ye, I am suffering from alias bloat atm. >.<
Start worrying about that when you catch up to this guy.

O dear lord that's a lot lol.
also, something else for my background I've added GM.
-What is your relationship to the gods and religion?
Who needs it? I have arcane power at my finger tips, I didn't get it from the gods. Besides, who needs limiters like codes?
-Do you have an easy way with strangers?
Oh hell yea. Meeting new people is plenty of fun, and you never know who you may be meeting. Couple of smooth words, a kind compliment, and boom. Puddy in your hands.
-Do you play well with others?
Usually, though Often I convince others to play well with me instead haha!
-What draws you to the life of an adventurer?
Excitement. I love a good book or arcane lore as much as anyone else, but there is just something about not knowing where you are going to end up next that gives life some... spice. Besides, who's to say what you may just find. Plenty of the tomes we have came from some adventurer or another. Some old crypt or tomb of sorts.
-Do you identify with a particular animal or element?
No, though I do love Snow, my Ermine. She's Literally a part of me now haha.
What do you find creepy?
People that can treat their own family as test subjects.
-What specific goals do you have, if any?
Ohhh I don't know, master my arcane gifts, topple the current main branch of the Lotheed family...topple the traditionalist dynasty that has permeated in Taldor for so long and bring a new glorious change to it. With my new and improved Lotheed family as a fore-runner of course.
-Do the ends justify the means?
Often times, yes. As I said, who needs limiters like codes or morals. If the job gets done, it gets done.
Loyalty, or Honesty?:
I guess Loyalty, as long as you prove loyal to those you pledge to,People will see you as trustworthy haha.
Compassion, or Justice:
Justice, with a smidgen of compassion.
Love, or Fear:
Love. After all, whats life without a little love. Besides, fear is overrated and some people react to fear violently
Obedience, or free thinking:
Free thinking, Obedience is only for those too stupid to think for themselves. Obedience is slavery, and to hell with slavery. TOO HELL WITH IT.
Pride, or Greed:
Pride, I am proud of my accomplishments. My pride can be a source of strength. However, greed, can only bring about destruction of oneself. Excess desire of anything, can lead to dark paths. Greed has corrupted this city to the point that it may be beyond help
Group, or Individual:
Individual, the world is made of individuals, some are more important than others, and besides, if individuals are taken care of, the group as a whole will be as well.
Kunala |
Apologies folks, but I am going to need to sleep on it at this point. Struggling to decide with so many great entries and its half four in the morning here. I really wish I felt able to run 2 tables.
It sounds like the competition is tough. I hope I'm not too late, I will put more on his page, but this is Kunala's backstory.
good luck everyone.
Sir Ashoka Varima the third born son of a lesser nobleman, earned his knighthood as a mounted knight-captain of a Taldan Phalanx. It was shortly after that time that his father arranged a marriage to Lady Trina, a young woman from a minor noble family. She was intelligent, strong willed and a beautiful dancer. They lived happily in the ‘Worldbreaker' Hill district in Oppara. Soon, they were blessed with two children; first their daughter, Padmavati and a couple of years later, their son Kunala.
When Lord Varima wasn’t with his unit handling military responsibilities, he was home doting on his wife and children. He loved spending time with them playing board games and going to different restaurants in Oppara; introducing the children to different cuisine. He would spend time with Kunala playing strategy games, taking him hunting with the dogs and teaching him how to use a falcata, the weapon of the Rondelero. Occasionally, Lord Varima would throw parties, inviting other military officers and their wives, just so he could show off what a good dancer his wife, and later his children, were.
Lady Trina would spend her time taking care of the household responsibilities, supervising the staff and teaching the children proper behavior for Taldorian nobles. She especially enjoyed teaching them to dance, and they were introduced to her instructor and coach Archirel Destrie at an early age. Archirel kept a dancing school in the Senate's Hill District where Lady Trina and the children would walk to every day.
