I just signed up - been waiting for an opportunity to play this in Standard mode. I'll see if the wife wants to play as well.

I am very thrilled to see so much activity in this thread. It gives me hope my plan here may work.

Do you want to join a GM Rotation and run some society games? It'll probably be Core and hopefully get some weird prestige classes eventually and focus on two or three factions.

If so click here and read a bit more about this amazing opportunity! One week to apply.

Yes, I'm succumbed and giving RPG Chronicles a try :)

I don't suppose you've got a thread set up yet (I can't find it, if so)?

Recruiting for #1-40 (Core, Tier 10-11) here

Still have spots for 2 more!

We currently have 3 sorcerers (one a Sor/DD) and a cleric.

Silver Crusade

Could the following PCs please report here for your delve into the Emerald Spire - level 6.

* Carlin Ember
* Black Sun
* Alecto

There is room for three more. Please don't let us have to drag Kyra kicking and screaming down there to join you.

The RPG Chronicles signup sheet is here.

Poor abused Kyra...

If needed I will do a replay to help out, but I'd prefer to allow others to play.

Just a couple of weeks ago (on my 2e game) in Abomination Vaults, Kyra was captured by a terrible aberration with a penchant for cruel experiments and spent several days in detention and suffering, giving life force drop by drop to some dark entity... She was rescued and is now undergoing rehabilitation. Don't make her go down to the dungeon again, please!

For just 37 copper a day, you can help a Kyra live the life she deserves.

I understand wanting to conserve replays, but I, for one, would be happy to see you onboard!

It looks like you have 5 players now and should be good to go!

Closing Weekend!
Okay GMs, this is the closing weekend for Outpost. Most of you have already wrapped up your games and reported by now (great job, by the way), but we still have about 30 games still going. Please wrap these up as soon as possible so your players can get ready for the next adventure.

Even if it looks like you won’t finish the gameplay by May 13 we are asking you to go ahead and report your games by the deadline so that we can finish up the admin stuff and close out the convention before Paizocon. Please help us by getting these last few games reported. Thanks again for stepping up to run games. It is greatly appreciated!

That's a Wrap!
154 games were reported, split almost evenly between GM Choice and First Come First Served recruitment. 60+ GMs ran the games and hundreds of players joined them. What a great turnout!

Once the last few games get reported, we will be mailing out randomly drawn prize vouchers, so make your offerings to the gods of chance, and may fortune be on your side.

We want to hear your feedback, so please fill out this feedback form. Let us know what you liked, and how we can improve in the future. This form is anonymous, but if you want us to get back to you, please let us know how (paizo forum message, discord DM, or email).

Feedback Form

(Yes, the form says Outpost VI.)

Thank you all for participating in Outpost VII - The Allies We Made Along the Way, and be on the lookout for the next PBP event, Gameday XIII, coming this fall.

Hey folks! I've got tickets available for my PaizoCon run of PFS1 10-09: The Rasping Rebirth. Seeker tier! Fight demons! Probably nothing unusual happening!

If you have a badge for PaizoCon, you can sign up >here< first, then dot in >here<.

Hope to see you there!

Question: Did I miss the announcement of PaizoCon PbP 2024?
Or was it never posted in this Lodge?
I wasn't able to find it...

The Silicon Valley Organized Play is offering a new run of the beloved Eyes of the Ten series again! There will be a rotation of GMs between VA Geoff, GM Nigel, and GM Colin to provide you with the classic 4-part Seeker arc.

The game will be on every other Friday starting from June 7th, 6:30-10:30PM GMT-07 (The same West Coast leisurely times as the games PDK posted above).

Details and signup info can be found in the Warhorn link below.

PFS S1-46 Part 1a on 6/7/24 by GM Geoff
PFS S1-46 Part 1b on 6/21/24 by GM Geoff
PFS S1-54 Part 2 on 7/5/24 by GM Colin
PFS S2-05 Part 3 on 7/19/24 If someone is willing to be the rotating GM for this part that will be hugely appreciated! (backup GM Colin)
PFS S2-22 Part 4 on 8/2/24 by GM Nigel

I wasn't able to find it...

I got an answer to this question via PM (on the same day I posted it) - I was informed that PaizoCon 2024 PbP was held exclusively on Discord.

So I did not attend PaizoCon 2024 PbP as I do not like Discord for pbp games. However, I would have happily joined a few tables if some games had been offered on the paizo forums.

Today I learned that there are/were several tables on the paizo forums - some Starfinder tables, a couple PFS2 tables, a Seeker PFS1 table, and one table for PFS1 #9-09: Beyond the Halflight Path.
This seems to contradict the information about the "Discord exclusivity".

Can someone with knowledge and authority tell me why the existence of these tables on the paizo forums (at least the PFS1) were a secret not mentioned in this lodge?

I thought the Convention organizers would want as many people as possible to attend, so I have no idea why this is/was happening.
Maybe some miscommunication?

