Paizo has been erratic for a loooong time now - mainly need to refresh page multiple time until I see my most recent post. I think they have abandoned the forums completely, leaving it only 'as is' with basic maintenance. At least it feels like that.

@ Garrosh - Try clearing your cookies (that sounds weird). Paizo had a server crash back in February and their IT department says clearing your cookies should help.

Bah low rolls. Probably the 20 to hit, especially since it's grappled when struck, but only 1 damage. Maybe we'll get lucky with aura of menace.

Oh crud, I think I lost track of what round we were on. Poor Blossom! Not that Violet’s healing would have been enough. I thought Blossom was still at full HP… but that was two rounds ago.

Hold up. I can track my summon's DR and HP, I just need you to call out if the attacks are bypassing their specific DR. It will inform my actions better. When you said popping I thought you mean aura was going away not they were dying.
I would have summoned the latest three next to where Garrosh was, (where they and it would have cover and not be eligible for AoO) until now I thought they weren't taking any damage and were drawing AoOs so the party didn't have to take them for things. I wouldn't have purposefully provoked AoO on my attack engine if I thought the spawn could damage them through their DR so easily. I don't want to retcon, that's fine.
Lanterns do have DR 10 and these lantern archons have 17 hp each from augmented summons so I believe I have one lantern left with 7 hp. Ok switching to buff mode.

The spawn is affected by their DR but also has power attack for a feat so that helps with DR some. The problem is Rose tore down the curtains , so there is no cover. Besides if you have clear LOS to zap it with Lazer beams, it means it also has clear line of sight to you. Garrosh actually took AOOS for shooting it. It is also smarter then Ann or Piotr.

No I mean when you make your damage rolls please roll the raw numbers and call out DR bypasses. On your last post you rolled 2d6+2 with power attack for AoO, but I belive the actual roll is 2d6+12. You subtracted the DR that the lanterns have in the roll. Which led me to believe the lanterns we basically invulnerable, because I was confused and applying the DR twice. I would not have played them so aggressively if I realized how good its AoO damage was.
As far as where Garrosh was he didn't have cover. But to each side of him the lanterns would have. Two would have had LoS and cover. They would have been at a penalty to hit but cover also protects them from AoO.
This is why I cast my spells where I did so I didn't risk AoO but had LoS into the room.

So to plan our next attempt...
It is immune to penetrating, has spell resistance, Piotr can't hit it (bad rolls but probably should be part of the plan), high amount of aoos(so Ann's attempt of distraction failed), fast healing... does it have DR, can't remember but will look up.
No reason to waste Ann on incorporeal based on the aoos. Piotr should stop using his shield and switch to a two handed weapon. Other suggestions?

With Blossum here maintaining misfortune I'd think we'd have it in the bag. But it still would take like 10 3 rounds probably.

Also think on how you want to bypass the formless spawn. Had you not torn down the curtains, it'd just mean a simple walk past. Now it gets a bit more complicated.
If all of you simply run past, expect AOOs, people getting grabbed etc.

There is another doorway in h4. Could we go around the creature by just not using that hallway?

We could try and see if Ann could get the bathroom monster to move? Since he can't seem to hurt her in ghost form... wait, hmmm, might be okay. Ann can be 50 feet away from Piotr without concentration, and 100 feet away when he is doing nothing else other than concentrating.
Might be able to lure it away with that, but not sure if it is worth it in truth. And it might not give chase, since it hasn't seemed to move yet.

Not worth it unless we gain a level or get an item that will significantly increase our DPR.

I don't think we have to get past, more we could try and loot the room. But I am happy to move on as well. Get to treasure hunting in the dreamlands :)

Any chance Violet can rescue Tiff from the ghoul skull research? Truespeech in Lyrakien form could make this go quicker rather than me wasting 3 days on a failure.

I didn’t specifically mention it, but in my head, Rose casted her hours-long spells: GMF + magic armors. She will always start the day with those spells active, in the interest of not having to narrate that.
Bark skin and other tens-of-minutes are spells I will specify as casting. I didn’t, so no bark skin right now.