When Kunala and Padmavati first started lessons with Archirel, Kunala didn’t think he would get the hang of it. He had mastered courtly dancing; his small wiry frame fit the spins and turns well. But Master Destrie expected him to perform lifts and throws. These seemed difficult, his partner being two years older and Kunala was slight; to the point that other children would chase him and Padmavati had to come to his rescue. Eventually, with much practice and strength training, Kunala was able to do the lifts, and perform with his sister. Master Destrie, their mother and father were all very proud of them.
That same year their lives were devastated. One summer evening, while Lord Varima was with his unit patrolling beyond the bridge, there was a fire in the villa. They believe it started in the kennels, but no one is sure. They just know that Lady Trina had woken the children and sent them out, but she went back in to salvage something and got caught in the fire, dying of smoke inhalation. The neighbors and their servants scurried to stop the fire from spreading but the damage was done. Their lives were in ruin, their home gone, their beautiful mother dead.
Their lives went on, but Ashoka was not the same. He moved the family into a small rented house, barely enough space for a junior officer. Padmavati and Kunala continued their dancing lessons, it was the one thing of their mother that Lord Varima was able to hang on to. But he would spend most of his time with his unit, sinking himself into his career. Padmavati took over the responsibilities for the small home and Kunala would help where he could. It was rarer and rarer for father to spend time with them. Gone were the days of play board games or hunting, but Ashoka, when home, would instruct Kunala with the falcata. Saying ‘a man of Taldor must be able to defend himself.’ Fortunately, Master Destrie felt sorry for the children and he would spend time with them in the evenings when their father was away, teaching them things that they would need to know living in Oppara.
Father continued becoming more and more distant, the only time the children would see him smile was when he would watch them dance. That was also the only time they would see him cry. Padmavati and Kunala grew even closer and relied on their mentor Master Destrie. Soon he was using them to train younger students and as partners for private dancing instructors with richer and more famous senators and nobles children.
Five years after their mother died, calamity struck again. Padmavati and Kunala learned that their father had died in a skirmish fighting bandits a few miles outside of town, on the other side of the Grand Bridge of the Empire. To make matters worse, they learned the news four days after the event, from the land lord of the property they were living in. The owner had little pity or patience and less time. They were forced to gather the belongings they could carry and were put out on the street. They both quickly grabbed their few belongings, Kunala added his fathers dueling gear to his pack, while Padmavati found their fathers cloak pin, that had the family crest on it, that he wore for special occasions. The landlord told them the other items would be sold to cover the cost of their father’s debt to him.
Their father had been considered a black sheep of his family, they had only met a few relatives when their mother was alive, and none since; so, the children were literally out on the street. Not knowing where to go, they went to the only adult they knew they could trust, dancing Master Archirel Destrie. Archirel let them move into the attic of his studio. He increased the amount of time they helped instruct, and he found times and places they could perform. They were making ends meet and were developing a name for themselves in circles where dancing was popular. This popularity unfortunately got the attention of a not so distant relative.
Early one morning while they were training the very youngest class, Master Destrie, came in the classroom and dismissing the children telling Padmavati and Kunala that they had a visitor waiting to speak to them in his office. The irregularity of this was not lost on them as they went to the office to find a very well dressed middle aged woman waiting on them. She introduced herself as Countess Varima. Her husband, the Count, had heard about these wonderfully talented ‘Varima’ children and wanted to learn more.
The Countess explained that they had investigated the children’s history and had learned their sad story. That their father, was the Counts nephew, and that their grandfather, the Counts brother, was dead. This making the Count their guardian. She also explained that their father had left a great debt which would need to be paid. She smiled and explained that the simplest way for that to happen would be to marry Padmavati off to a wealth husband. Padmavati handled the news maturely, she was almost at her majority and understood this was a noble woman’s responsibility to her family. Kunala was not as mature and said some things to the Countess that Padmavati said he should regret, though he never did.
The next time they saw the countess, she had information about three possible suitors for Padmavati to meet. A very old senator who had outlived his third wife and was looking for a fourth. A fat middle aged Marquess whose fort was near the border on the Whistling Plains, who happened to be in the city to find a wife. The third was the oldest son of the Viscount of Golsifar a small port city. Their family had been raised to nobility four generations before, and they wanted to marry into one of the larger Noble families for prestige.
