World of Warcraft Roleplay (Inactive)

Game Master brent brent

Using D&D 3.5 edition and the 3rd edition WoW campaign setting books.

I am trying to determine who and how many would be interested in the Revised Pathfinder edition of World of Warcraft Roleplay if I get enough replies we could have a game on our hands. Expecting at least 4 people.

So Pathfinder rules in Azeroth? Count me in. Will the campaign be through an Alliance lens, a Horde lens, or a neutral third party?

Interested, definitely want to know more. Time period, factions involved, etc.

BUT I ABSOLUTELY LOVE WOW!!

I've read most of the books, and have followed/played through the vast majority of the major quests, dating back to classic WoW. Thus, I have given myself, and had approved by friends/guidlies, the nickname, Lore Whore.

I am completely down for this. Being as I like Monkeygod have read most of the books and played WoW since vanilla. I am a lore junkie also diving back as fast as Warcraft (PC).

I might be interested in this. Is there an actual rpg book I should look at, or did you mean use pathfinder rpg rules in the "homebrew" wow setting?

Hoping it's a Horde campaign so I can play in a D20 RPG as a troll shaman, like I've always wanted to.

Its an actual book that is World of Warcraft roleplay. Just to make that clear

Silver Crusade

May I observe?

@Da GM do you have a link to the book? or know where I could pick it up?

I am sorry but I do not have a link to the book and I could the book at a used book store so I don't know where it could have originated.

WoW RPG

I own this one, which is the newer of the two. Not sure if this one will be used, or the 3.0 book, which I believe is just entitled Warcraft.

I guess it's a fair bet that we won't be using the Warcraft D20 material. Shame really.

I'd be up for this, either Blood Elf or Night Elf Mage would be my preference.

Can you post the ISBN so I can look up the actual book?

Would love this, but the whole problem of not having the relevant books etc.

Supposedly you can still get the books at drivethru rpg. Or you can go the more looked down upon route to obtaining them, as I am sure they can be found that way.

I would be interested in this, but I have the idea that this will be play by post, like all the other recruitments on this subforum. If that is the case, then my interest would be removed. Just thought I would hop in here to relay the first paragraph, and to find out if this is pbp or not.

Silver Crusade

I purchased my own book and the book of monsters a while ago. I even have More Magic and Mayhem. I wanted to use the latter in my regular campaigns (WoW 3rd party stuff is more balanced than other 3rd party stuff).

Just to make this clear the book uses 3rd edition Dungeons and Dragons rules (That are more or less the same as Pathfinder). Its a campaign setting revised to use Dungeons and Dragons 3rd edition. I will be using 3.5 or 3rd edition.

Hello DM Elton / Frogfoot (is awren)

3.5 Edition rule set? for a WoW look fun.

(i am curently Dm ing in 3.5 AD&D)

Count me in (provided you don't launch this in the next few day as i am busy with new job)

I'm interested in playing, pending setting and view. I was not a big fan after the whole Wrathgate patch and interest in the MMO went down hill since Cataclysm.

I am interested in either playing an orc blademaster or a centaur shaman/two handed warrior (Gelkis Centaur).

What do you all think?

I'm up for it. I've got the third edition book, not 3.5.

i am interested

Liberty's Edge

I would be interested in this as well. How do I get in

@Nor Minster- you must possess the third or 3.5 edition Dungeons and Dragons core rulebook and the World of Warcraft Campaign setting revised for a Dungeons and Dragons setting.
@Saronian- I am pretty sure it says the blademaster and shaman is a prestige class.

Sorry for the bump in recruitment, I had something come up. Just to make this clear make your characters starting at level 6 and you can use that towards prestige classes (Saronian). Everyone will start with exactly 4000 Gp. The monk class can be used even though the campaign setting says it doesn't relate to the game just saying but with mists of Pandaria the monk is a class which I find very funny.

I would also like to make sure who can participate in this campaign I just laid down my book requirements.

I've the 3.5 core rules, and the 3rd ed. campaign setting, so I'm in.
I will need to do some thinking as to what to do with class/race.

When the majority of the applicants have their stuff together I will close recruiting I am doing this only because there was some confusion as to the books required.

I am curious but has anyone yet thought of a goblin tinker or one of the classes designed for the campaign?

So guys sorry for the wait I got caught up in some videogames....Anyway everyone who is done with their profile and ready to submit please say so.

you still doing this?

Because not enough people joined i would have to say no and that it is inactive

I created this campaign a long time ago and I wasn't able to keep up with it. I've come back to it and am ready to begin. You should find all character creation guidelines somewhere in the above posts. For background stories im pretty lenient. Just explain your characters past, motivation, fears, hates, etc.

If you still have questions please ask

I'm in. I've questions, though.

1)How do we generate stats? 4d6 best three, point-buy, something else?

2) Will this be run in the 3.5 or 3.0 general ruleset? I'm awarethat we'll be using the 3.0 WoW book, but the other rules are important.

3) Can we use other sourcebooks than the WoW book in character creation? I have a rather extensive collection of 3.5 books, and would like to put it to use.

4) This relates to 3), can we use the reducing level adjustment variant rules if this goes 3.5e? Level-adjustment is really painfull: reducing it gradually is a great tool.

@The Dragon:

1→ You will use a 20 point buy
2→we'll be using just the 3.5 ruleset and adapt the 3.0 campaign setting for that. Sorry for any confusion.
3→No, just the WoW and Core rulebook.
4→I know I orginally said lvl 6 but im going to drop that to lvl 1.
Your starting gold will be the Max for your class.

I'm guessing you mean pathhfinder pointbuy, right?

I haven't read the WoW book but when making characters, do races matter? I mean for Alliance and Horde, or the players are outside the factions?

Um, Races do not matter however if you make an Orc and we have a human in the group there maybe some problems. Try to pick races that would most likely not be as hostile towards one another. Other than the obvious war they are fighting.

I'll be ending recruitment on the 25th at 10:00 p.m EST

@Lina : Yes, Pathfinder 20-point buy
