I know you can't Aid Knowledge skills (well, you can, but it doesn't actually help), but I don't see a similar reason for restriction with Spellcraft. Either way, its fine. You also only rolled a 6, and I suspect that you were pretty close.
Kendren looks over the desecrated shrine of Erastil, a dark look on his face. "I cannot believe a priest of Erastil would do this willingly - not without some dark force at work. I see the hand of a demon in this."
Knowledge check for who Delamere is?

Kendren Nollt |

Knowledge (religion): 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (4) + 12 = 16

Nuala Sataleeti |

History: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (2) + 13 = 15
Religion: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (18) + 18 = 36
"I can perhaps perform a divination as well. If needed.."

Valkyrie Stormseeker |

Perc: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (18) + 15 = 33
I should have asked, but are we in enemy territory here? Cause i would have cast buffs before heading into a potential dangerous spot.

That perception check turns up a well-read and filthy book among the rubble in the shrine, called The Stag King’s Bride—a near- heretical Erastilian holy book bound in green leather. It’s an account of a priestess of Erastil named Delamere who taught that cities were among the greatest blights humanity had ever conceived, and that any settlement of more than 53 citizens was inherently evil. According to Delamere’s bizarre and nigh-incomprehensible teachings, the fifty- fourth person in any settlement has an unusually high chance to be a traitor to a family, based in part on the theory that a family of five lies at the center of six families of five— grandparents, cousins, and nieces and nephews. The fifty- fourth person, therefore, would be outside of the family, and thus a danger. Delamere’s teachings were controversial, but in the smaller towns of northeastern Sarkoris they gained enough popularity that when she died, she was buried in a sizable tomb. Since that time, the families of those who follow her teachings were each assured a place in the large tomb as well. According to the final pages of the book (or to the successful Knowledge check mentioned above), the tomb itself was located in a place of geothermal activity called the Weeping Hills, some 24 miles south of Drezen. Of note in these last pages is a single short message written in ink: “Delamere has the right of it—Drezen is too big for its own good. A trip to her tomb to search for more of her teachings may be in order.”

"It seems the priest has set off to find this tomb.. Perhaps we should as well.."
What would it take to fix the shrine here? A clean up and Hallow spell perhaps? Just trying to up the morale..

![]() |

"That is going to take us a whole day of travel to get there, a day to explore, and another to come back. Everyone pack up a bit of food for the road and let's get walking."

Nuala Sataleeti |

We should get the forge back up and running first I would think. Thats gonna take a few days..

drbuzzard |

You cast detect magic and look at the shrine, apparently it is under an unhallow, so a hallow could reverse that. It would also have to be cleaned up and set right. That's probably a day of solid work.
The forge being uncorrupted is a function of your rolls, I cannot specify a time frame as it is random.

Nuala Sataleeti |

Do I need to cast a Hallow each day? Because I already cast the first.
Next Day try.. Spellcraft: 1d20 + 24 + 1d6 ⇒ (20) + 24 + (5) = 49

Nuala Sataleeti |

"I think I've got this thing licked. Let's spend a day cleaning it up and then head to the tomb.."

Kendren Nollt |

During the day Nuala spends working on the forge, Kendren cleans up the temple of Erastil. Erastus may not be his deity, but he was still a good deity, and it would improve morale among the crusaders.
Once that’s done, Kendren will ensure he has sufficient food for the journey to Delamere’s tomb.

![]() |

Was this chasm far enough that it takes us a day to get there? Just wondering if we are fully rested before attempting this.

Nuala Sataleeti |

I'm assuming we could get horses with the army in tow correct?
Upon arrival Nuala will cast some long terms buffs.
Freedom of Movement using Enduring Blessing, Extended Heroism, Ant Haul, Heightened Awareness, Mythic Mage Armor, and Overland Flight.
"Might wanna invest in some fire protections here.. I have a spell or two that can help should the need arise.."

Kendren Nollt |

Once they arrive, Kendren casts a spell to protect himself from fire.
Casting Resist energy (fire) for 90 minutes of fire protection.
"Would that this would be a glorious battle against a demonic general for the fate of the world. This would be the perfect backdrop for such a glorious fight."
His sword says, "Oh! Oh! I can sing a theme song. Kendren, knocking down the doo-oors. Kendren, smiting the demons where they sta-and. Ooo-ooo, Kendren..."
The sword is horribly off-key in its singing. Kendren says, "Shhh. Now is the time for a more silent approach, not singing."

Are we at "G", "I", or "M" on the big map? Those all appear to be close to lava looking stuff.
"I don't like the look of this lava in the middle of nowhere. Does anyone see what we are looking for in the chasm?"

Kendren Nollt |

Perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (19) + 12 = 31
Kendren looked about.

Kendren Nollt |

"There's the entrance. We should be careful getting down there, however - it looks treacherous."
Climb to evaluate the difficulty: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8

Nuala Sataleeti |

Is there a visible bottom area that's not lava filled?
Assuming there is Nuala will burn a mythic point to cast Communal Air Walk on everyone but herself. 30 mins each of Air Walk
She has Overland Flight on.
"Let's go.."

Kendren Nollt |

"I wonder if her tomb always looked like this, or if this happened to it after the Worldwound opened?"
Kendren cautiously enters the room, looking around for any signs of demons or other foes who are after them.
Perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (9) + 12 = 21

Nuala Sataleeti |

Nuala casts Communal Resist Fire(20) on herself, Val and Mama.. Lasts 30mins.
Any checks on the crystal?
"Odd, I thought this was suppose to be a tomb.."

![]() |

"Whatever that weird thing is, I can go poke it with a stick and see what it does." Looking around, I see no sticks for poking with. "I guess I can use a disposable arrow to poke the thing or Val you can use your pointy striker to poke it. Or we can just leave it alone. Anyone see anything else to do in here?"
Where is the crystal thing on the map?
I fly forward a bit to see if there is anything around of interest in here and looking for traps.
Perception (Traps): 1d20 + 15 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 15 + 4 = 28

drbuzzard |

Oh, forgot a detail, it appears Jasker is lying atop the crystal.
The front of his armor is caked in vomit and his eyes are filled with exhaustion.
As soon as the possessed cleric notices the PCs, he stands up and faces them, speaking in a rasping voice: “I’ve only brought shame upon my family, my god, and all the people who loved and trusted me. You’ve come here to save me, but you’re too late. I’m done with this failure of a life, and now that you’re here to witness my end...”

Nuala Sataleeti |

So we know he is possessed or was that copy paste thing? If not is there a check? Sense Motive?

![]() |

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10 nope, he seems nice.
"Do you need any help with your end of life plans? Do you have whatever tools you plan to use or do you need a sharp blade? We are here to help, even if you just need someone to hold your hand while you do it."

Nuala Sataleeti |

He’s possessed!
She begins casting a spell.. Not sure if u want initiative at this point or not..
If so Init: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (12) + 11 = 23
