Dire, just a suggestion, but instead of holding to the true initiative, how bout allowing people post their actions when they can and then write up a summary of what happened, including the opponents actions? it'll make combat move faster.

Generally I don't hold to true initiative what I do is separate it to those who go before the enemy and those who go after. The those who go before can post in any order and then the enemy goes and those after can go. This works very well when everyone is either before or after and not so well when only one person is on one side.
This actually works better with larger more active groups like my other game with 8 players. We may need to do something different here.
Maybe just take the average of the group initiatives rolls as the group initiative.

The campaign does have a somewhat slow start and I didn't handle the initiative in the optimal way for this fight I will modify that for future combat if we continue. Seems Ryer has gone missing and TLO3 isn't back yet. Unless we get another player or two we will need to give up on this.
I may try again later using the pathfinder conversion rules.
