The Blue Goblin is surprised and throws his last big bomb at Hannar again. "Wow, he no go boom!"

Meanwhile the Green Goblin laughs, turns around and yelps as Kavor climbs up. He quickly pulls out a vial of alchemist's fire.

@Kavor: Nothing says you can't charge, so go for it!

This encounter more than makes up for the 3 dogs who had no chance of hitting you.

Hannar's bolts of energy blast the Blue goblin off of the rafters, and he splats on the ground with a satisfying crunch.

Carini readjusts her aim for the Red Goblin but comes up short, again.
Loni takes the time to heal Darven again as Drootina is glad to be there.

Darven shoots a goblin as the flames roar about him. Loni keeps him standing.

The red goblin pulls out another vial of alchemist's fire and hurls it at Hortensia.

Hortensia notices minor burns, but the vial continues to burn.

The Green Goblin yelps again and draws a short sword. "Hairy man not burn! Boo!"

That's some good rolling!

Hortensia missed the first arrow, but she didn't miss the second. It goes right through the goblin's ear, sending her plummeting right off the rafters.

Kavor retaliates and leaves a terrible scar, but Carini's arrow finishes off the third goblin.

One last flare from the goblin's fire and they are no more.

With the goblins dead, the ambience is much more bearable - you hearing nothing more than the busy streets of Whitethrone.

You proceed to search the brewery and find a pile of cracked and broken kegs next to a door leading downstairs.

Perception DC 25:
You notice the kegs are set up in such a way to collapse as soon as someone opens the door.
You need a Disable Device check, DC 20 to disable it.

Speaking of current spells....how much time left on the Mage Armor spells? The one I cast on myself was 2 hours, using the wand is only 1 hour.

I'm following the marching order, here. Darven has a chance to heal up before you proceed.

You notice one of the wooden planks holding the kegs looks weak. As you reach the stairway, the plank snaps in half, sending the heavy kegs falling your way!

Keg vs Darven: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (1) + 15 = 16
Damage: 3d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 1) = 11

Keg vs Hortensia: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (9) + 15 = 24
Damage: 3d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 4) = 13

Darven's armor holds, but Hortensia is buried underneath the kegs. She's looking even worse than before.

Been slammed at work the past few nights.

Darven will take the goblin's three potions and start drinking the one by one. 3d8 + 3 ⇒ (5, 5, 5) + 3 = 18 healing

Darven smirks as the last goblin falls. "These guys fought with a purpose, I wonder what for." He goes back and picks his shield up and straps it back onto his arm.

Darven is stunned as the keg bounces off his armor. He then catches himself and presses on.

Hortensia has all the time she needs to heal herself. After getting the kegs out of the way, you open the door and head downstairs.

This brick-walled room is fifty feet long and twenty-five feet wide and the ceiling stands twenty feet tall. Abandoned metal braces, likely once used to hold up shelves of items, are studded along the west and east brick walls. A fresh, new- looking wooden door is closed on the east wall. The entire room smells of unwashed flesh and possesses a faint, sickly- sweet odor. The room is unbelievably hot, a sharp contrast to the cold brewery above. Makeshift shelves stand on north and south ends of the room, some of them sparsely filled with books. A large, round wooden table sits in the middle of the room, surrounded by chairs. Along the entire length of the west wall are stacked cages, jars, buckets, bottles and various bits of masonry, all teeming with a wide variety of insects.

As Darven swings the door open, he sees a rat the size of a house cat hiss and snarl.

You hear a voice from the back (south) of the room. "The assassins arrive! They've come to kill my beauties! Kill them fast!"

Looks like the enemy had time to prepare...

"Stand to the ready, my friends, it seems we may have been expected."

Hannar moves quickly into the room, gripping his glowing quaterstaff tightly, and moves to the side to get out of the way of the others.

I didn't take in account the stairs being difficult terrain. Hannar will just talk real quick and delay until end of the turn or the way is clear of teammates.

Hannar readies himself for danger just as the dire rat tries to pounce Darven!

It fails to do much to his armor.

"Go, my spiders! Kill them like you did those wizards!" The man behind the furthest bookshelf finishes incanting and a swarm of spiders form around the fireplace.

"Jeez, Vermud! Gimme a warning, here!" Another voice calls out as the swarm approaches. The dirty human man, dressed in furs and animal hides emerges from the back staircase and loads a sling. "What are you waiting for! Kill them!"

You realize there are probably more enemies in the area, but where?

Unable to make use of her glaive now this rat is so close Hortensia draws her longsword and takes a swing at it.

Carini will make the double move that she initially attempted, since the rat is no longer in the way.

Carini continues into the room, following the wall to the other side of the book stacks, hoping to get the jump on someone from behind.

What's under the black square? Carini is moving at least 5' this round, so she can see it now. But depending on what's there, this may be a 5' step and attack, or the movement may continue.

@Carini: The black square is a swarm of spiders.

This brick-walled room is fifty feet long and twenty-five feet wide and the ceiling stands twenty feet tall. Abandoned metal braces, likely once used to hold up shelves of items, are studded along the west and east brick walls. A fresh, new- looking wooden door is closed on the east wall. The entire room smells of unwashed flesh and possesses a faint, sickly- sweet odor. The room is unbelievably hot, a sharp contrast to the cold brewery above. Makeshift shelves stand on north and south ends of the room, some of them sparsely filled with books. A large, round wooden table sits in the middle of the room, surrounded by chairs. Along the entire length of the west wall are stacked cages, jars, buckets, bottles and various bits of masonry, all teeming with a wide variety of insects.

The man laughs. "How many trees did those wizards burn? All of them! All of them! Isn't that right, Giselle?" The man turns to one of the jars of insects. "That's why they had to die. That's why they ALL had to die! Hahaha!"
