FYI. This scenario runs long. At our pace we definitely won't be even close to done by the end of the gameday. We'll lucky to be done before the new year.

Sorry for the delay. In addition to my busy weekend, I had to do some digging through the rules.

My interpretation of what I read is that just as with the pre-remaster rules, attack roll modifiers like courageous anthem, do not apply to skill actions like grapple.

This was explicitly mentioned in the Core Rulebook FAQ, but I could not find anything definitive in the Player Core or FAQ. What I based my decision on was the rules section of attacks in Player Core 302-203, specifically on the last part of that section, "Compare to AC" suggests that if it doesn't target AC, then it is not an attack roll, but a skill check with the attach trait (meaning MAP applies). There are items that make exceptions such as the Shadow Signet, but they explicitly spell out that the check is still an attack roll.

It mattered in this case as a phistophilus has a Fortitude DC of 28.

If someone has seen something definitive from a rules source that says this has changed, please point it out to me.

Yeah. There is attack rolls and there is the attack trait. But Hirondelle would like the song that augment the athletics skill next fight.

Okay, gang. Looks like I'm going to be taking over GMing this one to the finish, if that's okay with all the players?

It's Tuesday, December 2nd, 2025. I'll try to be up and running as soon as I can, but in any case no later than this Friday (probably just later today, knowing myself).

I'm open to any suggestions and I would love it someone who knows can tell me how to actually take over the game threads and the RPG Chronicle sheet.

I suspect we may have to do up a new RPG Chronicle for this game.

For threads when I have taken over in the past I normally don't bother with getting ownership changed. It's not that important unless you need to edit the headers, and you can just keep using the same map deck.

You are likely right about rpgchronicles. One option may be to ask Mike if he could hit the "produce" button but send them to you.

Actually both Mike and Tarondor need to email Paizo Customer Service with the exact URL of the table. It will take a few days to transfer. (been there, done that).

RPG Chronicles -- we can either fill it in again or if Mike's a paid subscriber he can transfer the chronicle signup page to Tarondor.

The only other way is to ask Rox/Bigrin to go into the database and physically change it, which they have done only once (and told the asker never to ask again!) :)

Quick Update: I've downloaded the adventure and my printer is clattering away with it now. More updates tomorrow!

Another update: I've read the whole adventure now. Wow. That's the most complex PFS adventure I've ever read, even among higher-level ones.

Since the flow is decidedly non-linear, I can't just say "Oh, they've made to point X and will move on to point Y next." I'll need to carefully read everything you've done so far and note what you found and where you've been.

So tomorrow I will begin reading through what you've done and report back as soon as I have something.

Just so you know there is movement towards resuming the game.