After meeting the three men, Padmavati agreed to marry the young Golsifar. The wedding had been five years ago. Padmavati’s husband, Lord Jalrune, had replaced his sick father as the Viscount of Golsifar. The couple had three beautiful daughters and the young Viscount, in his desire to please his wife and demonstrate the family’s cultural growth, had become Kunala’s Patron.
Kunala, now twenty-one, because of his outburst at the countess, is not in the family’s good graces. Refusing to move from Oppara, he decided to continue living in the attic at the dance studio. He still works with dancing Master Archirel Destrie; teaching all the large classes and doing a lot of the private tutoring. Without a fulltime partner, he no longer competes in dancing contests, but he had taken up dueling to deal with any perceived slights. He has also become involved with the liberal political movement that desires to change the laws concerning women and their rights, he feels he owes it to his sister for what she has done for him and because the laws are unjust. He may not be able to change Padmavati’s options, but he might be able to change Taldor for his nieces.

Right, firstly thanks very much for your time and patience, many of the entries were superb, and in the end I basically had to use the Pheobe Buffet method to decide - ask quickly and give an immediate answer.
In alphabetical order selections are Amandine Santon, Chiara "Chana" Durante, Damrak Lendar, Khalil al-Shirin, and Olivia Vernisant. I will be sending out PMs shortly :)
If anyone drops out, or I do find myself with time enough to run another table I will PM people from this thread, as there are a number of characters I am gutted not to have been able to include.

A little investigator told me you may be looking to replace some errant players on your War of the Crown game.
Well, I'd like to introduce you to Roscianus Kastner, paladin of Shelyn. He's from one of the Old families, and had barely escaped Stavian's Purge at the Senate building. His 7th level feat is currently Noble Stipend, but can changed to Coalition Leader if needed for the campaign.
Thank you in advance for your consideration.

Amadine and Dro’gan advertised the openings in our other game, and I’d be interested.
I don’t have any character built yet - I’d rather learn more about the current situation and what kind of plot hooks would bring new characters to the party. (I’m not familiar what happened in book2, but I think I’ve been spoiled the ending of book 1)
I trust social combat is a thing in this campaign?
And are the traits in the Players guide still valid?
DeathQuaker RPG Superstar 2015 Top 8 |
Hi, I spoke to DM Vayelan about possibly joining in this game.
I have a character I built for two other War for the Crown recruitments: Naliah Lotheed. Please note she is missing a trait, and her gear is unfinished/not calculated correctly (it was originally built toward 5th level WBL and I threw a few things in but have not recalculated how much everything is worth. Also, yes, she has a crossbow and no bolts. That will all be fixed if she ends up joining you).
I've leveled her to 7th level (Sniper Slayer 6/Unchained Rogue 1); she is primarily a ranged focused character but can switch hit as needed, and is skilled in poison use. She is designed very much to be a spy/assassin who blends in at gatherings/parties of the nobility, so she depends a lot on easily concealed weapons and implements and looking like a total doofus while plotting someone's demise or gathering information. The idea is she may have been working for her cousin Martella Lotheed for awhile and has been a pawn put in place to spring into action when needed. I can adjust the build as needed, and if the idea for her works at all.
I have War for the Crown (I thought I even worked on it but looking back I didn't) but barely remember it. I would need to know where she's coming in and what she might know about the current situation (I can read through your thread, and the first book, but a summary of what is relevant to a new PC joining would be helpful).
I've PMed the GM some additional questions and concerns but wanted to post the build and concept to see if this would potentially work. I look forward to the possibility of joining but understand if it doesn't work out.
DeathQuaker RPG Superstar 2015 Top 8 |
Hi, updated Naliah with some corrections, added trait, and fixed her gear. I wasn't sure what to budget her gear at, so I assumed WBL for one level lower (6th level), understanding that often in practice PCs end up with less gear than is often planned.
