With her companions' fury combined with her own outrage at what they have found, Yrsa files into their battle line. I hope you are as comfortable with the absence of mercy as you claim to be. Her voice is shallow and even, it sounds almost like a prayer. Her hands tremble on the hilt of her sword. How can Korvosa be in such turmoil and expect to survive?
"Why it seems we will have to disagree! But it does not matter. Our work is nearly complete, isn't it Rolth? It is a shame that none of you will live to see what Korvosa will soon become," Dr. Davaulus says sadly. Despite the tension and anger in the room, Dr. Davaulus is perfectly calm. He could have been discussing the weather based on his casual, polite tone.
He draws a gleaming rapier and nods at Rolth. Rolth grins wickedly, revealing stained yellow teeth. The doctors and two other people - who seem to be dressed like beggars take note of the situation, drawing their own weapons - clubs and scythes, respectively.
Roscoe breaks his gaze from Rolth and looks to the nearest physician. Pushing his way past the others, the beast of Bosch growls even more deeply. The bone rattling warning filling the little room like a wave of feral fury.
Powerful jaws latch onto the unfortunate lackey's arm and wrench him to the ground mercilessly and two hundred plus pounds of dog and armor begin savaging the would-be healer.
Waiting to see what the deadly DR does, but if he attacks Bosch here is my move...

Typhon's attack goes wide as he attempts to take advantage of Roth's slow reaction.
Rolth points at Yrsa. A ghostly hand floats forward from his grimy sleeve. It grasps at her, but misses as Yrsa dodges out of the way. Rolth steps behind one of the robed men with the scythes.
The men with the scythes strike at Yrsa, but her heavy armor easily deflects their blows. The two Queen's Physicians swing their clubs at Roscoe while they remain silent behind their birdlike masks. But they have a difficult time aiming their attacks at the nimble dog.

Meanwhile, the scythe-wielding man in the ragged robes catches fire and falls to the ground, his charred corpse smoldering.

Whoops, Rolth had his spectral hand ready to go and directed it as a standard action. So he would have just taken a 5-foot step to get out of melee, but he would not have provoked since he was not casting a spell. I moved him to the correct spot.

Roscoe, currently atop the unfortunate lackey, shreds flesh and clothing with equal abandon until he hears his master's whistle. Looking up with blood on his muzzle, he turns and bounds to the indicated space, ignoring the feeble attempts by those he was terrorizing to stop him.
Roscoe leaves the Queen's Physician bleeding, but still alive on the floor. The other Physician swings his club as Roscoe bounds past, but misses.
Dr. Davaulus remains intent on attacking Bosch. Bosch can see fury in the doctor's eyes that was not there when he attacked Tessa. The hatred spurs him break through Bosch's skilled blocks and parries, allowing him to score another slice with the rapier. Bosch takes 9 damage from Dr. Davaulus

Tessa whoops as the horrid doctor goes down. She sounds like a log popping in a hearth. Scurrying across the room to get the angle right, Tessa judges that her friends will be spared from her flames, and unleashes another burning attack.
Magical energy flies through the room as Trey and Tessa unleash their spells. The two minions catch fire and burn to death. Rolth, being blinded by the chains, didn't even see the fire and holy beams shooting towards him. He slumps forward as he falls unconscious, but Trey's chains prevent him from falling to the ground.
Now that the battle against Dr. Davaulus and Rolth is finished, you are able to get a better look at the room. Eight metal beds occupy it. Six of them contain patients who look to be suffering from blood veil, in various stages. Rolth and Dr. Davaulus seem to have been knocked out, but not killed from the fighting.
As the strife dies down, the spirit of fire in Tessa's soul quiets and she's able to give voice once more. Wrinkling her nose in disgust at the foul people before her, she coughs out a little puff of smoke and sets to work securing the dead. Majenko perches on her shoulder, rifling through her satchel and handing up bandages as required.
Tessa is none too gentile as she binds the prisoners, a fierce look in her eyes. "Better treatment than these bastards deserve. I look forward to watching them dance on the end of a rope."

Ty watches Tessa tie up the Dr. and Rolth. Aye Tessa. Tho I was thinkin' more the end of me shiv." Not that I trust the Powers That Be to get it right. The Marshal ain't bad but the rest...
Tessa has no trouble binding the two men and finds several interesting things on the two of their persons.
Dr. Davaulus was carrying a few items, including a potion of remove disease, a +1 human bane rapier, a +1 mithral shirt, and an amulet of natural armor +1.
Rolth was wearing a cloak of resistance +1, a headband of intellect +2, a ring of protection +1, a wand of magic missile (caster level 3, 41 charges remaining), and was carrying a disturbingly large number of morticians tools - various scalpels, medical scissors, tongs, and the like. He was also carrying several onyx pieces worth 300 gold.
The six patients lie unconscious where they are chained to the beds.
A set of double doors leads west from the southern end of the room.
"Let's get the patients free and up the stairs before we sweep the rest of this place. I'd rather not inadvertently release some other danger for carelessness," Bosch says, staunching the bleeding from his throat with a calloused hand.
Trey notices that most of the patients fall into a peaceful slumber as Sarenrae's holy light heals the damage of the blood veil. Two wake up - an older man and a teenaged boy in a ragged Sable Company uniform. They look around in bewilderment.
Upon seeing Rolth and Dr. Davaulus bound and unconscious, and the group of friendly strangers, the older man thanks you profusely. He sits up on the edge of the bed as he speaks, as if he is too weary to get to his feet. "By the Dawnflower, Not sure how you found us, but thank you! You came just in time - I don't know how much longer I could last. I'm Olen Hanch."
