Lady Naysha suddenly stops, turns around, and runs back to the fight. She giggles the whole time, thinking that the bunyips just played a HILARIOUS trick on them all!

![]() |

"AAAAHHHHHHHHH!"
Fuzzzy keeps running.
My dad will be a few more hours before he can post.

Ruslo swings his hook at the yellow bunyip!
Attack: 1d20 + 6 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 6 + 1 + 1 = 25
Piercing Damage: 1d6 + 4 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 4 + 1 + 1 = 8
And Lady Naysha forgot to mention that Wolfy vanishes. Her spell has expired.
As the wolf vanishes Ruslo finds himself alone with the hard hitting bunyip. "...Uh-oh..."

GM_CariMac |

Ruslo is worried when the wolf disappears, but slowly, ever so slowly the bunyip in front of him slides to the ground no fight left in him.
Syllyn's and the wisp's attacks both miss.
Most of the party except for poor Fuzzy has composed themselves and returned to the fight. Fuzzy is still running, they may find him in the woods somewhere by the time he's done running away.
The last remaining buynip attacks at Syllyn, and hits him. 8 DMG 1 bleed

Aglynn finishes running back!
(2/2 rounds to run back)

Syllyn immedaitely heals 2 points of damage back and stops the bleeding and keeps the rage on. The tapping is getting frantic, but he hears his allies hurrying to help.

Ugh. Again? Almost the exact same to hit rolls as before but worse.
"A little help here, guys? I couldn't hit the back side of a wizard."

Ruslo hurries forward and swings his hook at the yellow bunyip!

"I'm coming, I'm coming. Hey?! We didn't do too bad, hey, Syllyn?"

![]() |

Sok keeps pace with Aglynn, running back into the room.

![]() |

"Depends on your definition of good. I just managed to keep my guy busy for a while. I did much better when the others were around. Nice summons, by the way."

GM_CariMac |

Blue falls to Ruslo's attack.
The group except for Fuzzy arrives back just in time to see the last Bunyip fall. There is still screaming from upstairs, and there are two very dead acolytes on the floor.

"AHHHHHHHHHHH!!"
Standing on top of a tall building down the road Fuzzzy looks confused.
"Bobby?! How'd I get up here?" He scratches his beard and thinks.... "And why?"

"Ah! Well, if you say so. Let's go back to this fish bowl thing."
Fuzzzy climbs down from the tall building and starts to make his way back, following Bobby's directions.
...Eventually. Haha.

![]() |

Lady Naysha runs the rest of the way back to the temple. ”Hey, guys! Wow, those bunyips sure were funny! What a great trick!” She laughs. ”I need to learn that one!”
Suddenly she looks at her stuffed animal. ”What’s that, Miss Whiskers? You hear screams? …Yeah, me too! Let’s go look!”
Lady Naysha goes to the screaming sounds.

![]() |

"I don't totally understand what's happening, but let's follow those screams!"

![]() |

Syllyn heals two more points of damage before he stops his healing performance.
"Indeed. Someone needs help. But remember to act like you don't care and you're a self serving tomb raiding Aespice thug."
but before taking the stairs he gives himself a tap from his wand of healing...

Ruslo drinks a potion, cleans off his grappling hook and heads outside. "Fuzzzy? Where are you, Old Man?"
Worried over his friend, Ruslo waits for Fuzzzy before following the others deeper into the temple.

Sok follows Lady Naysha up toward the screaming.

![]() |

Syllyn slooowly follows, looking back.
"Shouldn't we wait for the others?"
Though he did alright against those shark things, it made him nervous when wo man took off and he would just as soon stick together.

GM_CariMac |

Lady Nayasha finds an older man standing between herself and two children. They suddenly stop screaming at her appearance.
"Who are you? What happened to the Bunyips? Are they gone?" The little girl peeks around her father's let and gives the young woman a small smile.
Fuzzy is still nowhere to be seen.

![]() |

Thestil Shadowtongue says "The bunyips are dead. Who are you? What happened here?"

![]() |

Aglynn looks extremely concerned at the sight of children here. "Were you harmed? Do you need help?"

![]() |

Syllyn hears the conversation from a distance and waits on the stairs, figuring they are safe enough and not wanting to abandon the laggers.

![]() |

Ruslo twirls his hook while waiting for Fuzzzy, relieved when the screaming stops.

GM_CariMac |

Ruslo notices as he waits for Fussy that each of the two dead acolytes bears a rapier, leather armor, a scroll, and outre jewelry. One of the acolytes is wearing a bicorne which looks like what you might have been sent to collect.
The father responds to Lady Naysha's and Aglynn's questions, "We are unharmed, just frighted. The two acolytes left in charge of the temple decided to enact an impromptu sacrifice that went wrong. The Bunyips escaped and killed them. We were able to climb here to safety. I'm Josef and these are my daughters Niana, age 9, and Frelinda, age 6. I'm married to a pirate named Redelia that cheated the Besmarans out of a vast treasure before fleeing the city. They cannot punish Redelia, the vindictive acolytes decided to kidnap and sacrifice her family to some of Besmara’s favored sea creatures. Thank you for your intervention.

