Nuala Sataleeti |

Just a heads up Tinnanth has fleet charge so spending a mythic point and they could have attacked 4 times not one..

Will Save: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 4 + 2 = 8
This is going to hurt.
Immediate action study target Nuala. Current studied target Nuala
Attacking Nuala.
Using +1 holy longbow cold iron durable arrows, ignore cover up to total concealment, does not provoke AoO if threatened.
Rapid shot, Clustered Shots, Studied Target, Point Blank Shot, Deadly Aim, Sneak Attack

to hit: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (14) + 16 = 30 damage: 1d8 + 16 + 3d6 ⇒ (2) + 16 + (5, 2, 2) = 27

Nuala Sataleeti |

It indeed would have hurt if she had used her swift on her turn. Lucky for her she didn't.. Also why are you saving at +4 when your stat says +6.. Also you need to work on that will save lol..
Before the arrows can strike Nuala instantly creates a shield of force around her, protecting her from the arrows.
Casting emergency force shield as an immediate action. It has hardness 20 and 90 hp so it takes 50 and is still up.

![]() |

Also why are you saving at +4 when your stat says +6.. Also you need to work on that will save lol..
Casting emergency force shield as an immediate action. It has hardness 20 and 90 hp so it takes 50 and is still up.
The save is +4 +2 so +6 total for now which is how I keep my stat line up to date. And yes my will save sucks but the GM knows who to pick on. ;)
Wouldn't the clustered shot destroy the shield as you would only subtract the hardness once?

Nuala Sataleeti |

Nuala drops her shield and casts Dispel Magic on Mama via Mythic Power..
Caster Level: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (10) + 9 = 19
Breach: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28 pretty sure this one will get it.
Also just realized she has done nothing to break her Invisibility yet.. So I guess Mama is really good at picking the right square..

Kendren Nollt |

Before rolling the Fortitude save...
As the wizard steps back, Kendren says, "You don't escape so easily!" and he steps with her and strikes with his sword.
Using Step Up and Strike.
Step Up and Strike, bloodrage, divine favor, smite, Mythic PA: 1d20 + 17 + 2 + 3 + 3 - 3 ⇒ (5) + 17 + 2 + 3 + 3 - 3 = 27
Destined Strike Reroll: 1d20 + 17 + 2 + 3 + 3 - 3 ⇒ (8) + 17 + 2 + 3 + 3 - 3 = 30
Damage, bloodrage, divine favor, smite, Mythic PA, holy: 1d8 + 7 + 2 + 3 + 9 + 6 + 2d6 ⇒ (2) + 7 + 2 + 3 + 9 + 6 + (1, 6) = 36
That counts as my AoO, so no AoO on the spell being cast.
Fortitude, bloodrage, Surge: 1d20 + 13 + 2 + 1d6 ⇒ (2) + 13 + 2 + (5) = 22

drbuzzard |

Actually if you were invisible, we can conveniently shift targets to Tinnath, thereby being correct and eliminating the character who left.
Tinnath is now down under 0 (which I prefer since I don't like running NPCs).
The dispel magic is still appropriate, and succeeds.
As for Kendred
image: 1d3 ⇒ 3 pop, spell still goes off. Save is successful.

Kendren Nollt |

I didn't get an AoO on the spell - Step Up and Strike gives me an attack that counts as an AoO. The spell was going to go off either way. My turn?

Kendren Nollt |

Already engaged with the wizard, Kendren attacked, hacking away with his sword.
Full Attack action - attacks count as cold iron and good for DR purposes.
Attack 1, bloodrage, divine favor, smite, Mythic PA: 1d20 + 17 + 2 + 3 + 3 - 3 ⇒ (7) + 17 + 2 + 3 + 3 - 3 = 29

Active Conditions:

See Invisibility (unless it's been more than 90 minutes)
Divine Favor (9 rounds)

Nuala Sataleeti |

That's fine, but she would have used the emergency force shield in that case. Which means she would have an additional standard action not having to drop the shield.
Previous turn standard. Mirror Image Images: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6 7 total of her.
Current round..
Swift action using Mythic Power to cast Dismissal on the shadow demon..
SR: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (11) + 11 = 22
SR: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (7) + 11 = 18
DC 21 will negates.
She will magic missile the caster as well.

Nuala Sataleeti |

She didnt have an extra standard.. She used a swift to cast dispel magic and then standard to cast mirror image since she didnt have to spend a standard dropping the shield.

drbuzzard |

OK, mention the action type on things. I don't memorize all the mythic rules, it's just too many odd bits.
image: 1d2 ⇒ 1 hit

Kendren lays into the lady, then Mama finishes her off.
will save: 1d20 ⇒ 8 fail
Combat over. That's what I get for not rebuilding the last encounter.
You are now tier 3.
The sword of valor is in here.

