            Sorry, too many magic items.
Basically, she's the daughter of a Varisian Harrower and a Chelish merchant from Korvosa. Things happen, that are NOT her fault. Like when they thought she kidnapped a child? How was she to know it was in the cart she had ... borrowed? And isn't it good that it was, considering what the tot told the city guard about what was in store for her if she hadn't escaped Davin Withers? Really, you could argue Alexicia was a hero. It certainly didn't mean the whole family had to up and move back to her father's family's home in Westcrown.
And she certainly didn't know the dice were loaded when she borrowed them for a game. But again, didn't that lead to discovery of a cult of Norgorber? You could almost say Desna was smiling on her, if she hadn't nearly died in that bar? But what was she supposed to do? He'd said she couldn't beat his throw and she was sure she could. If only her own dice hadn't been stolen from her earlier in the day...
And so on and so forth.
Basically, Desna's using her to do good, despite her own darn desires. Which are to have fun and live a life free of Hellknight (and certainly diabolic) interference.
Am trying to get the last details of magic items done now.

OK, probably want to tweak her magic items a bit more (get some consumables, plus maybe magic weapons...) but we should be good to start. I'll also try to write up a slightly better/more complete back story.
Going back and forth on her final feat as well. Selective Channel could be useful, but by going up in Divine Scion, her channel's not going up and her +1 Cha means she could only exclude one thing (though that could be enough when it comes to the BBEG).
I think that means Scribe Scroll will be more useful -- but I'm thinking that feels a little more forced in terms of the character, so I may go back to Selective Channel. Will try to decide that shortly as well.

OK, I think Aleixica's done except for actually writing up her background.
I ended up going with neither Selective Channel nor Scribe Scroll, as I didn't think either particularly fit her. Additional Traits, on the other hand, was perfect, as it let her get Stealth and Bluff as class skills and I see her as being good in both of them (I actually debated doing an opposite of Ember, and taking a level of rogue, but went away from that). I'm operating under the belief there are no favored class bonuses for taking prestige classes so am seriously hurting for skill points.
Magic items should be solidified too. Even though I didn't take the Pathfinder's Exile campaign trait (500 gp wasn't hard to spend at 8th level so it was kind of pointless), I'm sort of adopting the back story to give her a reason to be in the city. She -- ACCIDENTALLY -- got a ... friend ... in trouble with the Pathfinders and is trying to make it up to him by checking out Delvehaven.
Oh, and I need to pick a few spells she's prayed for. Will try to do that tonight.

I'll be pretty busy for the evening. I have to hit the gym, then I'm running the first session for my group's Legacy of Fire game for which I'm also cooking a themed meal (couscous, beef kebabs, date milkshakes with chai spices...). Busy night, but I'll check in when I can before 9 PST, then I starting DMing.

This is nothing, actually. Once we hit book two of Jade Regent, when the characters arrive in the Ulfen city of Karlsgard, I'm cooking Swedish dishes based on my immigrant mom's recipes and then when we arrive in Minkai we'll be doing Japanese food (menu still undecided).
I also have a background in dialect training and historical ethnomusicology, so historically and geographically accurate accents and musical selections will (hopefully) complete the experience.

Haha, sorry guys, but we're full-up at the moment. If we all ever game together IRL, I promise to bring themed snacks.
Chelaxian fare would likely be Renaissance Italian food, which I believe means no tomatoes since those came from the New World IIRC.

Alright, so I've got my Legacy of Fire game tonight which means cooking and prepwork and running it, etc.
Tonight's menu, for those of you dying to know, will include:
Dates stuffed with garlic-herb goat cheese
Falafel with tahini and tzatziki dipping sauces
Pine nut and olive oil couscous
White bean hummus with Indian naan
And returning for an encore performance from last week, vanilla chai milkshakes!

Haha, you all seem so interested last week, so I figured you'd all like an update...!
(I imagine lamb is probably a staple of Katapesh faire, but I don't really eat lamb and I didn't have time to slap together more than some appetizers this time around. I'm thinking kebabs will make an appearance one of these nights though...)

More like upset. I'm really not happy that we got ourselves into a situation where we are fighting angels. I thought the concept was to fight against devils instead and the evil of those ruling Westcrown now. Ember is fighting now to not get captured or anything, but totally not happy with this.
