Hall of Graves: This large, cathedral-like chamber is split into two areas—a lower region where supplicants await Nocticula’s pleasure, and an upper area that overlooks the lower one. The upper area features a shrine to Nocticula, as well as two 60-foot-tall bookshelves. These shelves are filled with tomes and tablets that contain information about the lives and deaths of the demon lords slain by Nocticula. Extensive entries for all of the isles can be found here. A shimmering pool of unholy water flows faintly catching your eyes.

Standing in all her demonic glory is the object of your pursuit’s, Nocticula. She smiles as you enter through the doorway. Welcome Champions of Purity. I have been expecting you. Please come in and make yourselves comfortable. She waves her hand in front of her as a long table appears laden with food and drink.

Everyone please make a fort save dc 43. See below

Seductive Presence (Su):
Unlike most demon lords, Nocticula does not possess a frightful presence ability. Rather, she has a seductive presence that she can activate as a free action whenever she speaks or uses a spell-like ability. Anyone within 180 feet who fails a DC 43 Fortitude save loses any immunity to mind-affecting effects, charm effects, and compulsion effects, and becomes fascinated by Nocticula for 5d4 rounds. A creature affected by a mind-affecting effect while within this aura remains affected even after leaving Nocticula’s seductive presence. Creatures that succeed at this saving throw are immune to this ability for 24 hours. The save DC is Charisma-based.

Now, to what do I owe this pleasure as I know you have working relentlessly to meet with me?

Male Aasimar (Musetouched) Bloodrager (Urban) 1/Paladin (Virtuoso Bravo) 14 [Champion: 7]

I assume that I get the bonus from my aura, since I don't have the immunity? I mean it doesn't really matter, I guess, since I can only pass on 20 -- but Arigoder's aura might save one of the others?

Ansha's gaze takes in the books and the molten-hoofed, ebon-tressed succubus in a moment. Utterly taken aback by Nocticula's beauty, she murmurs in awe, eyes wide.

Being fascinated for 5d4 rounds will make it kind of hard to carry on a conversation. xD

Nocticula seems to enjoy the silence and awe that all of you express as you enter the room. Yet the most perceptive and emotionally attuned get the sense that some small part of her is disappointed in the fact that no one was able to resist her charms. She takes the opportunity to speak to each of you privately telepathically.

Ansha:
I heard your prayer to me little one. I have great plans for you if you are willing to join me. I can show you wonders that you have never dreamt of. I can bestow upon you powers that would make you almost unstoppable. All it would take is for you to swear your fealty to me and spend the night in my chambers.

Arigoder:
Interesting...it has been ages since I have allowed a holy warrior of Aroden or Iomedae to call upon me here on my personal isle. Welcome and be at peace. We are not at war currently and I will not attack you or your companions unless they provoke me. Eat and drink as you wish. The food and drink is not poisoned. It is a small gift to you now with the possibility of more gifts and help later. Sense motive tells you she is being truthful to her wishes to parlay.

Damiel:
The elusive warrior always on the fringe of the fight and never getting your share of the glory. I could give your that glory and empower you to strike from the shadows. Think about it. You could have an isle all your own here and order subjects around as you wish.

Morgrym:
The Mighty Morgrym Ironfist, your exploits have preceded you even to my realm. Tales have been told of your passion and rage against all demons. I wish you could have visited the Battledome here on Alueshinyrra. You would have been a champion possibly above all others. Your rage would fill you and you would destroy countless demons daily. Think of the potential and the numbers of demons you would completely destroy. A building would be constructed of the tomes filled with the dead by your hand or earthbreaker.

Nasira:
The light is strong with you. I see it in your eyes. There is much wisdom there as well. Is there enough though that you are willing to listen to our conversation with open eyes and open ears? We have much to discuss and I know the path that you must take. I can help you with that path if you allow me to help you.

Even though everyone failed the check so far you can still interact with Nocticula and each other. If responding to Nocticula telepathically please spoiler your responses.

Nocticula:
Raising an eyebrow at the thought, the dwarf ponders that a moment. Looking over at her through narrowed eyes, "Really? Countless demons, you say?" The idea of that truly entices him like none other. Deep down there's a small part of him that contains a bit of trepidation about it all but he ignores it due to the idea of destroying numerous demons being far too attractive an offer to at least not inquire about. "Let me ask ya this: I don't suppose there's still a chance I could still go ta this Battledome place and still battle these demons, could I?"

Morgrym:
Nocticula smiles at you and you feel your whole body respond positively to her positive attentions. Oh yes Morgrym. There is still the chance that you could come to the Battledome any time you wish. In fact I would even be willing to make sure that you get promoted to star billing and a premier fight. Knowing you, I would assume that you would win although I would not 'fix' the fight. You are much too noble for that. Once you win though then you would be able to face countless demons, captured devils, and all sorts of hybrids in between. I would even be willing to provide you with some equipment in exchange for a small favor at a later time.

