I'm not sure if the auto-miss from a natural 1 would pop an image or what since it would have been a hit otherwise. I'd guess that it just missed completely, images and all, due to natural 1's always missing.

"Taman, the div had you under a spell! She was a foe!" Glasha says quickly before casting vanish on herself and flying in the direction of the arrows that came presumably from someone on the rooftop.

Glasha will be 5' above the rooftop. I know Glasha isn't aware of where the archer is currently and I don't want to metagame so I'll stop her token on the edge of the roof. If she spots the archer she’ll stare at them.

Glasha yells for the blue crowd to keep moving northeastward, hoping to maybe catch sight of the hooded woman in the crowd as well. ”People! Please move away from the fountain in an orderly fashion!” intimidate: 1d20 + 24 ⇒ (20) + 24 = 44

Witch's Winter Holiday

Taman, when did you enter rage? And have your actions been consistent with those of a raging barbarian?

Thoriel, you had an action readied and decided not to take it. Please give me a moment to resolve the rest of the hooded woman's turn - we might need to retcon your actions if you can't locate her.

The hooded woman tries to blend back into the crowd...

...and again, only Fendel's keen eyes can track her movements.

Thoriel, I would have no problem with you casting the spell and moving if you wanted. I placed your icon back at the fountain for clarity.

Everyone is aware that they can speak even when it's not their turn, correct?

Glasha doesn't spot the archer, but she feels confident that he'll have a much harder time hiding while she's on the lookout. She hears the crowd cry out in fear as she harshly directs them.

Given the directions from Fendel, I have no problem with Thoriel casting her spell and moving next to the hooded woman's location (holding the charge). Token has been moved appropriately.

Seelah tries to continue directing the crowd, but her voice is becoming hoarse and the crowd mills about in confusion.

Clearing her throat seems to have done the trick as Seelah's cajoling sends the crowd out of the plaza. As Shardra begins her summoning ritual again and Fendel gently tends to the angry insects, Taman pulls out a bottle and starts administering its contents to his unconscious blue-skinned friend.

Taman, it takes a full-round action to give a potion to an unconscious person. You could pull it out and start giving it to her, then finish administering it with your next standard action.

The archer seems uncomfortable meeting Glasha's gaze as he tries to resist her spell...

Apparently I'm only here to spoil your crits Thoriel - sorry! But you have an extra move action (that can't involve moving ¯\_(ツ)_/¯) for your next post if you would like.

Shardra, remember that summon monster has a range of "Close", which would be 55 ft at CL 7. That puts the archons significantly more than 30 ft away, which means they'll have to move before attacking the archer and thus only be able to fire one ray each. I'll use the first roll for each archon and place them approximately as close to Shardra as possible while still in attacking range.

Three balls of light appear and race off towards the nauseated archer. As they get close enough, beams of light fly out of each - but the archer's form is somewhat blurred...

She then charges up her blade once again, this time with dark energy, and then lashes out at the prone monster.

Witch's Winter Holiday

Seelah, this is an evil outsider so you do an extra 7 damage on your first smite attack. Yay!

Seelah's sword pierces the div's heart, and she falls limp again and Taman stares in shock.

I swear, I'm not trying to block ever single critical hit Thoriel makes! Let's redirect that movement and attack against the archer instead - Thoriel has the move speed to push through the crowd and reach him.

Miss chance, 1 = miss: 1d5 ⇒ 2

Fendel's bomb leaves the swarms angry, but not quite disbursed as Glasha threatens the archer on the rooftop. Thoriel runs up underneath her companion and slashes the archer viciously, draining his health and leaving a gaping wound in his side.

Thoriel gains 32 temp hp!

The archer does not comply with Glasha's demands and tries to nimbly move away from the two very threatening ladies...

Glasha's readied action goes off, and Thoriel has an AoO she can take. I'm moving him off the map to represent him not being on the map anymore, but with his limited speed of 30 ft/round, I'm not worried about anyone keeping up with him. Just say you pursue as a move action and you'll catch up to him.

Shardra tries to resist the poison again...

Witch's Winter Holiday

With a final boom, Fendel sends the last of the wasps buzzing away. Yay!

Miss chance, < 21 = Miss: 1d100 ⇒ 73

I know I'm being inconsistent - I'm trying out things to see which I like better. Also, Glasha is no longer hasted, but her attack will still hit.

The archer tries to dart away, but Glasha thumps him on the head and he falls limp.

Out of initiative!

As the buzzing fades, the crowds begin to quiet down as well, and hushed murmuring fills the plaza. Several citizens glance apprehensively at the balcony where Prince Zinlo was shot, but none seem brave enough to venture any further into the square.

The detective makes his way to the archer. Fendel searches the man for orders and any hidden gear before binding the man's arms, elbows, ankles and knees. Again he wonders why there is no one trying to protect the Prince or the citizenry. The ones who stopped us seemed somewhat dedicated.

He looks to the mesmerist, "Don't you wonder where the guards are? We need to stay careful and alert, there may be some other looming threat. Don't forget to retrieve your equipment."

Witch's Winter Holiday

As Taman flies up to the balcony, he is surprised to see that the body of Prince Zinlo is nowhere to be found!

Intelligence or Wisdom DC 15:
The div came from the same general area - perhaps it was disguised as the prince.

The Pathfinders investigate the unconscious archer and find an enchanted mithral chain shirt, an enchanted composite longbow, cold iron arrows, a well-made scimitar, an enchanted cloak, magical goggles, and a gold Aspis insignia.

After a few minutes, city guards arrive on the scene. They apprehend the Pathfinders - blaming them for the disturbance and deaths - but the testimony of many eyewitnesses sets them straight. Priests from the church of the Dawnflower arrive as well and begin tending to the wounded and praying for the deceased. The townsfolk remain shaken by the events of the afternoon, but the Sun Orchid Festival is able to conclude peacefully (albeit on a much more subdued note).

I'll get the rest of the summary typed up later, but we are done! Excellent work Pathfinders!

Seelah, I still need your character information so I can finalize the chronicle sheets.

Shardra is very happy that the team was successful.

”We really made a difference today as our joint corporation will be the reason that this land does not get corrupted by a leader that does not understand that serving his people is his only task! It was a pleasure to make your acquaintance and I very much hope that we will see each other again on another mission!“ Shardra says and bows.

Witch's Winter Holiday

Back at Absalom, Lady Morilla and Marcos Farabellus have a chance to debrief the team.

"First off, excellent job taking down Kitio Aspenthi," the Master of Swords begins. "I don't know if you realize it, but this is the very man who led the Korholm Agenda against the Grand Lodge. With him removed, the Agenda is effectively shattered - a few lone wolves may prowl the Inner Sea region with dreams of reviving the faction, but they've lost their entire support network. We should be able to mop up any survivors with little difficulty. Well done, agents." He takes a seat with a smile.

"Indeed," Lady Morilla picks up as she stands. "And with the evidence you recovered, Princess Ziralia has been able to begin quietly pressuring Prince Zinlo to abdicate - or at the very least surrender all of his military aspirations to expand his territory. With our support," she pauses to nod at Shardra and Thoriel, "she has been consolidating evidence that unequivocally proves Zinlo's schemes, as well as accumulating local allies that oppose such brutal methods and unrest in Thuvia at large. The princess also sends her gratitude to the Pathfinder Society for striving to keep the innocent citizens of Aspenthar safe during this rather unfortunate event. Excellent work, as always."

The End!
