Yrsa Fallston and her Cousin/Mentor, Kreytor Fallston, moved to Korvosa when she was young and still learning her trade. Kreytor was old even when they first arrived, and he was ancient when he passed as Yrsa approached 75. His passing makes Yrsa the last living Fallston in all of Golarion, and while she has never felt particularly romantic, she is highly proud of her heritage and would like to see children and grandchildren someday.
The Fallston clan of dwarves specialized in the export of legal documents, the likes of which were as strong and enduring as any stone or metal work. This business was highly lucrative, as many new countries sought out their most prestigous for assistance drafting constitutions and even wizards and sorcerors purchased their expertise negotiating contracts with outsiders.
Despite their wealth, a decade of severe harshness involving an earthquake, a besieging army of orcs, and a vicious plague decimated their clan, and forced them to move to other lands, which has scattered the Fallstons, and the fates of most of the branches are believed ended.
Yrsa is ferociously proud of her people and clan, and this is part of why she has been so successful in her work. Every day is a crusade, and every single obstacle overcome is a great victory. She has even practiced the regiment of exercise and drills that the Fallston clan developed to keep their soldiers fit, which has earned her an auxillary position in the Korvosan guard when special deployments need to be made.
Yrsa stands four feet and eight inches tall and somewhat more lanky for a dwarf, a characteristic of her race that may be lost with the Fallston clan. She braids her long, wheat colored hair snugly at the beginning of every day, and this keeps her from worrying about obstructing her vision from her bright gray eyes and reveals the oblique features of her freckled face. She is stern in demeanor and unyeilding in her routine, which makes her seem severe to most others. Yrsa is deeply kindhearted, however, and is always willing to do what she can for others, even orcs, for whom she is still trying to overcome an innate distrust for. In this world of such easily defined differences, though, it can sometimes be easy to forget that in spite of different statures, colors, and beards, these are all individual beings, with their own lives and interests at stake. This is a principle tenant that she lives by, and follows with the penultimate reverence reserved by most for religion: everyone is created equal, and has inalienable rights of being, and not through strength of arms or serpentine tongue can any of these be taken.