Thoughts welcome. I recognize I went crazy hard on the whole hidden weapon theme so if it's too niche I can adjust.
DM Vayelan |
Hello, everyone. Thank you for your interest. Time to answer some questions.
@DeathQuaker - You can build your characters using the WBL for level 7. Given that a very large Ironfang army was just routed at Longshadow, there are plenty of spoils to be found, so it makes sense for potential PCs to have more wealth rather than less.
.....
@Karma - Here's a quick recap: In Book 1, the party led an exodus from a small town's festival as the Ironfang Legion begins its invasion of Nirmathas. In Book 2, the party established refuges in the Chernasardo Forest, eliminated Ironfang outposts in the forest, and recruited the famed Chernasardo Rangers as personnel in their budding resistance against the Ironfang Legion.
In Book 3, which we just completed, the party prepares the mining/industrial town of Longshadow for a siege by the Legion, building up the town's defenses, recruiting allies, and sabotaging the Legion's units ahead of the siege. Ultimately, the party managed to win the siege with the highest tier of victory, as determined by the number of Defense Points the town has remaining at the end. At the start of Book 4, the party is getting ready to venture into the Valley of Aloi to investigate the Legion's morlock allies and tunnels that supposedly lead to the dwarven sky citadel of Kraggodan.
There are a few potential hooks to bring in new characters:
*You might be locals to Longshadow or the Hollow Hills (or just travelers through the area) who got drawn into the defense of the town.
*One of the Longshadow landmarks is the Hunter Bureau, a tavern-lounge-guild for hunters, trappers, and adventurers in the area, so your character might be affiliated with them.
*The mayor of Longshadow is a retired adventurer, so your character might be an old party member or acquaintance of his, recruited for this next mission as a favor.
*One of the allies recruited for the battle was Navah, a reclusive wizard and former party member of the mayor. Your character might be an acquaintance or correspondent of hers, perhaps investigating the mental condition afflicted on her by a recent monster attack.
*You might be affiliated with the Chernasardo Rangers or one of the other Nirmathi militia units that are trying to fight back against the Legion's invasion.

Wow, am I a dummy. Please ignore all that. I got confused and posted a summary of my Ironfang Invasion campaign, which has also recently recruited some new players.
Behold, the effects of exhaustion from raising two small children upon a GM's brain.
I'll make a new post with the actual, accurate summary of the correct campaign.
DM Vayelan |
Anyhow, the CORRECT story so far:
After surviving the massacre at Senate Hill during the Exaltation Gala, the party is recruited by Martella Lotheed, spymaster for Princess Eutropia, to act as agents for their Loyalist faction, attempting to secure the throne for the princess during the succession crisis.
Having recently secured the Palace of Birdsong and the counting County of Meratt as a base of operations and source of revenue for the Loyalist faction, the party has now been sent to Yanmass to investigate a number of strange happenings around the city.
Here are some of the leads that the party is currently investigating, which might serve as hooks:
1) A unit of the Taldan Horse has gone missing
2) The region around Yanmass is being plagued by Qadiran bandits
3) The people of Yanmass are being plagued by disturbing nightmares
4) There are rumors of "secret masters" using mind control to influence people in the city.
5) A cult, called the Cult of the Twilight Child, is operating in the city, and apparently worship the reborn Prince Carrius, brother of Princess Eutropia.
TheWaskally |
If I could choose, I'd like Roscianus to be aware and already working with Martella's underground network, and then meetting the current party.
Amandine Santon |
Hi everyone, I apologize for leaving y'all hanging for awhile without any response.
I'll try answering a few of the questions you've asked given this caveat, they are my views and opinions subject to Vayelan's final word on any subject, and Dro'gan's correctives if he disagrees with me.
Vayelan summarized what the party is occupied with above. This new book looks to be something of a sandbox adventure, at least for the moment. If you would like to link a character in some way to any of those plot hooks, it would work.
I also think TheWaskally's idea could work as well. The party isn't a group of freelancers who are loyal to Princess Eutropia. We are essentially in the employ of Martella's Lotheed, who is the Princesses's right-hand person. It might be that Lady Martella reallocates personnel to other tasks or missions and she is sending moves some of the old characters to other places and things while sending replacements to us in Yanmass.