Kendren Nollt |

The caster finished, Kendren turns to face the shadow demon, only to find it no longer there. Though slightly confused, Kendren walks over to the banner. Once Nuala confirms it is the real Sword of Valor, he takes it and looks for a staff to put it on, to display it proudly and restore it to where it belonged in Drezen.
His sword hummed a horribly off-key heroic melody as he did so.

Nuala Sataleeti |

I'll make sure the list it better next time.
Nuala checks the caster for any magic items before heading out as well.

Nuala Sataleeti |

Id like the ring of protection if no one objects. If Kendren still needs a +2 he is welcome to it though. She will obviously stash the scrolls away.
"Let us leave this place and tell the news of it's cleansing.."

drbuzzard |

Actually you're supposed to occupy it and use it as a base for operations in the World Wound.
The Sword of Valor is helpful for that.
The Inheritor herself carried this crimson banner into battle during the Shining Crusade. An army commander who carries the Sword of Valor increases the DV and OM of her army by 4 against armies of undead or evil outsiders. Yet the Sword of Valor’s greatest power lies not in offense but
in defense. Mounted firmly upon an interior wall in a visible, public place, the Sword of Valor creates a 10-mile-radius area that bars demons and those who worship demons from using teleportation spells and effects and imparts on such creatures a –4 penalty to Armor Class and on all saving throws. Once per month while the banner is mounted on a wall, a worshiper of Iomedae within 30 feet of the banner can use it to summon a planetar to protect the banner and its surroundings for 1 day. Any nonevil creature that sleeps within a 1-mile radius becomes immune to fear effects from demons and demon worshipers for 24 hours.

Nuala Sataleeti |

Alrighty then.. Let’s set up base!
Since we are jn down time can she teleport to a city and buy/sell magic items?

drbuzzard |

Having secured Drezen, your crusaders are quite upbeat, and this spreads to the greater mass of the overall crusade.
In due course, after a couple of days of putting down minor troubles in the local environs of Drezen, you spy a large army on the horizon, as it approaches, you see that it's reinforcements and large logistical tail. They have come to restore the city and fortress to its former glory and to set it up as a keystone of the current crusade. The army leader presents you with a message from Queen Galfrey.
To the Heroes of Drezen—
Words cannot convey my gratitude for what you have done.
I wish that I could say the worst is over, but as you must surely know, the liberation of Drezen is but the first of many steps. You are poised to serve in a way that no others among the crusaders can match. Use Drezen as a base of operations. Set out to explore the Wounded Lands to the south and west for anything else we can use against the demons. You, being on the front lines, doubtless have already isolated several possible leads to investigate, but do not hesitate to consult those I have sent north with you. Sosiel, Aron, Irabeth, and the rest know much of the region’s history and legends.
Word of your success and Drezen’s liberation has already started to spread, and already I see the results in the faces of my soldiers. They fight with renewed morale. Our increased tenacity along the southern borders should keep the eye of Deskari turned away from you, affording you time to explore and investigate behind enemy lines. With your aid, I now feel that victory is finally something we can hope for. —Galfrey
What this translates to is that you have some sandbox time. You can ask around for what sites should be explored, as you have a few advisors present. You also have theoretical shopping time if you can teleport to a place with a market of consequence.

Kendren Nollt |

With Drezen secure, shopping completed - and full of beer and pretzels - Kendren approaches Irabeth and asks, "Irabeth, do you know of anything in the region that may pose a threat to Drezen?"

Nuala Sataleeti |

Nuala will visit Sosiel in turn.
"What can you tell me of the region's history and legends? Perhaps some almighty demon slaying weapon hidden in the cave perhaps?"

Valkyrie Stormseeker |

Coming with the large army is backup as well..
A slender young woman with a fiery demeanor and somewhat robust image of herself approaches the group..
"Queen Galfrey sent me as replace your fallen comrade. My name is Valkyrie, but you may call me Val for short. My sword is at you're disposal."

drbuzzard |

Answering Kendren:
Irabeth" "Actually, I'm not that familiar with the environs, but from what I understand there's a magical forge here which was used to corrupt holy artifacts and weapons. Could that forge be redeemed perhaps?"
Sosiel "I'm not really much of a scholar, being a priest, I tend to my devotions much more than any local lore. You might ask Aravashnial, as those arcane big brain people tend to clutch onto any bit of information they come across. "
I'll assume you go onto see him.
Aravashnial "Ah yes, we're in an area called the Marchlands. Things are a bit different now of course compared to the old texts which described the area, but I will offer what little I know. The Worldwound, being an outgrowth of the Abyss is subject to almost constant change and debasement. Any structure not actively protected by the forces of righteousness and order will decay with time, even stone. :
He pulls out a map which is obviously reasonably current. You have been to A, B, C, D, E, where A is Drezen, B is the cavern with a swarm (that you in theory fought), C is a lost chapel that you reclaimed, D is a small town you reconquered called Keepers’S Canyon, and E is a ford across the river that you also reclaimed and is staffed as an outpost with some soldiers of the crusade. Those are marked on your map.
He mentions there are some ruined towers which can be seen from a distance at F.
G is the location once of a former shrine to Erastil. You might want to ask local followers of Erastil about that.
"I don't really know much else about the area."

