Question GM, after this fight (assuming we survive) how close will we be to level 7? As after downing at least two of them level six is a guarantee if I remember what you said about us killing the halfling assassin...


The three mercenaries you've already downed will just barely put you to level 6. By the end of the whole adventure (if successful, theres still a bit to go after this) you could conceivably be as far as 75% of the way to 7, but it will depend on a few factors.

So I just realized I made a mistake. For some reason I thought Ash Storm was min/lvl, when in fact it is round/level. I don’t think it changes that much as the stinking cloud caused a similar effect to break line of sight.

Rahger, As a standard action, you make a CMB check to maintain the grapple. You do not need to succeed on the check to keep the grapple going, just to take the action. However, if you do succeed, you can do one of a few things: upgrade their condition to a pin, deal unarmed damage, or move them. So you did not need to make a separate attack roll to punch the dwarf (and unlike normal attacks, grapple damage is not subject to concealment). Power attack can be used and just penalizes your CMB check.

Gideon’s lack of sneak attack is more due to the concealment (via psionic power) that Borras has.

Daishata, I’m surprised you didn’t take the opportunity to hit Yaris, True strike works wonders against the cloud’s concealment.

@Cron - yes, that is why I cast it. Then completely forgot and considered casting true strike (having forgot I cast true strike) but knew I couldn't cast it and at attack in one round (which is why I cast the true strike in the previous round) so opted to heal Chu.

And thus wasted the casting of true strike.

Such are the vagaries of stop-start PbP! ;)

It looked like his highest attack roll was a 15. Her AC was 18 that round (FYI Via the Offensive Defense talent)

How´s that working out with those wands?
I can´t really remember the dark sun rules, if there were such things actually.
We played with dorjes mainly and last i looked the healing power was range: personal, which might turn out a problem since maybe not everyone can use it then. Also most have to UMD it then right?


Wands do exist in Dark Sun, they are just rare. They are distrusted, much like the wizards who create them. Luckily, your employer is a master of navigating the black markets.

Daishata, where are you getting a feat slot from? Feat progression is normally based on character level, not class level.