Currently the party consists of a Bard and an Investigator. We probably don't need another skills-centric character. But that said, so far at least the campaign has involved a lot of skills use and social situations so even if a character isn't a skill monkey or face character, it's probably good to be decent, or not bad, at some skills. This isn't the campaign for dumping charisma to boost strength, etc.
My character Amandine is a Psychic Detective Investigator, and Dro'gan casts using the Bard spell list. New arcane and divine characters are both very welcome.
We also need combat capable characters. The last book wasn't particularly combat-heavy, but things could always change. Book 2 was intrigue-heavy, and our tactics were generally to use combat as a last resort. We may not have the option to do that going forward, my feeling is we won't to able to. My character Amandine has a Swashbuckler dip, but she's still a wuss really. Dro'gan probably does better in a fight, but at the end of the day he's a Bard. A full-BAB character or two would be great.
-Karma-: I think the campaign traits are still valid. They aren't aimed specifically at anything that happened in Books 1 or 2. Some of them even have some scaling built in so they get better with increased levels. They also tend to give skill bonuses and/or make skills in-class that are important (K Nobility matters in this game!), so picking the right campaign skill can help makes classes that don't normally worry much about social skills or intrigue work better in this game.
Also -Karma-: Do you mean does this AP use social combat in the wide sense, yes it does. That's what we were using in Book 2 to avoid physical combat. If you mean any of the specific riules systems like those for verbal duels, I'm not sure. We did defeat the BBEG in book 2 using a verbal duel. But, I think Vayelen added that option because we wanted to try to convince him to surrender if we could.
-Karma- |
Amandine & DM Vayelan thanks for the answers, getting some clarity now. And no worries about the confusion - I still remember the constant brain fog when the kids were young :)
Looks like there’s already two (almost) full-BAB’s presented, but I suppose the party could use a touch of divine magic as well. Inquisitor of Desna to investigate and put an end to the nightmares, or of Abadar dealing with the mind-control rumors. Could be built ranged, melee, or monster summoner, whichever supplements the group best.
From full casters Asmodean Advocate could be lot of fun for intrigue stuff, but not sure how other party members would feel about one (especially paladin)
Amandine Santon |
Again, my opinion because Vayelen or Dro'gan might disagree. You see Amandine has been handling strategy and she's a detail-oriented workaholic without a well-developed sense of humor (Does his sound like a fair description Vayelen? Dro'gan?). :p
When it comes to character choices, familiars, and so forth, keep in mind that Taldor is an overwhelmingly human nation in terms of population. It is an ancient and firmly established civilization where tradition matters, and where the rule of law is enforced. It is not the "wild west", and it is not a place like Varisia or the River Kingdoms, where cities and towns are islands in what is otherwise more or less wilderness.
Also remember that we routinely meet, mingle, and attempt to influence officials and aristocrats. The party is very much in the public eye. Maybe a good test to use would be something like this: If a choice would be embarrassing, awkward, or detrimental to the character's or the party's image when attending a black-tie event, it's probably not a great choice.
Amandine Santon |
It would probably help to read the gameplay thread to get a feel for how the social and skills focused social encounters tend to work, but the gameplay thread is something like 80 pages long and nobody should have to suffer through all that. But here is a link to the beginning of the big social encounter, the Tanager Jubilee, that opened Book 2. Reading through some or all of the Jubilee part should give you a fairly good idea of what's involved.
Not all of the game is like these encounters, but they have come up with some regularity, and they tend to be fairly high stakes. Here's a link to just before the Jubilee starts:
I know it can be difficult with some classes, especially those that have low skill points or don't make use of Charisma, to make them fit this kind of situation. But there are ways to build around those problems some if you want to play a class that is hard to fit.
-The feats Fast Learner and Cunning give an extra skill rank per level if you can fit them in.
-Being Human for the extra skill rank, or getting Intelligence up to 12 can help as well.