![]() |

"Get out of here before you get found by more Besmarans. Hurry now."
Lady Naysha purposely does not mention who they're with or why they're here. Once the people leave she looks around for the relic and treasure cause she doesn't know Ruslo found it already!

![]() |

Trying to play the part of a greedy self-serving consortium thug, Sylly responds, "Umph. Well, all's well that ends well, I suppose. Speaking of pirates, might as well loot the place while we are here. Know where they keep their treasure?"
Those Pathfinder chronicles sure are helpful at a time like this.

![]() |

Ruslo grins. "Well, well. Look what we have here." He puts the hat on his head and proceeds to loot the corpses while he waits for Fuzzzy. "Found it!" he calls out.

![]() |

"Hm. Got what they deserved for meddling with things they didn't understand, hm?" Sok absentmindedly begins folding a piece of paper while looking around the room. As he passes by, he hands an intricately-folded figure of a bunyip to Niana.

![]() |

Syllyn will cast read magic and attempt to decipher the scroll.

GM_CariMac |

Miana grins and runs off with the folded figure from Sok.
Syllyn finds something Ruslo missed, and the GM forgot to tell you about a small green figurine shaped like a frog. It is magical.
Scroll of Cure Light Wounds
You return to Jenks. He's happy to see that you have the items. He hands you this note and tells you to get going. "Take everything. Including the case the dagger came in. Get them on our side."
He hands you a note:
Agent Jenk,
You demonstrate excellent initiative in collecting our overdue debts and offering them as gifts to the Lissalans. This way, we can start to stem the hemorrhage of our goodwill with the Lissalans for very little actual cost to the Consortium. Deliver the items to the Lashmistress at the Lissalan safe house with our best wishes for future negotiations.
If Thestil Shadowtongue’s team has impressed you, they can make the delivery in your stead, but be sure they understand that the situation is politically tenuous. Indelicacy here could do us serious damage.
The Lissalan safe house is located underground. Their complex is accessible via an abandoned tattoo shop called “Seven Needles” just south of Zincher’s Arena and the Gas Forges.
The Lissalans remain paranoid, secretive, and edgy. Tread carefully, so we can turn this situation around. Success so soon after our arrival in Riddleport would mean accolades for me, and thus for you.
—The Spider

Aglynn nods solemnly at the instructions.

![]() |

Thestil Shadowtongue and Mr. Bloomy the stuffed rabbit leads her team outside with the relics and follows the directions for the safe house. As they travel she tells her pals, "Remember. We don't want to get in any fights here. But we do want to cause trouble. This ifs going to be so much fun!"
Right before they arrive, Thestil Shadowtongue snaps her fingers and suddenly looks like Jenk! She giggles! Then winks at her pals.
I can disguise self at will with my assumed form ability. I also have talent at disguises. My disguise is Disguise: 1d20 + 13 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 13 + 10 = 28 I think that's the worst disguise she's ever made! Haha.

"Can someone else figure out what this does?"
After he sees the resourceful Naysha turn into Jenk, he says, "Interesting. What are your plans? Mess things up and blame Jenk?"

GM_CariMac |

Tenements sprawl across the portion of the Wharf District between Zincher’s Arena and the solid-looking Gas Forges. A shop with a sign reading “Seven Needles” stands at the end of a dim, trash-strewn alley.
The tattoo parlor is abandoned, its windows cracked and portions of its wooden trim looking they were removed long ago.
Keep planning. I wanted to move us forward a bit, but I don't want you to feel rushed.

"Ah, of course! We can activate this figurine to create servitor frogs, or even for battle companions in a pinch. I suppose someone of my size could even use it as a mount, if needed."

![]() |

"Well, isn't that fascinating. But why? Why would someone spend all that time an money to create an item to summon frogs? Makes no sense to me. So, who wants to be the frog whisperer?"
It's rather obvious Syllyn is not interested in holding onto an item that summons frogs. I think he underestimates them.

![]() |

"I'll hold on to it. I suppose a mount in a pinch isn't the worst thing to have on hand." Sok will take it if no one else wants it.
"Anyway, nowhere to go but down, right? Are we ready to lift the hatch?"

![]() |

”Let’s do it, but be ready for anything.”

![]() |

I guess Syllyn takes the scroll of CLW. What caster level 1?
"I'm ready. But remember that it blew up last time so I think only one of us should be near to it when it is opened. I'll volunteer unless one of you thinks they can deal with any traps a better way."

![]() |

"Hello?!" Fuzzzy calls out loudly, curious if anyone is around. If no one answers he knocks on the trap door. "Can I come in? My owl says I'm expected!"
...If no one answers the trap door he backs up so Syllyn can open it.
