ok; Gloisel wounds one and Mogue takes one down; then the goblins are upon you.
ok; we can do this several ways; everyone can post their actions and a backup action for thier initiative; or you can wait for you turn; all good to me.
ok; top of the round; counting down; 20's or better; 19; 18; 17; 16 post; then one of my groups.

Elsdyn Fedwick |

"Twould be best for thou to lay down thy weapons and come peacefully." Elsdyn says to the goblins as they come rushing in. "But, thy hearts are to corrupt it seems. Then shall I purge thy evil from them in a more forceable manner."
Elsdyn engages the nearest goblin to him in combat. He will actively attempt to prevent any goblins from moving into the room past him. Re-positioning himself as necessary.

There ye go!
"Fer t' be cryin' HAVOC! An lettin' slip th' hounds o' WAR!" Sunset cries into the fray as her bolt flies free.
(^_^)

Valegrim |

At Sunset's bardic voice <and a great roll> which invokes the dread warchant of Ares; God of War the focus of a Power turns to the room.
<everything stops for a few seconds; the goblins hesistate as do the party as the Gaze of this Power turns to you....
Then, in the voice of and eight year old kid, these words fill the room:
"Behold, I have heard your..uhm, words..I am Aahz <pronouced; like "Ah, I get it with a long AAAAAAh and a small zzz>..I dont have Havoc, my Hound of War on me just now as the Plebe and Diem took him for a walk, but I send you this Mighty Spirit Guide, for a few moments for what aide he can render...<Pst, Kalona, the way is open for you for a few moments; hurry; do what you can>...uhm, Seek Yea the Glyph of Imprisonment deep in the Halls of the Silent God, let it not fall into the Demon's hands, uhm...I and my mighty companions wish you well though we must fight in the Depths of the Hell of Hades to save very Sun from destruction."

Sunset |

(O.o)
Sunset looks around, probably as surprised as every one else before she recovers,
"AllRIGHT, mates! Ye heard th' voice! Let's have at 'em!" She cries, reloading as she drops back into the chorus being carried by Bob,
"We's gon'a kill some Gobbies, we's gon'ta kill some Gobbies, we's gon'a kill some Gobbies.." She winks at the Half-ling. (^_~)
Again, not sure how many rounds th' chantin'll last, but we'll give 'em our best, hey? ^_^
Oh, sorry an' I've fergot, th' round count is at, agin?

Valegrim |

<Gloisel; your a bit ahead at the moment; you can get off a magic missle pre round and one on this round; but the third missile will have to wait until next round unless you can do more than one a round for some reason>
Ok; on their round the goblins flood down the hallway and charge into melee with the two warriors; after various slashes and pokes; the Squire-Knight takes 2 pts from a short sword.
volleys of arrows, magic and slingstones are traded back and forth, there is pleanty of space with the tall hallways to shoot, sadly <for the gm> gobbies are not very good shots:
gloisel gets scratched by two arrows; 1 pt damage each <sigh> for a total of 2 pts.
Our healer takes 2 pts from a sling stone.
other stones bounce off the walls and some poorly made short arrows stick to the table; broken furniture and bounce of the walls <two bounce off the rangers armor.
ok; rest of party go on your actions; remember talk is free and interject in this round the Sunset/diety interaction with the party.
otherwise; my other groups of gobbies will manuevere.
Please keep count of your ammunition and let me know if your trying to use a gobbie short arrow or any of their sling stones.
<note: everyones swings, arrows, magic; seems a bit more powerful this round for some reason; GM adding +1 to all damage effects from the party for this round as if the hounds of war are helping hehe, well, +1; guess that is the puppies of war>

Sorry, I thought you were ready for my next action, just apply my last post to round 2.