Damiel:
Nocticula considers what you say to her as she provides a counter offer. I understand your wish and it speaks loudly to your passions. I understand passions all too well. With my aid your passions could become reality in striking down your foes and should you need a retreat, the isle would be available when you need of it. Leave when you want and come back when you want. Nothing would tie you to the isle if you would want to leave. All this could be yours for a simple favor later.

Nasira:
Indeed I would treat with all of you openly and discuss the reasons for you being here. That is a discussion for all of us soon. Now however is the time for you and me to talk privately about what it is that you desire. What is it that I could help you personally with? Is there a question that you need answered or a boon that I can provide to you? An exchange of favors or gifts perhaps?

Morgrym:
Nocticula shrugs her shapely shoulders. Nothing too much. Just that if the time ever comes that you meet Baphomet and need help that you call out to me for help. All you have to do is spend about 6 seconds in a prayer and I will be there to help you. After that the Battledome awaits you.

Ansha:
Oh my dear you have no idea of the wonders I can show you. After all you already prayed once to me so I know that you at least follow some of my teachings. Unadulterated passion and pleasure can bring you far but I can provide power that is only available to my most devoted subjects and followers. In exchange for your true worship of me I will grant you a night with me in unhallowed bliss. Everything you could want and more would be yours for the taking for the night. At the end of the night I will add your name as a tattoo on my body and you will be tattooed likewise. The tattoo is a physical manifestation of the bond between us. You will strive to further my goals…of which currently is the same as yours with the ending of the Worldwound. In addition should you succeed then you are to call out my name and say a prayer lasting only 6 seconds when the time is right when you are fighting Baphomet. I will aid you. Yes this benefits both of us. See my dear, there is nothing wrong with joining me and becoming my follower heart and soul. Even Morgrym is thinking of working with me in this.

Knowing him and his ilk I am thinking that he may search you out first. However, when you do face him I am the one that would need to strike the fatal blow. Then yes, after that the Battledome is yours for taking and slaying. The answer to where to go will be answered shortly in group conversation

Nocticula nods her head at Arigoder as she acknowledges his ability to resist her charms. She actually treats with you verbally rather than telepathically. Impressive. It has been a long time since one was not smitten immediately with me. I will have to work on my seduction techniques for future visits with you. Or perhaps I could interest you in a more private encounter where I could show you all my charms first hand?

Not all demon lords are the same. Take my realm for example. Here I am open to all manner of creatures living together as long as they follow my rules. That is to say that it is not dangerous for some like yourself to openly walk the streets but there is nothing prohibiting you from doing so. Some demon lords would put a price on your heads and send their very generals out to slay you. Has that happened here with my subjects...no? You have been attacked but that was not on my orders.

So, may I ask again what brings you to seek an audience with me?

Ansha:
That is easily done. I assume that you are skilled with some trickery and deceit. My gift to you would enhance those abilities and a simple magical gift would do the rest. A ring of mind shielding would protect you from his magical discernment and is something that I could give to you after our night together. The tattoo would be in such a place as well that he should have no reason to look there for it and it would not be visible to him normally.

He stops, shakes his head, then adds, "Actually, honestly, part of me will probably be thinking about that for a very long time, though that doesn't change my reply."

He looks to the others, a little surprised, then chuckles at himself, "You're having this conversation with each of us in turn, aren't you?"

Morgrym:
Excellent. I am happy that we have come to this arrangement. I do believe it will be beneficial for both of us in the long run. To commemorate our agreeemnt may I offer you an item of your choosing up to 10,000 gp?

Nasira:
Nothing at all for yourself? Not even a headband or belt or something that might aid you upon your way? I have a vast collection of items that I could part with to aid you. She is offering any item of 10,000 gp or fewer to help you.

Why would she not approve? We would both be consenting adults unless you have taken a vow of chastity there is nothing wrong in spending some 1 on 1 time together. waving her hand in feigned scorn she shakes her head and waits to here you answer.

For all once you are no longer fascinated and taking openly

To answer Nasira and Arigoder, I am not used to answers so forth coming. When dealing with demons you always have to parse out the 10 lies amongst the single truth. In this case I knew the truth already that you have come because of the Worldwound. I have no personal interest in the Worldwound, and in fact think that Deskari and Baphomet are stirring up something of a hornet’s nest in attempting to subjugate a portion of the Material Plane. There is a delicate balance of power preventing the enemies of the Abyss from attacking. While any attack by the forces of law and good would ultimately fail, such an attack could do a lot of damage. Therefore it’s in my best interests if Deskari and Baphomet fail in their endeavor, but the pain and horror their efforts inflict on Golarion in the meantime are an amusing distraction.

