If I saw right, then our whole group have communal prot energy (fire) up. If so, Zirul is using Detonate extract. If not, Zirul is striking against G4. Sleepy time for Zirul. Hopefully no more testing...

Zirul grins and begins to laugh, a deep-seated sound that has not come from him before. At least not that his companions have heard. "Besmara favors our crew, ladies and gents. Those who stand against us meet a most deadly end. May you now feel the fires of our vengeance!" With that short speech, he quaffs an extract, a fiery wave of energy extending out from his body, almost like a fire storm.

This deals the damage to all creatures and unattended objects within 15 feet (half with a successful Reflex save); from 15 to 30 feet, half damage (half of that with a successful Reflex save). Zirul takes half that. Thankfully for our group, resistance & immunity does apply, even for Zirul!

Two of Zirul's attacks pierce the big ape's hide causing move surprisingly messy wounds and three of Kal's arrows connect but seem to stick in its tough hide without causing much real damage.

Opal begins to chant, summoning additional aid from beyond.

The giant ape, wounded and surrounded concentrates.

And disappears from view.

Suddenly supernaturally dense fog rolls across the deck and a harsh voice fills the air.

"You think just because you've culled a few merchant vessels and taken on my crew, you're ready to take my crown. I've been the King for almost 40 years because I'm the best there is. I AM THE HURRICANE KING!"

A gunshot rings out but shooter remains unseen.

"Bjorkus, north and slightly east of you!" calls Kal. "Opal, can you get rid of this fog?"

He waits for Opal to work her magic before he decides on a course of action.


"I can try", Opal shouts through the gloom.

After finishing her summoning she produces a wand and gestures creating a gust of wind that begins to sweep the fog away.

It'll take a full turn to disperse.

Appearing alongside Opal is an angelic figure with elven features and broad feathered wings. The azata flies over to Zirul and touches him with a spell.

Cure: 3d8 + 6 ⇒ (1, 6, 6) + 6 = 19

Bjorkus, Luthor, Zirul, and Kal are up.

Zirul gasps, feeling the blood spread outwards from his body, shock attempting to take over his form as he is so deeply wounded. Feeling the healing coming from summoned creature. The gasp leads to an uncharacteristic grin, as the threads of the jacket he wears glow momentarily, vitality surging back through the doctor's veins.

Zirul looks to where Kal is pointing. If he can determine, he'll try to close distance and attack

"The ape isn't far."

Turning his attention to Bonefist, the minotaur lowers his horns and charges.

Kal conjures a burst of clinging spellfire over Bonefists's location.

The Hurricane King curses as he's revealed by the brightly colored flames and curses again as the minotaur slams into him with crushing force, driving his horns deep into Bonefists's side.

"You'll pay for that..."

Vanishing into the fog, Bonefist appears in brief flashes firing his exotic weapon at strategic locations.

Air-Kal's ray hits Bonefist but he shakes off the worst of the effects.