Kalona |

A large raven suddenly pops up right in front of Sunset. In Sunset's native tongue;
"Ah young lady, please do try and be more cautious with what you invoke, one never knows what Powers may be listening and twas only by your good fortune that Aahz did hear.. So what seems to be..." An arrow and stone fly past Kalona.
She turns her head to look in that direction.
"Ah a bit over whelmed by the odds is it? Well, I havent much time but this should help a bit."
She flys past the two warriors landing on a recently deceased goblin and takes a deep breath, puffing up like birds do when they are threatened. Then opens her beak wide and a rush of hot air hits the warriors as fire leaps out of her mouth to engulf several of the goblins in front of her.
Damage:3d6 + 1 ⇒ (3, 1, 2) + 1 = 7(rolls like the GM, maybe he will through in some help there).
Reflex Save, DC:17
Then she looks back at Sunset as she begins to softly fade away.
"Do remember to be careful and that it was Aahz that answered, he is still young but I expect many things from him in the future...yes, quite the young power he is...dont forget his words." And with that she vanishes from view.

Valegrim |

Like some kind of Stormcrow; here and gone; the gobbies in the hallway get roasted +1 damage from Sunsets song; so 8pts to each <argh, reflex roll of 11>; so 8 drop dead in the smell of burned flesh; of this group; only three left; the leader and two warriors as well as the archers in the back; but no worries; the second group of gobbbies is here to fill in next round; some near their charred comrades take quick bites in glee of some fresh cooked charred meat; yes, cannibals they are; the horror of it settles in and with grim determination the fight continues.
Bonus: Grim determination not to get eaten by your foes; anyone may reroll one roll to hit or damage and take the better of the two rolls. Each player may do this once this combat.
<Sunset; the gods have answered your prayer; probably wise to give thanks or perhaps some type of something>

(O.O)
"............"
Sunset stands for a brief moment utterly stunned by the events transpiring before her,
"Nuncle din't spin any tales as wild as this......" She whispers, then remembers the x-bow hanging limp in her hands.
Reloading!
"We're gon'a kill some Gobblers!, We's Gon'ta kill dome Gobblers! We're Gon'a kill some Gobblers!" ^_^

Desidera Tahn |
Wide eyes look at Sunset, crouched as she was, but remaining within range of immediate aid for everyone she could, Desidera was rendered speechless at the display, having understood not a word of it. Their ebullient companion was regarded in a whole new light, even after the flames had faded and the smell of unclean roasted goblin flesh filled the air. 'Never again will I even dare think that words are powerless', she thought to herself in surprise. She gagged slightly at the smell, and gave everyone a hasty once-over, herself nursing a deep bruise on the back of her shoulder from a sling stone.
Given the display of.. Otherworldly aid, she tried to think of what might have caused it, even as she looked over the shoulders of those in front of her, taking a hasty count of what she could see.

Desidera
HAVOC! An lettin' slip th' hounds o' WAR!
This is known to be the warcry of the Faithful of Ares; Grecko/Roman god of war. Currently, Ares and nearly all the lesser gods of every pantheon are dead, but apparently this is some evidence that they may be being reborn else why would this mysterious Aahz figure have heard such a cry all the way in whatever realm he is in currently. The religous implications of this are stunning; consider that if what you suspect is true and dieties are being reborn; well, the implications of social order; understanding of relationships between gods and mortals and implications of what it means to established orders; this will probably cause a civil war on a massive scale if somebody doesnt do something. What powers will these new dieities have; will they be the same; will there be less gods; will their be more; what are these new names and will anyone accept them or worse; new factions; yikes! Is this happening all over the world? What else might be said to attract a new child diety.
as for spellcraft; it looks like a gateway opened and a minion of Aahz [the Raven}came forth for one round; gave aide; and left through the gate which closed.

Gloisil Murigel |

A look of amazement fills Gloisil's eyes as the raven appears, speaks to Sunset, attacks the goblins, and then disappears again.
As he quickly checks the seriousness of his wounds, Gloisil says, "Sunset, take care with the words ye speak, for words have power, and so I am told by those more knowledgeable than I, some words have power of life and death. I know not which words ye spake that caused the raven to appear, but they seem to be words of some power."
"If we survive this, ye will certainly have some exciting tales to sing of and tell."

