Mothers day tomorrow and its the dead of night at the moment. I'll get something up when I have some time.
I'll wait on this level up until I figure out how I want to make Carlos' story move.

D_Var_Stars |

Sorry for delay, I wanted to check these with GMJon first so we didn't clash.
It's been a few months since Plague Master grossness, so all healed up.
For those who were on Gemstones table, 2 marks towards advancement, feel free to level up if that puts you at 5.

Hey Jessica, how does your sense thing work? Like when you see a woman that has been wronged or betrayed by a man. I was just wondering if you would get anything off Charly considering her backstory.

Jessica Andrews-Androleteira |

I don't think it would work because you're not mortal. It's something I do narratively to sell the whole "angel of vengeance" thing, and don't expect the GMs to use it (unless they want to!).
That being said, I just noticed this in your links that I'd forgotten:
You suspect that they know more about your heritage than they are telling.
Jessica Andrews knows something about Charly, even if they've never met. Perhaps she heard something through the grapevine, or maybe she saw something in a dream.
So maybe there is something there. Were you actually betrayed at some point? I just got the impression you were attacked by a vampire (who happens to be male).

Charlotte "Charly" Takahashi |

Well, she did get attacked by a male vampire that was planning on having some fun before killing her, but we all see how well that worked out for him. Her father did call her a monster and effectively abandoned her after she was turned.
I'd also forgotten about that. I'll leave how much you know up to you. It'll be more fun I think.
I figured it was a flavor thing, but I wanted to ask rather than assume anything. I'll post in a bit. Gotta get some work done this afternoon.

Jerry Harris Jr. |

Awesome, that puts Jerry over. Will review the options and take care of it as soon as I can.
I completely forgot about this, sorry. I'm going to be basic and go for more damage.
"Take a move from another playbook." I'm choosing a move from The Chosen.
Devastating: When you inflict harm, you may inflict +1 harm.
************
My move selections amount to some pretty obvious stacking of +1 Harms. Let me know if that's an issue.

Re: the race--
Angel Wings would work great, as you pointed out, except that I haven't been to the cabin yet.
However, what about flight? Jessica has wings now. What sort of rolls would you suggest, or can I fly to the cabin, then use Angel Wings to carry anyone falling behind?
Just a few ideas I have.

Charlotte "Charly" Takahashi |

I had an idea about being able to walk into one shadow and randomly pop out another, but given that Charly already has a short range teleport, I think that's gonna get vetoed. What about whack-a-mole with illusions?

Kavax'Kaotl |

Kavax… well, Kavax may well just take a straight line course for the cabin. Maybe give somebody else a lift if they need it. If he encounters obstacles, well, they can slow the werewolves down after he climbs over or crashes through them.
That said, I have been considering that he might also be able to wield his own magic to help him on his way... or maybe just to make following him hard. His magical talents lie primarily along the lines of 'blowing things up', 'lighting things on fire' and 'making things dead', but he does also have some Chaos magic for misdirection, warping perception, and generating erratic effects.

1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Jumping from shadow to shadow, at short range, is possible. Charly has done short range teleports before, but it would be more to get a short lead or an emergency evasion. Illusions would also work.
Jessica could possibly roll Kick Some Ass to bring a tree down on a fluff, Read a Bad Situation to see who needs her aid, or something else entirely.
Smashing his way through the trees, literally, is definitely an option for Kavax. As is causing Chaos. You do have three rolls to play with.
Oh, and Jerry, it is early afternoon - 1-2 PM kinda time.

Jerry Harris Jr. |

Bah, only 2 points. I was hoping for at least 4.

Thanks. I was asking because I wanted to see if the headlamp I bought last adventure could provide any benefit. It looks like it wouldn't have mattered.

List of people to talk to, preferably separately:
- Ethan
- "Juliette" (Do we have a name for her and I missed it?)
- Ethan's parents
- "Juliette's" parents
- Keefer
Have I missed anyone? We could also reach out to the sparring packs' alphas, but that could just be a shot in the dark.

A lot of the upper floor is taken up by bare bedrooms and small bathrooms - guest quarters, mostly. One room is larger, more chaotic and dominated by a large bed, and a painting of Emilia, a dark skinned woman and a tall man is one one wall. Clothing for a large looking man is over the back of one chair, but the shower in the on-suite bathroom is also running. Searching more might mean getting caught.

Jessica Andrews-Androleteira |

Act Under Pressure: 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (5, 4) + 2 = 11
Maybe this is the right thing to roll?
Keeping quiet while keeping an ear trained on the running shower, Jessica keeps searching through the bedroom's drawers and closets. She readies her ability to move the moment that the person taking the shower is done and is about to enter the main bedroom, planning to appear back on the porch as if she'd never left.
Do I find anything of interest?

JonGarrett |

[spoilers=Jessica]Several of the drawers contain the sort of things you might expect - undergarments and other even more...intimidate items, including protection such as a diaphragm and condoms. Tapped to the bottom of the lowest drawer, however, is a long iron key.
[/spoiler]

Jessica Andrews-Androleteira |

I could be the world's greatest thief, if I could hide things I didn't own, she thinks as she studies the key briefly to get a sense of what lock it could fit. She leaves it otherwise untouched.
To avoid anyone spotting her going down the stairs, she moves back to the front porch.

Just a heads up. Over the past few days I have found out that my grandparents on my dad's side both have COVID-19, my grandmother on that side is also in the hospital with a strep infection on top of this, and my grandfather on that side has been undergoing chemo treatments for cancer. Both are 76-77 years old, so already in the high-risk category before the rest of it. Just keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
