two ways the next story can go - horror mystery or smash and grab. Anyone got a particular preference?

OK, so there's a little detail that may not be to everyone's taste. It's a mild spoiler for the start of the game, but now is gonna be the time to rejig it. So if you want the chance to protest, click the spoiler. If you trust me (you poor, poor fools) then we'll roll with it.
To be clear, this is a gameplay facet, with some story implications. It is not anything in bad taste, just a storyline mechanic that might be annoying if you're not into it.
Time loop. The monster here is very likely to kill you. The disaster is very likely to kill you. The weather is very likely to kill you. And each time one of you dies, the story resets to your check in.

For now, Kavax's ally team consists of <Menacing Growl>, <Incomprehensible Hissing>, and Del-Gan. The Dragonfang Greatsword is annoyed about not yet having found anybody sufficiently violent to wield it. I'll mostly be leaving voicing them to the GM unless otherwise instructed.

If anyone's wondering what I've been doing when I'm not posting, it would be This - a game of my own creation. I'm planning to actually run a game in a few weeks, but I'd love some feedback and suggestions before then if anyone has time.

So many hours...

Kudos to you for putting in the effort! Will check it out when I get a chance.

Things have not gotten better, and now I feel real far behind.
If we die and start the loop again, let me know and I'll hop back in. I'll be reading the thread though and keeping up.

Sorry things are so busy for you, but not really much has happened, Carlos. Because roleplay.
Going back to the last time you posted in Gameplay, we talked a bit about using this past to affect our future, but it was generally agreed to be a bad idea.
We made it to the boiler room, which is maybe not looking safe? I think that's what was trying to be conveyed, but I'm not sure if the idea is that all boiler rooms look unsafe, or that this boiler room looks un-safer than most.
I, personally, due to my non-boiling upbringing couldn't even tell you what a boiler room looks like or is comprised of. I think it's for heating water for a building. And I've written too much about my ignorance of boiler rooms at this point to look anything up.
Jerry turned on his headlamp and Jessica turned on her flaming sword, and they are walking deeper into the basement. One of the directions turned into a natural stone tunnel, and that's where the party has gone. The further we go, the colder it gets. We've come to a fancy door, and we've just declared that we're going to open it.

If it makes you feel any better, I'm also a bit behnind, though I plan to get a post up sometime soon.
Edit; It also looks like we might get a reset soon, since we've found the monster but have no idea how to properly kill it. But hey, we might pull it off! Or at least learn something about it in the process.
You could also spend some time trying to chat with <menacing growl>, <incomprehensible hissing> or Del-Gan. They've been mostly in the background so far, probably partly because I've been really busy and not posting much.

Hey, I've fallen behind in all of my PbPs. I kinda-sorta knew that I had taken on too many, but life got busy over the past week and then most of the PbP campaigns got busy, and all that drove the point home. I've dropped out of a few, and now I'm trying to catch back up on the others. Apologies for holding anything up, and feel free to bot me if necessary.

Alas, I do not have time magic. If I did I'd be posting from the my throne of secrets as I controlled the world from the shadows.
...which, in fairness, I could be doing. It's not like I'd admit that I'd really taken over the entire globe with time based shenanigans, blackmail and such. But I wouldn't leave it in this state.

I think I'm going to call it here. I'm sorry I kind of sputtered out, but I'm just spending less and less time right now with RPGS and writing so I think my motivation has hit an all time low.
I want to say thank you for the game and the chance to play with you all, the highs were very high and I've since introduced Monster of the Week to many people in meatspace and they've had some serious fun with it.
I hope to play with you again some day, and I appreciate all your understanding!
