Terexaltherin, what plane did you want to come from into the City of Brass? I'd vote the plane of air, but I don't have any strong preference or inclination.

What? Half-Elf Writer 1 / Dancer 1 / Chemist 1

For purposes of consistency, there is no permanent portal between the planes of Air and Fire, because the djinni and efreeti are at war with each other.

This just means you had to have come through a temporary portal created by a spellcaster.

I'd kind of been assuming we'd be arriving from somewhere on the Prime Material Plane--major cities seem like more likely places for a Riftwarden base capable of sending some reinforcements. The Plane of Air seems like it would be a difficult place to maintain much of a presence--on the other hand, that could be an advantage, and the Riftwardens probably do try to be everywhere they can. But without having discussed a reason to be on the Plane of Air I'd say the Prime Material.

Sooo, what's up with our gunslinger and flumph? It would be nice to have the whole team gather up.

What? Half-Elf Writer 1 / Dancer 1 / Chemist 1

Well, I was planning on introducing them mid-encounter, depending on what you guys choose to do next. What do y'all think?

I do not mind, as long as they are not getting less motivated by the game!

No complaints on the wait here, still very excited!

I'm trying to remember how secretive the Riftwardens are. My vague recollection is that they were sort-of secret.

What? Half-Elf Writer 1 / Dancer 1 / Chemist 1

Riftwardens are the sort of group that's secret just because the knowledge they pursue and their goals are sort of above most mortal ken. They don't actively pursue secrecy, and they don't advertise themselves either.

Leinathan, are you waiting for us to move on with the next day?

What? Half-Elf Writer 1 / Dancer 1 / Chemist 1

No, you're waiting on me. I've been P BUSY WITH NORMAL LIFE STUFF.

I hope this is normal normal life stuff!

Hey gang, just a head's up that I'm going to Philadelphia for a few days for work, (Sunday through Wednesday) and may not have much availability while I'm there.

Still very much looking forward to this game!

It is normal life stuff - although it isn't all work, it does all require energy!

Is the Library within 680 feet?

What? Half-Elf Writer 1 / Dancer 1 / Chemist 1

Definitely no. Also, you cannot teleport with an object that you cannot carry, so the ability to teleport a giant's body is unlikely.

Ah well, I was hoping to argue the corpse as being a large creature.

What if we just take the head (And throat)? As long as it has a mouth, we can _speak with dead_ it.

Could we just get a scroll of speak with dead and cast it on site if that's going to be easier?

What? Half-Elf Writer 1 / Dancer 1 / Chemist 1

A corpse is an object, unfortunately.

You brought Emij with, and he prepared speak with dead, so you can just bring him in.

Yep, we all rolled a bunch of intimidate/diplomacy stuff. I know that Leinathan got a new job recently, so that might be why he isn't posting.

Hey guys, I have some sad news for you.

A lot has been going on in my life lately that make it very difficult to have the time or inclination or energy to spend much time writing out posts on a computer. I seem to have been drawn out of the digital world into the real world to deal with a lot of stuff.

To be short, I've started a new job, I'm moving soon, my mother is getting divorced, I'm starting a new relationship, and I'm trying to find time for artistic pursuits in addition to my 2-hour commute. It's simply too exhausting for me to even consider doing this anymore. Not to mention the fact that it's been years and, frankly, it just doesn't satisfy me in the way that it used to.

I've come to the conclusion that it's time for me to quit Paizo.

I know I've just got a couple of new people, and that's always disappointing. I'm sorry, this wasn't a good time for me to be getting new people in.

Best of luck in pursuing your IRL endeavors! Creating Sir Crunchy was an experience worth having, so even though I haven't done much with the crabby wizard, he was still a pleasure to play, even if for a short period of time.

Leinathan, you were the first GM that I had on these boards, a staggering 6 years ago, and have always been one of the best. I think it's very understandable to want to move on, especially with so much else going on in your life. I wish you all the best, and hope we'll get to play together again some day <3