The cult of Baphomet is mining Nahyndrian crystals from my islands. I have deliberately avoided acting against them for two main reasons: their actions are, in the grand scheme of things, minor, and I have
been waiting for “champions of purity” to come to my realm to stop them so
that I might provide aid to them.

Female Elf Wizard (Manipulator) 15/Archmage 7 Portrait

Nocticula:
"And the dalliance in your chambers?" Ansha asks with the mental equivalent of a raised eyebrow. Almost in spite of herself, given that she was rebelling against her demon-tainted heritage as the daughter of a worshiper of Nocticula already, she concedes, "Alright, show me the wonders of a night in your company, and we will work toward the same goal--which you already know to be the same as your own. We need your help in closing the Worldwound, which, as you said, is your goal as well. We're also here to learn more about the Nahyndrian crystals, which we think come from the Midnight Isles here. Do you know anything about them, Lady in Shadow? Anything you can tell us may help further our mutual goal to shut down the Worldwound."

She kept telling herself that she wouldn't swear to serve the Lady in Shadow 'heart and soul'--maybe she could weasel her way out of the swearing-her-fealty part. Then again, a large part of her wondered just how the night of passion with the Queen of Succubi would change her. And another part was strangely excited by the prospect, all the same.

Knowledge (planes): 1d20 + 26 ⇒ (18) + 26 = 44 I assume with that roll, she has some idea of the particulars of the 'bond' Nocticula is talking about.

Ansha:

Profane Ascension (Su) As a swift action while in an act of passion with a willing mortal, Nocticula may grant a profane ascension. The target’s name appears in glowing Abyssal runes on Nocticula’s wings, and a crimson mark manifests somewhere on the target’s body. The target immediately gains a +6 profane bonus to any one ability score of its choice, a +4 profane bonus to any other ability score of its choice, and the see in darkness ability. A single creature may have only one profane ascension in effect at any one time. As long as the effect persists, Nocticula can communicate telepathically with the target across any distance and may use any of her spell-like abilities through the target, manifesting them as if the target were using them. A profane ascension may
be removed by a miracle or wish. Nocticula can remove it as a free action, dealing 4d6 points of Charisma drain and imparting 1d10+10 permanent negative levels to the victim.

This would be more than a dalliance my luscious one. It would be just the beginning of our lustful perversions.

You know there is no going back away from Nocticula after this. At least nothing you would willingly accept once this choice is made.

The rest of the conversation about closing the Worldwound and the Nahyndrian Crystals would be for group discussion

Pondering the offer a moment, "Let me ask ya this: What about makin' me breaker a bit tougher on these demons? Is that an option?"

Ultimately, I got nothing. So that's why I was wondering if I could get Bane(evil outsider) put on my earthbreaker. The cost would be 10,000 gold.
If that's no good, I'll just roll with a +3 cloak at 9000. A +4 is just a bit too much, dern it. 16 grand.

So, if at all possible, Bane on his breaker would be his first choice. But if not, the +3 cloak would be cool. Can't really go wrong with either.

Nasira:
Ahh but for one such as I everything is fleeting for a time. Even thoughts of 'love and devotion' are just temporary for one as eternal as myself. Thus I must take the opportunities as they present themselves and not look back. So with that knowledge do you still care about superfluous vows or are you willing to engage in a night of carnal pleasure. It is a simple matter and a chance to do what you want instead of what you are 'suppose' to do.

But Ari, can I call you Ari? Just because I could feed on your soul does not mean that I would. Why dream when for one night you could have your dreams become reality.

To all of you after the verbal wordplay and sparring are over, I know everything that happens in my corner of the demonic planes and have the power to travel there as well. I could send you to the exact location that they are harvesting the Nahyndrian Crystals, but if you won't trust me privately why would you trust me publicly or accept my help at all?

He then pauses a moment, looking mighty confused at himself as that just didn't sound right for some reason. Mentally working to try to understand why he said what he just said as he scratches his head, he finds himself unable to comprehend it. So he decides to let it go, figuring it must be the Abyss getting to him.

background plot:

Anyone curious why a demon lord is even offering to help you ‘champion is purity’ against another demon lord and not send her own minions to handle this?

Male Aasimar (Musetouched) Bloodrager (Urban) 1/Paladin (Virtuoso Bravo) 14 [Champion: 7]

Arigoder says, "You may, indeed. And, as I said, Lady, I would not trust myself in such an encounter."

He shakes his head, then blinks at Morgrym's statement, adding, "It seems, Lady, your other conversations have been somewhat more successful..."

