My Faction Objective was "[r]esolve a combat encounter nonviolently through bribery, diplomacy, trickery, or a similar tactic" - I think you mixed it up with a significantly-different Sovereign Court Objective.

I kind of regret springing for the nonviolent option now that I look at the Chronicle (not to mention the embarrassment of not noticing that clause despite having already earned multiple fully-successful copies of this exact Chronicle). I could just as easily have earned certain other Objectives this time around, and I'm not normally one to ever pass up a non-perishable Boon, no matter how minor or circumstantial. :P