I really hope there will still be some tables on the paizo forums at Gameday XIII...

The official sources from Paizo that discussed PBP did show these forums as an option, though it certainly wasn't prominent. I can scroll up and see the lack of announcement here about PaizoCon. I was one of the PBP GMs who was going to run here, including that seeker game (but none of my tables fired due to low attendance), and the forums were mentioned on the volunteer request form and on the relevant table listings at tabletop.events.

If someone was claiming it was Discord only, the online VOs should probably have a chat with them.

Thanks for your answer, cmlobue!

Well, now you know why there was low attendance at your Paizo forum tables: I - and probably many others - never got the info they existed!

(And I even asked here a few days before the games started - never got an official answer in this thread.)

Also, I do not have any Seeker-Tier character (yet), so I did not check out the game (PFS1 10-09: The Rasping Rebirth) you announced here in Recruitment...

I think I found the "someone" you mentioned...

On the official Homepage of PaizoCon Online (https://paizo.com/paizocon), if you click on the Button "Get Your Tickets today!" it takes you to this site: https://tabletop.events/conventions/paizocon-online-2024. There, the 3rd sentence reads as follows:

"ALL PaizoCon Online games will be run on the Paizo Events Discord Server: Join the Paizo Events Discord Server!"

The Paizo Forums are not mentioned there, either. So maybe the online VOs should have a chat with the authors of this site?

OK, I understand the source of confusion here. What they are actually stating is that the voice for VTT games will be on that server.

I don't think announcements were made to any of the PbP lodges, either here or on Discord. Gameday and Outpost are run by us (the PbP leadership), but PaizoCon Online is not. I can tell you for sure that there will be games here on the forums for Gameday as long as we have GMs willing to run them.

I can reach out to the relevant people so that hopefully in later years there is less confusion about this.

They can chat with me if they'd like. And I didn't "claim" anything; I merely showed kaervek78 the sites he's posted on here.

Last month, when no one answered kaervek78's query, I searched for info on PaizoCon 2024, saw the disclaimer about the games being run on Paizo's Discord Server, and passed it along to him.

My curiosity was piqued recently when I noticed in the 'Recent threads in Play-by-Post' there was a table with the label of 'PaizoCon 2024.' Hence my confusion and what initiated kaervek78's second query.

Yes, I can see the confusion happening here. I will bring it up to the Paizocon Online Organizing Committee to make sure they make the language clearer next year. I know internally they referred to Online (VTT) games and PBP games separately, and this is likely the result of that.

Thanks for bringing it up and helping to make it better for next year!

Thank you for your answers, Redelia and bigrin42!

Yes, that was the whole* intention of my posts: To clear up the confusion and make sure the communication is better next time.

*Ok, ok, before you start rolling for Sense Motive, I'll confess: I was also frustrated and needed to vent a little. ;-)

It happens to all of us. We won't ban you for that...

A post on each of the recruitment pages of PaizoCon 2025, assuming it still has PBP, would probably be beneficial. It doesn't have to be a big thing like Gameday or Outpost get, but something that says "hey, PaizoCon has PBPs here - check with them to volunteer to GM or get a ticket to play".

I will also ask that they mention the PBP part on the Blog, so it is visible to everyone (whether you check this thread or not).

THURSDAY JUN 20, 6:30-10:30PM (GMT-07 a.k.a. West Coast leisurely times a.k.a. after the kids are in bed at 9:30 on the East Coast)

Anyone willing to run a CORE version of #1-33 Assault on the Kingdom Impossible? I can run something in return. But not till like the 29th.

Low tier?

I'm willing to, if you can wait until mid-August (vacation in a couple of weeks, and I'll be opening up two slots by the end of the month). If anyone else can do it sooner, go with them.

This would be a Pathfinder Society Organized Play Core Campaign game, and you don't seem to have any PFS characters. If you're interested in that, there should be some guides for how to set up a character in the header; I'm posting from my phone now, so I'm unable to find them to link to.

At first I thought that is a 7-11 scenario, but it's actually a 1-5! why would you send low level character to assault a kingdom
I would like to join with my lv1 CORE wizard if possible :)

Hi, everyone!

The announcement thread for our next PbP convention can now be found here.

Silver Crusade

If my run of the Clockwork Maze finishes in time, I'll offer up Godshome.

Huzzah!

Hurray, another Gameday! I'm looking forward to this. My first PFS game was back in Gameday 5 with the Sky Key Solution special, and I loved it.

I am going to run 9-17: Oath of the Overwatched for Gameday, I think. I played it recently over discord and enjoyed it a great deal; I think this one would play well in a PBP setting.

Any requests for a CORE game in the 3-7 or 5-9 range?

No promises but I am considering running something for PbP Gameday XIII.

Sovereign Court

Doodle is core level 10 and I never have a chance to play her. If I could get a scenario, I’d be over the moon.