The paladin then shrugs, "Why would I trust you? Well, it's because I would assume, Lady, that you would be helping us as part of a complex power play that I'd never understand. Whether it's because you see us as expendable, or you expect that we'll owe you a debt to be collected later, or you like the idea of being able to threaten your other enemies with a group of 'champions of purity' at your beck and call.... or, as I said, a host of things I probably simply cannot conceive of.... However, still, I have to believe that you see it as being in your best interests, and so, my trust is more or less based on that."

Nasira nods, "I am under no illusions that such assistance would be granted if it did not benefit one as eternal as yourself. I believe the phrase is that you are able to play a far longer game than any of us."

"As for trust, that is not why I demur. I trust it would be everything you say and probably more. Please forgive me if I gave you any other impression."

"I think the answer to that question, Lady in Shadow, is that we need your help. You have some use for us, or else you'd not even entertain a visit from us. As long as it's a mutually beneficial arrangement, I don't see what the problem is. Though, perhaps you'll indulge me a bit and tell me exactly what reason the Queen of Succubi could have for sending 'champions of purity' against another demonlord, rather than taking care of matters in-house, so to speak. Many minions are at your command who could deal with this matter without involving mortals, no doubt," Ansha says, tearing her gaze away from the demonlord with great difficulty long enough to formulate her thoughts, though her eyes wander back to the ebon-tressed succubus soon enough. Though some of us, I think, are more 'pure' than others.

”Ansha, who was the assassin threatening? The shadow demon? You seemed to get its implications, but I just tried to play along.”

"Hm? Oh, I think that was that lilitu that was impersonating the paladin. I don't think I ever heard her name," she says. After a short pause, she corrects herself, "No, I take that back. I think the paladin called the lilitu 'Minagho.'"

"...Why do you ask?"

”Just wondering if such strife, even in a land of chaos, is a concern for our hostess.”

Actually, I completely mis-read the situation and thought that was somehow a more direct threat to Nocticula. Nasira and I really don’t understand all of the politics and innuendo of the Abyss.

Minagho is a minor nuisance at best and not one that I am overly concerned of myself. She might pose a problem for all of you but that is not really my concern at the moment.

Nocticula laughs a bit at the reverence Ansha pays her by calling her the Lady in Shadows and Queen of Succubi. Well my dear, and the rest of you that are as inquisitive, there are a few reasons for letting the 'Champions of Purity' do the work for me. As already mentioned, I find you all expendable and see no reason to waste my own resources on a trivial task. Secondly, I like to watch the 'pure' among you squirm as I turn temptations into reality, thoughts into words, dreams into deeds, and fantasies into daily dalliances. Already, Ari is not as pure as he once was by simply placing words into his mind of what could be. At this she licks her lips sinfully as the corners of her eyes crinkle into a smile as the rest of her eyes roam over Arigoder.

Lastly there is an edict among the gods, demon lords, and other beings of power and immortality. We do not involve ourselves directly in each others realms. To do so would be tantamount of a full scale invasion and risk full frontal assaults by everyone. While I am confident that any such attack by the forces of heaven would fail, the loss of minions and power would set me back in my plans. As such we use mortals to do our work for us. There is nothing against me sending mortals or lesser creatures to heaven and attacking angels or to different realms of hell to attack devils. By helping you here I will possibly gain a favor from your patron deities to use at a later time. It may be that in an upcoming engagement I may ask Iomadae to refrain from sending aid in a minor skirmish against Abadar. Such favors are very powerful if used correctly.

So it seems that a few are willing to trust my words that we have a similar goal for now. IF that is enough for the rest of you then I would suggest that you relax here for the night and when you are ready you just need to step through the portal to arrive at your next destination.

Anyone else need anything completed via spoilers? Damiel and Nasira I don't think I have gotten your final answer yet.

Arigoder nods, "Thanks for the generous offer of rest and aid - though I don't need to sleep, I'll be more than pleased to have a room to commune with the Inheritor in peace."

Damiel:
Apologies, I lost this thread entirely. "I cannot imagine the situation that would be so dire that I must flee and could safely do so to your realm, my lady. However, your offer of something... that I confess interests me."

Nasira answered the previous time and didn't detect another question. She's answering out loud now.

Damiel and Nasira:
Nocticula would offer you both an item valued at up to 15000gp as a boon if you are so inclined to take it. She does ask a favor in return though. If you ever happen to come across a demon lord and need help defeating it a second time, call out her name in supplication as a full round action, and she will be there to help you.

Nasira I thoughts I sent this to you already once is why I asked above.

Nocticula points to one of the side rooms as the door opens revealing a simple room with nothing but her exploits, sexual and mundane, written on the walls.

Variel:
I’m confused. I get an item today and in exchange I have to ask for help in the future to defeat a demon lord again?

Nasira:
Yep you got it. Of course there may be some tiny issue with your goddess after calling out to Nocticula for help. But that is really trivial in the long run and it would be for a really good cause.
