Discuss your explorations of Highdelve here.

I'm looking forward to it! You all did an excellent job crafting your story hooks, so I only had to make a few small changes to make the module fit them. Once everyone is checked in I'll get us started. I'm based in California, so I'm operating out of the Pacific time zone, though time differences shouldn't be too big a deal.
Also, unless anyone objects I'm going to register this game as a Gameday VII game (our PbP convention) so that we get to roll for a chance at winning convention boons.

Oh, boy! I am excited!

My sister and I love the puppet show video!

Hi, Dennis!
This weekend is Thanksgiving so my family and I will probably be too busy to fit in a post. We’ll be back to regular posting on Tuesday. We hope you have a great weekend!
Thanks!

Aaaaaand... we're back! (And happy to get rolling!)
The rest of my family will trickle in throughout the evening.

![]() |

Sounds good! I'm playing a F2F game this evening and am likely to not get home until 11pm, so may not get a response up until tomorrow.

Sorry for the delay, folks. I'm at a local con this weekend, and had less time to post than I anticipated.
On another note, Jessica, my wife (Kate Baker) asked me to thank you for the kind reviews of her scenarios (SFS 1-08 and PFS 9-24). She really enjoyed reading them.

![]() |

No worries, Dennis! I hope you had a great con!
I didn't know Kate was your wife! I had the chance to play alongside her in a run of Dead Man's Debt a while back, which was great fun. I hoped to get in on one of those PBP scenarios she GMed of her Sanctuary of Drowned Delight scenario but I didn't have a Starfinder high enough level at the time.
Thanks for reading! I'm glad she enjoyed it.

It was a great con! It's all indie games, no organized play, which is great because at our 'normal' local cons I rarely escape the PFS/SFS room. At this one (Big Bad Con), I always try new systems I've never played before, which is nice. This year I tried Masks, Streets of Passion (a Blades in the Dark/Forged in the Dark hack), Bluebeard's Bride, and Laser Kittens.
A lightbulb went off over Kate's head that I mentioned you'd been in that Dead Man's Debt game with her; she hadn't made the connection that was you.

I realized that I referred to Sereia by the wrong name a few posts back. Sorry! I'm playing in another game with a Sheiara, and the two are close enough that I typed the wrong one without even noticing it. D'oh!

As we approach the end of the scenario, it appears looking through your profiles that no one has a day job (since Lomo doesn't have any ranks in that Craft(alchemy) score. Is that right, or did I miss something? Also, is there anything else I need to know to fill out your chronicle sheets (slow progression, etc.)?

![]() |

No worries!
That is correct. None of us have day jobs. We're all unemployed layabouts.
Regular progression. Croak and Sereia are Grand Lodge, Lomo is the Dark Archives, and Pinesong is the Concordance.
Lomo and Pinesong won't be checking off any faction goals, but Croak and Sereia will.
Both will check off a box for:
Adventure in a nation other than Absalom. You can receive credit for visiting a particular nation only once. Checking one of this goal’s boxes does not prevent you from checking one box for a different goal. (Which country is Highdelve in again?)
Croak and Sereia will also both attempt the following faction goal:
Convince an NPC to work as a Pathfinder Society contact, or convince a disaffected agent to work with the Society again. This requires a successful Diplomacy or Knowledge (local) check with a DC equal to 15 + your character level.
I'm not sure who Croak will try to use it on. Maybe the two kids. Or maybe the Mayor. Maybe even the dragon. She'll roll when she gets home. I'll roll as well, but after Croak decides who she's going to try to recruit. I want to give her first choice.
....And I don't think there's anything else I need to know for the Chronicles. They're all at 0 Fame and XP, and this will be the second chronicle for all of them (since the first is their race boons).

Highdelve is in Brevoy. I don't think I need to sign off on the faction cards, though I'll make a note on your chronicle if you'd like me to.

![]() |

Thanks so much for running this for us, Dennis! We had a great time. And my kids are seriously over the moon they got to ride a dragon! Haha.

![]() |

Here are your chronicle sheets! Let me know if you find any mistakes. I had a great time playing with you all!

![]() |

Thank you! I had lots of fun! Maybe we will play again together one day. That would be nice.
Bye!

![]() |

OH! And Croak tries to convince Aurelliax to help the Pathfinders!
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
I do not beat the DC 16.

![]() |

Awesome! Thanks!

![]() |

Sereia attempts to convince the troublemakers to join.
Diplomacy: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 = 0
Unsurprisingly failing. Haha.

Thank you! I had lots of fun! Maybe we will play again together one day. That would be nice.
Bye!
That'd be great. I'd love to GM for you all again some time.

![]() |

Oh, I almost forgot! We need to roll for Gameday boons! Everyone, please roll me a d20 and a d4. Boon wins on a 19 or 20, and if you win the d4 determines which one.
Dennis boon?: 1d20 ⇒ 5
Which one?: 1d4 ⇒ 2

![]() |

My chronicle has one error but that is my fault. I am in the Concordance but I accidentally had on my profile that I was Grand Lodge. So my chronicle you gave me says Grand Lodge.
1d20 ⇒ 13
1d4 ⇒ 1

Nope! I did not win one. That's okay. This adventure had very cool boons! I used my dragon statue to turn it into a magic pet! It's a flying squirrel with giant bulging golden eyes who looks like he got run over by a carriage. His name is Roadkill. I have a stuffed animal at home that looks just like that, and I have been wanting to make a Pathfinder pet like that for a while, so I am very excited!

1d20 ⇒ 12
1d4 ⇒ 3
Thank you for GMing. I had lots of fun. My kids both say it was one of their favourites (EVER).

Thanks! This is certainly one of the most fun games I've GMed, too; you all have built some very fun, memorable characters.
FYI, I've reported this session through the Gameday VII reporting portal. It may be a little while before it shows up on your Paizo accounts.