Nuala Sataleeti |

Any knowledge check on the redeem forge thing?
Let’s find some Erastil folks and then maybe check out them towers in the distance.

Nuala Sataleeti |

Arcana: 1d20 + 19 + 1d6 ⇒ (16) + 19 + (4) = 39
I can roll with Val as well if i need to.

![]() |

After we ask some followers that we find, I think we can head off to whichever area is closer next F or G on our map.

drbuzzard |

Give me gather information on the Erastil follower business.
The Arcana check is sufficient.
A successful DC 35 Knowledge (arcana or religion) check is required to even devise a method by which to redeem the corruption forge.
The first step is casting both dispel evil and dispel chaos—casting both of these spells on the forge within 1 round of each other causes the corruption forge to become magically dormant.
Once work begins on redeeming the forge, its actual redemption is handled similarly to the construction of a magic item. At least one person involved in the redemption must have Craft Magic Arms and Armor, Craft Wondrous Item, or Master Craftsman, and the process requires the casting of a hallow spell each day. Then you make a spellcraft or knowledge religion check to see if you make progress that day.

Kendren Nollt |

Kendren asks around for any Erastil followers and what they know about the temple.
Diplomacy, Gather Information: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (20) + 14 = 34

drbuzzard |

News of the desecration of the shrine of Erastil and the vanishing of its sole tender, Jesker Helton, has demoralized the crusaders and put them on edge. An investigation of Jesker himself in Drezen can uncover several clues, as determined by the result of a Diplomacy check made to gather information.
DC 10: Helton was a relatively young, handsome cleric who joined the Crusade because of his interest in the old Sarkorian worship of Erastil. He recently was mourning the loss of a precious heirloom: his mother’s wedding ring.
DC 15: There aren’t a lot of Erastil worshipers in Drezen, but those who are here all mention that the consecration of the shrine after so many years in demonic hands has been going slowly. Holy symbols often have become lost or damaged and mud stains have appeared on prayer books. Once during a sermon, a longbow hanging over the altar fell and broke. Jesker took these events in stride, noting that the shrine had spent many years in demonic lands, and that a few “unquiet echoes” were bound to remain.
DC 20: A few worshipers confess to encounters with Jesker that bordered on f lirtatious in an inappropriate way. These few parishioners describe Jesker as charming and kind—but then report feeling very uncomfortable about the encounter afterward. Other witnesses describe recent moodiness and depression. By all accounts this is a change, not Jesker’s normal behavior.
DC 30: Over the days leading up to his disappearance and the shrine’s desecration, Jesker was increasingly relying upon wands and scrolls to aid and heal the needy. He explained that he needed his magic to work a few final benedictions on the shrine to fully consecrate it. At the time, those he tended were too grateful for the free healing to question him.

Kendren Nollt |

"Something's happened to the priest, Jesker Helton. It's possible some demonic influence has corrupted him and messed with his mind. We should probably deal with the shrine to Erastil first."

Nuala Sataleeti |

"I can cast the spells required to make the forge go dormant. I will require assistance from someone capable of creating magical items to redeem the forge however."
She asks Aravashnial if he knows anyone capable of helping.
"We can certainly look into cleansing the shrine of Erastil as well.."

Nuala Sataleeti |

Nuala burns 2 mythic points to cast the dispels to make the forge go dormant. She can burn a 3rd to cast Hallow and start the process.
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (6) + 22 = 28 can surge if that's not good enough

Kendren Nollt |

Would she make it with an Aid Another? I can't do it, but I believe our new member could.

Nuala Sataleeti |

I dont think you can aid spellcraft.. Its fine she will buff before working on it again..

drbuzzard |

Checking out the chapel to Erastil:
If the PCs wish to investigate Helton’s shrine, they can with ease. The building is a humble wooden chapel with a stone foundation. Within, there are two rooms: a larger temple and a small personal chamber for Helton. Animal blood has been splashed about the shrine and its altar, and messages in Abyssal have been scratched into the shrine’s wooden walls. These messages are blasphemies and insults against Erastil, while smeared in blood across the altar’s front is the phrase “Just as Delamere now weeps tears of fire, so shall those who follow go to the pyre!” The statue of Erastil has been smashed to rubble.
