Female Human Cleric 5 / Divine Scion /3

We still going?

Yeah, I was hoping for something from Tristan.

Male half-elf witch 8; 50/50 hp; AC 16 (touch 13, flat-footed 15); Init +3; Fort +4, Ref +3, Will +6; Perception +12

Sorry, I've been mega-slammed lately. I think Tristan's holding. He can't curse that which he can't perceive...

You could try something not-curse related.

You know... like talking? =P

Male half-elf witch 8; 50/50 hp; AC 16 (touch 13, flat-footed 15); Init +3; Fort +4, Ref +3, Will +6; Perception +12

Bah, your Asmodean lies are wasted on me!

Tristan, where you at?

Female Human Cleric 5 / Divine Scion /3

Not sure if it'll matter, but I'm on vacation for 10 days starting tomorrow. Not sure what my Internet access will be like.

In one of those far too common ironic twists, it looks like the people I started this game for are the least interested. That said, I know at least a couple of you are still on board and I'm still excited about this game. I'm not ready to surrender.

Ember is out. I talk to her pretty often outside the game and it sounds like her heart isn't really in it. Lucius has become increasingly busy the past couple months. He's still around but he can't contribute as much as he'd like. Tristan is always busy (stop having a such a fulfilling life!).

I'd like to start increasing the tempo of this game and get things really moving. To do so, I think I'd like to bring at least one more person. What do you guys think?

Female Human Cleric 5 / Divine Scion /3

Personally, I think five is an optimal number, so I'd be for pulling in two replacements. I'm happy to suggest some folks if you'd like though I think you may have a stable of gamers yourself.

(I'm also willing to change characters if someone else is really dying to play a cleric/healer type.)

I'm okay with five but I'm going to count Lucius as still playing even if I do end up NPCing him most of the time. I'm open to suggestions for a replacement player.

Male half-elf witch 8; 50/50 hp; AC 16 (touch 13, flat-footed 15); Init +3; Fort +4, Ref +3, Will +6; Perception +12

I'm not always busy! But yeah, I have been pretty busy lately. I've been enjoying myself tremendously in this game and I'd definitely like to continue playing (if I can stay, of course). As busy as I am, I can certainly make time for this game. I think thus far I've been skittish about pushing things at the risk of dominating the conversations. I'm happy to change that if I've been playing it too safe.

Let me know what y'all think. :)

I'm not booting anyone, just being realistic about my expectations. You're welcome to stay as is Lucius. I'm just not going to wait as much for you guys in the future. A slow game is a dead game.

Init: +11, Perception: +18, AC: 24, HP: 68/68, Saves: 9/13/6

I am in. I can handle a couple posts a day pace. I really enjoy playing with you and I am sad I can't keep up in S&S. 2-4 posts a day should be no problem. I have dropped down to this game and only one other.

Init: +11, Perception: +18, AC: 24, HP: 68/68, Saves: 9/13/6

The other campaign is only one post per day.

RPG Superstar 2012 Top 16

Feral, if you have an opening for S&S, I'm dying to play in that game!

Chubs is still around. You're welcome to come back if you schedule clears up.

Sorry Mott, if I had known I would have offered but we already filled it. =(

RPG Superstar 2012 Top 16

Any luck finding a replacement for Ember?

Oh, I wasn't really trying. I was happy to move forward with four.

Did you want to add a 5th?

RPG Superstar 2012 Top 16

Personally, I think a fifth helps keep things moving. My feeling is I'm handling a lot more of the load if I have to DMPC one character when there's only four than if there's five, even though I know it's only a 5 percent difference statistically. It's completely up to you, though.

That's true.

I'll look through some names.

I sent out some PMs for new blood.

Any requests other than a rogue that can post regularly? =P

Female Human Cleric 5 / Divine Scion /3

Rogue seems like what we need most to me, though you can work around it. If you have someone who wants to play cleric-y type, I'm happy to switch. I tend to prefer rogues more.

Hello everyone! I might be the replacement player to be named later.

If it pleases the court, might I submit Silvio Gascon, a Forsaken elf raised among humans as a petty forger and sometime translator. I don't have a specific backstory for him, but I picture him as charming crook, a petty sort of fellow with no real great goals in the world. Still, he longs for something more and if the party is feeling heroic, he might be convinced to do something unselfish for the first time in his life.

Sovereign Court RPG Superstar 2010 Top 16, 2011 Top 32

No sir! Posting reg'lar, sir! (I was traveling this weekend. Save for Gencon, I should be back to normal now!)

DM, what should I do for traits? Are there campaign traits or just two of the usual suspects? Any restrictions?

Make it one campaign trait (from CoT) and one non campaign trait.

Anything's fine as long as it's not super broken or obscure.

RPG Superstar 2010 Top 16, 2011 Top 32

Okay, I should have a final profile and character ready within a couple hours then!

EDIT: I chose Forlorn and Conspiracy Hunter. I should be good to go now!

I loled at the avatar!

Female Human Cleric 5 / Divine Scion /3

Just FYI, I've been having Interwebs problems at home, so don't know if I'll be able to post Tuesday.

Female Human Cleric 5 / Divine Scion /3

FYI, I've got at least one person off the next two weeks at work, so I'll be a bit busier than usual. I still expect to be able to post daily (especially in the games I'm playing as opposed to running), but if you're waiting on me, that may be why (please feel free to DMPC me).

It saddens me to say it but I'm going to call an end to this campaign. I'd hoped adding new blood via Silvio would get things moving again but PBP momentum is a fickle thing and its not fair to anyone to keep things limping along on life support. Thanks everyone for your participation and I look forward to gaming with all of you again in the future (or continuing to game with some =P).

I'm going to leave the thread active for a few days so everyone has a chance to get the message.

Thanks, Feral. Sorry it didn't work out. Sometimes the devils win, I guess.

Heh.

I guess they can keep Westcrown. That city stinks anyway.

That's too bad. I'm sorry I couldn't do more to save you...

Init: +11, Perception: +18, AC: 24, HP: 68/68, Saves: 9/13/6

You are an incredible GM (& player). I am sorry I have not posted frequently. Ty for your time. My best pbp moments have been with you and Joy.

I've definitely enjoyed playing with you guys immensely (there's a reason I invited you!).

Male half-elf witch 8; 50/50 hp; AC 16 (touch 13, flat-footed 15); Init +3; Fort +4, Ref +3, Will +6; Perception +12

:( Perhaps it's for the best. I've really enjoyed playing with you all as well, but indeed, the swing of the game just didn't seem to take, despire our best efforts.

See y'all on the boards!