-Some classes have archetypes that are designed for "intrigue" games, Ranger has the Dandy archetype for example, and there are some for a few other classes as well.
-There are some traits that switch social skills from CHA to another ability. Student of Philosophy and a couple of others switch to INT. Empathic Diplomat switches to WIS. There may be others as well; that's off the top of my head. None of them are as flexible as CHA, or cover all the CHA skills, but remember the party also has 2 skills characters. If you want to be stellar at social skills, etc. great! But we're asking for decent, not stellar.
KoolKobold |
My half elf’s wizard’s Skill Focus bonus feat will absolutely be put towards Diplomacy. Student of Philosophy seems to only affect Diplomacy to persuade others and not Diplomacy in general, but that is definitely a good option for him. Since Fast Learner’s prerequisite involves being human, could a half elf take that? The plans for this character is to be a blaster in battle, but outside of battle, one who might seem uptight but holds a lot of knowledge, as well as good social skills for a pleasant conversation.
As for the familiar, it’s fine if Compsognathus isn’t a good thematic choice, I’m fine with figuring out a better pick. Since it looks like the party is at level 7 though, that could be a chance to get a clockwork familiar with Improved Familiar, though again I’ll look more thoroughly for a proper choice.
Amandine Santon |
TheWaskally: We had a Paladin in the party for quite a long time and it worked out just fine. But, that's because we had a sort of a workaround. The party's job is to get our hands dirty so Princess Eutropia doesn't have to be associated with such things. She can stay above the fray. We do bad things sometimes, we do dishonest things all the time. We managed the Paladin by going behind her back so she wasn't directly involved and didn't know about much of that side of things. Maybe your Paladin is equally naïve and can keep his very pretty face averted when it's needed?
Ironperenti: Maybe you dotted in? A search only turned up your one recent post.
-Karma- I think an Asmodean Advocate Cleric would be a bit too much. My character is a Milanite but that's not the main issue. Princess Eutropia having a representative who is an Asmodean priest would be an awfully bad look for her. We're not the only side playing dirty after all. Propaganda is a thing, and public perception matters.
The Cardinal archetype for Cleric gets 6/level skills. A Herald caller Cleric gets 4/level. Also a Cleric is a full caster so maybe there are spells that help?
Inquisitor works very well of course. The Conversion Inquisition switches WIS for CHA for all the social skills.
Critzible: Yep, Cardinal Cleric of Shelyn works.
Ouachitonian: We had an Urban Barbarian in the party until recently and it worked well. The Ulfen Guard is a big deal in Taldor, and applicants aren't a rarity. Maybe take a look at the character who's been in the party for some ideas? Same with Bloodrager.
KoolKobald: Maybe a kitty cat or a thrush? As for a half-elf taking fast learner, that's a rules thing so Vayelen would need to make the call. There is a half elf feat called Human Spirit that does the same thing as Fast Learner.
TheWaskally |

Roscianus is a paladin to a neutral good deity. He understands that sometimes one must be unlawful for good to flourish.
I look forward to Critzible's Cardinal Cleric of Shelyn submission.

Okay! Naliah is updated once again, with 7th level WBL and some minor corrections.
The dip into unchained rogue is a brazen way of getting various things I felt suited the character--Weapon Finesse, hand crossbow proficiency, Sleight of Hand a class skill, an extra die of sneak attack--in one level rather than several with various feats, etc. She will largely level as a Slayer. Again she has a ranged focus but should be able to switch-hit if needed and would be a good flanking partner should close combat come into it. Studied Target and Sneak Attack should boost her attack and damage as well more than her straight combat stats may suggest.
She's also got a bunch of skills, but I feel like with social challenges/combat and the party potentially sometimes splitting in certain scenes that will be less overlap/toe-stepping and more covering of bases and opportunity for Aiding Another. Her studied target ability also applies to many social skills as well so that can be handy.
The pitch for her entering the story is that Naliah is an informant and assassin working for Martella Lotheed (they are second or third cousins). She has worked very, very hard to establish a reputation for herself as a total dimwit not worthy of notice by anyone sensible, so it's possible she's even been at some events the party has been to (during the game or prior) but just not given reason for them to notice her--thus far--as someone worth their time.