Valegrim |

ok; looks like:
bob misses everybody but sings his heart out in key and good tempo.
Sunset damages an archer; almost killing him with one Bolt.
Astinos practically cuts his goblin in half
Gloisel damages another archer (same one he did pre round)
Elsdyne kills his goblin wasting no effort
Spirit guide invoked by Bob and Sunset singing and Sunsets battlecry roasts most of the rest of the squad.
I think we are just waiting for Mogues round one action; as he pasted one pre round, but in less I am mistaken; hasnt fired this round.
(archers are about 40 to 60 ft back and not in the hall; the hall has very high ceilings so no problem shooting back and forth or sighting if your on the table to see over the warriors in front.
so; awaiting Mogue; who will probably kill another archer; well; this round certainly goes to the pc's.
ding ding
Round two:
the melee guys will need to wait on the gobbies inits if they dont want to move.

Elsdyn Fedwick |

The appearance of the raven does not startle Elsdyn as he eyes its display. Though he does glance at Sunset curiously in the brief respite. Then smiles.
"Well be it the Gods or the Lady that doth aid us, it is aid well taken." Then hearing the sound of reinforcements.
"Bah, but our respite is short lived. Though these foul creatures feast on their own, there numbers are growing. If more come I fear we must take the more treacherous road and leave this place for the unknown."
Elsdyn continues to fight those that come within his reach as he speaks.
Round 2@ inits 15 (will attack at earliest opportunity, unless Galen charges then I will follow or follow along side if possible)
To hit: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21
Damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13

Mogue |

Sees the raven appear and roast the goblins. Thinks to himself, not a goblin, can deal with it later. Fires at an archer in the back.
Attack: 14(d20)+6=20
Damage: 8(d8)+6=14
Goblin Drops with an arrow in him.
Start running you worthless scum. Staying will only be bad for you.
To Val:
By my count End of Round 1 Stats stands as:
Group 1= 13 Dead, 2 Archers and 1 Leader alive.
Group 2= All alive.

Valegrim |

ok; as my gobbies charge in; Astinos cuts down the little better dressed and armored leader of one group; but the other group is upon you....
Atinos takes 4 from a lucky hit
The squire takes 2 and 2; for a total of four
the healer, 1 from a sling stone.
Sunset; 2 and 1 from short arrows.
the Ranger; 2 and 2 from arrows.
lots of misses from swords and spears; but the archers and slingers have a lucky moment.
other party actions?

Desidera Tahn |
Another squeak of pain came from Desidera as another sling stone impacted, reminding Desidera that looking over the shoulder of the front-liners was not the best place for her to be. Admittedly, it was the only place that would let her reach anyone at a moment's notice, even though she winced empathetically at every sound of pain. As the hurts seemed to be mounting, she called out an inquiry to her party members, hardly authoritative, but effective and succinct.
"Status!?" She did have to yell over the din of battle, however.
She had seen them take no few hits and remain standing, but there was something that made seeing the arrow make the wound that made it much more painful.

Sunset |

Sunset hears a squeak of pain came from Desidera then her voice as she call out an inquiry to the party members,
"Status!?" She did have to yell over the din of battle, however.
Sunset winces at the stone and hisses as the small arrow pierces her.
"Aye an' I'm still good t' go!" She calls back to the healer even as she set her jaw determinedly and keeps working at reloading her x-bow.
"Asides, don't worry about me none too much. I be havin' some healin' skills me self. A Bard has always got's t' be versatile." She gives Desidera a wink over her shoulder.
Re-loading in second round
Looking forward towards round Three. Next feat I get? Rapid re-load for this x-bow!

Sunset |

Picks up her tune after answering Desidera's question.
"We's gon'a kill some Gobbies. We's gon'a shoot 'em in'a head."
"We's gon'ta kill some Gobbies, why we's gon'a kill 'em dead."

We're gonna kill some gobbies, until they just ooze across the floor.
