Hjort whimpers from underneath his seat. "Is-is it over?" Hjort emerges from beneath the stool and starts talking. "Oh, did Runa send you guys? Did I pass? Can I join your ehh Shadowy Lodgings? When's my pay?"
If this is Hjort, he seems much too naïve to be the target. Hjort wipes the sweat off his face, smearing the red tattoo in the shape of the scar on his left cheek.
Wait a minute. It's a look alike, pretending to be Hjort. You briefly play along and agree to whatever he's rambling about.
"R-really! Great! Well, this guy, Hjort. He kinda looks like me, minus the scar on the left cheek." The look alike smiles. "He and this lady, Runa White or something, they come into town and give me this great deal. I just sit in here for a couple of months, drink some ale, have a good time! They said they were preparing to go to the armory, dressed up as these... Path-fingers. Yeah, I think that's their name Path-fingers or something like that. They said there were gonna burn it down, but they were jokin'...right?"
You notice the gears turn in his head. "Oh no. Wait, were they serious about that? Maybe that's why they were disguised as Path-fingers. So they would take the blame! They would be dragged out and hunted down. And Castellan Darkwine would lose so much power."
"W-wait a minute guys, I thought you Shadowy Lodgings guys were just actors. Hjort and Runa were just kidding?" The look alike seems quite hesitant and somewhat guilty about what he may have done.

We could question one when he's conscious, but now I think we should go to the armory."

I'm assuming you guys make haste to the armory after healing up.
The look-alike’s directions lead straight south across the market to a blank, wooden structure straddling the line between the market and a secured residential district. All seems quiet, though a small group of guards are speaking to one another quietly out front in Skald.
The front door to the armory is made of a heavy, thick wood and is bound by iron. At several points across the door, visible cracks and splintered wood can be seen. The battered door stands slightly ajar, opening inward to darkness.
Four men stand outside the door, weapons drawn. They seem to be investigating the door as you arrive.
"Halt! Who goes there! Are you involved with the disturbance here? Speak quickly, or submit to the law of Castellan Darkwine!"
The men here are hostile towards you, but they can be calmed down. You can also just fight them, if you want.

I used Loni's Mage Armor wand on Drootina before we entered the bar, so it should last 1 hour. I don't think he needs another use already, but it would be best to hear the official adjudication. Come to think of it, I had cast on myself, but mine is good for 2 hours.

Your plea manages to calm down the soldiers, who sheathe their axes. "You have a point. Sorry for jumping to conclusions like that. We'll keep watch outside. Be careful in there." They quickly stand aside.

The goblins are extremely quick to flood the room. One of the goblins on the west side stays put and rubs her Black gloves together until they burst into flame.
Three goblins quickly rush Darven, hoping to poke his flatfooted self.