I almost thought about dipping some money into paying for her to have a lady's maid, as would be appropriate for her class and station, but I feel like managing an NPC amid all the other NPCs in this story is just too much and I don't want to have to manage it. But maybe her lady's maid died and her brother won't pay for a new one or something.
DM Vayelan |
So is there recruitment going on or is it only for those invited? I must have put in a character in the original or at least looked at it because it is popping up in my feed.
It's also possible that the forum notifications were acting weird. Oddly enough, I wasn't getting notifications about the recent posts here in the Recruitment thread until I made a new post, and I'm the dang GM.
Anyhow, this started as an informal, limited recruitment via invite because I wasn't feeling up to running a formal recruitment (tired dad, as mentioned above).
That being said, I'm certainly not going to turn you away, so if you want to submit a character idea, go for it.

GM Vayelan, if you don't mind my suggesting... since people are posting here and more people are noticing, you may want to set a deadline for submissions for yourself and others so you can select who you want to join the group within a reasonable timeframe--and, moreover, not get overwhelmed with submissions. :)

Awesome, appreciate the consideration! Yeah was mostly trying to bang out something complete, could fill small niches in the party without coming in and taking anyone elses spotlight.
I haven't done items or equipment, I was sure how the GM wanted to handle that or if we should just go off the wealth by level table.

I have an idea for a Cardinal Cleric of Shelyn. She was a dancer who thought to join a caravan as a fighter, having trained to do so. Unfortunately she was grieviously wounded [lost her leg and took some heavy scarring] from a worg riding goblin on said caravan ans had to retire as a gaurd. She became a follower of Shelyn, who she had loved while a dancer. Eventually she began to help a Taldan Temple with administration. She eventually became an Administrator.
Ontop of that she learned how to be a cleric. Though rigid and reserved she seems to have a true passion for Shelyn. She has learned to dance again despote her leg. She sings and even writes and doodles for worship.
Eventually she managed to rise in her effective administrative duties to command a bit of respect as the Deputy Director of a moderately sized Cathedrals Nuns in charge of orphans.
She fights hard for those children and for her staff. Having done so to the determent to her own career at times.
Still overall her protective nature guide her. Having clung to the divine defender role. Her glaive, her sword, her cane or even sling have rarely been used, but when they were she used spell and tactics to defeat her detractors defending those with her like a rock.
Despite all this she is a bit decident in jer food choices, her love of tawdry novels and art, followed by her own enjoyment of losinf herself in the dance.
At least thats my idea

Whoops. I actually meant to include a deadline with one of my previous posts. Thanks for catching that!
I was thinking this Saturday (July 20th) at 10pm (EST).
I love deadlines. I love the whooshing noise they make as they go by.
But not to miss it, here's a short background and a draft build for my inquisitor:
Unremarkable.
If anyone from Oppara high society was asked to describe Hasimir Clement, the answer would be “Unremarkable”. Another spoiled child from an old family. Plain-looking despite the expensive clothes. And so dreadfully dull - could blather hours on almost any topic, and somehow always keep in completely uninteresting. The only thing of interest about him, that he seems have disappeared from Oppara (took a while before anyone really noticed). And rumor has it he has been seen around Princess Eutropia’s whereabouts.
Now, Hasimir has indeed been cursed (or blessed) with a plain face, but his demeanor is carefully planned front. Clement’s, always devout worshippers of Abadar, placed the child to be trained in the temple. And he proved promising student - a one with the path laid out to be Justiciar one day. A spy and a weapon, to be used against the enemies of the church. And knowing Taldor’s complex politics, he quickly found use in the tables of the high society as well.
After the massacre at Senate Hill, Hasimir was contacted by Martella Lotheed, who offered him a place to work for his nation among the agents of the Loyalst faction. And soon, he was sent to a mission outside Oppara…
Obviously, if something doesn't work for the big story, it can be changed.
