I'm definitely interested in joining in, Dreaming Warforged, I'm just debating what I'd like to play. Right now I'm thinking either a Kellid Inquisitor of Erastil favoring archery (Hierophant or Trickster) or a Human (not sure on background/ethnicity) Lore Warden (Champion) who would end up built similarly to my alias Zurisatro Vascari. (I didn't include myself in the above list.)

![]() |

Oooh, I'm very interested!
Tough, this would be my first PbP AND first Pathfinder campaign, so I'm not sure if it's ok I should join...
Anyway, I was thinking of a Fetchling Paladin Archer of Sarenrae, so I'm going to try to redeem as much people as possible ;). Go Go maxed Diplomacy!
I'll post backstory and stat block later or tomorrow, need some time to flesh out well why he wants to join the crusade.
Welcome, Brother. Please join us !

After thinking about it some more I'm definitely going to go for a Human Lore Warden fighter going down the Champion path. He's currently working as a blacksmith for the Crusade, but he's eager to put his knowledge to use against the fiends threatening the world. I'll need to create a profile/background for him, but you can get an idea where I'm going by looking at this profile: Zuristro Vascari.

Mythic Path: Trickster
As a noble, Lacsar is well educated and erudite Feat: Cosmopolitan, Fast Learner - a cultured warrior. While he is dedicated to Iomedae's service, he knows he is unworthy of her. He is a product of the ruthless Chelish nobility. Lacsar has made strides to become a better man by eschewing the worse (evil) aspects of his culture, but retains a Machiavellian core to achieving his goals, making him a pragmatic hero.
Despite the infernal experiments and twisted genetics in Cheliax, diseases are dreaded. Surrounded by Tieflings and other bastard diabolic creatures, it was with rye amusement that Lacsar knew that he was feared - that his family and neighbors worried that the taint of his common disease would infect their devil-befouled heritage. Trying to minimize these concerns, Lacsar's House had him fitted with intricate silver masks as he grew up, each one ensorcelled with spells and phrases of power in filligree, to prevent the spread of disease while letting the quality of the mask display his noble lineage... an attempt to ensure his safety in a world where lepers are often driven out or killed.
As a member of a Chelish Noble House, Lacsar has never wanted for money (until now), but he values it selectively. Wealth really serves only two purposes. First, it enables him to wield the best equipment to fulfill his service to Iomedae. Second, having the apparent lifestyle of a noble is a shield that prevents others from preying on him because of his disease. A poor and nameless leper is far more likely to be treated violently than one that is obviously noble-born and possibly powerful. Lacsar plays to these assumptions.
As a native Chelaxian, Lacsar understands the creatures of the lower planes intimately, (K:Planes). He knows their ways and their languages (Feat: Cosmopolitan). He uses this knowledge to hunt these dangerous creatures. His goal is to drive all lower plane creatures from Golarion.
Personality: Composed, Well-Spoken, Pragmatic, Clever, and Relentless
Seeds: Touched by Divinity or Exposed to Awfulness (either works with his story)
If you like the Leprosy idea, we need to figure out how far the disease has advanced and what permanent effects it may have. I left Lacsar with an 8 CHA as I'm not a fan of min/maxing. You'll need to decide how much lower than that my character's CHA is hovering at currently. Feel free to put it as low as you like. So if my temporary CHA at the start of the game is 5 - no problem. I don't mind starting out at a disadvantage. Assuming Lacsar gets cured by Iomedae, we'll need to figure how much of that CHA comes back. According to the write up, "leprosy can permanently disfigure" yada yada yada. I interpret that to mean that you can choose to leave his CHA at some lower level. I have no objection to this. My only request is that IF you feel his CHA should receive a permanent ding, to not blow away my 20 point build parameter on a MAD class like Monk, I'd like to be able to tweak my build with that penalty in mind.... so if your plan is to have my CHA 8 'healed' with a final CHA of 6... I'd like to be able to build him with a CHA of 6 and put those points elsewhere. So the fluff would be he is 'Joe Average' in terms of CHA and the disease permanently disfigures him, even though I'd build him on the lower CHA 'end result'.
I'm happy to go with whatever decision you make even if it means my 20 point build really isn't one. I'm just making these suggestions for character parity and storyline considerations.

Description: Nalun is beautiful, but not in the vain, boastful way. He is beautiful in the quiet contemplative way. He is a slight man of only 68' tall and 160 lbs but carries himself much higher. He is rarely without a smile or kind word for strangers and often volunteers his aid to the poor and downtrodden of the crusading kingdom. Nalun wears his brown hair long and tied into a ponytail but keeps no facial hair. He enjoys art but is secretly ashamed that he cannot produce great works.
Personality: sophisticated, civil, polite, enthusiastic, peaceful
Background: Touched by Divinity: As long as you can remember, you’ve had an unexplainable interest in one deity in particular (Shelyn). You’ve always felt calm and at ease in places holy to the deity, and often have dreams about the goddess visiting you—most often in the form of a sacred animal or creature.
Current Occupation: Assistant in the Kenebres Library cataloging Sarkoran artifacts. Nalun joined the Crusade to restore beauty to Sarkoris. As a native Kellid his worship of Shelyn is odd but he has always been drawn to the Eternal Rose, his dreams full of her iconography since he was a young boy.

Eamch Stone |
Here is Eamch Stone, the character submission for markofbane. He is a dwarven monk (ki mystic, sensai), destined for the Marshal Myth Path. His stats are in his profile. His background includes the Exposed to Awfulness trait.
Personality
His personality would be best described as Morose, Practical, Bitter, Orderly and Guarded. Eamch has fallen low, and that has made him guarded and depressed. Even though he has started to come to grips with his current position (or as he rises, how easy it would be to fall again), he is still quite bitter; he has a long way to go to redeem himself. The years of training he underwent stay with him, hence his orderly outlook. Long years of desperation and living hand to mouth have made his exceedingly practical.
Description
Eamch has fallen far indeed, and his appearance reflects it. His tattered peasant clothes show older signs of mending, back before he gave up on trying to keep up with it. His beard is dirty and ratty, and his face is smudged with mud. His pouch is nearly empty; only a few coins rattle in the bottom of it. He carries a cudgel and a dagger to ward off the predations of other downtrodden. The waterskin and the little food he has are tied in a scarf and hung at the end of his cudgel, bindle stick style.
Background
Eamch stared at the shiny, new minted platinum piece in his hand, his eyes tearing at the generosity and his mind wondering how he’s fallen so far.
Eamch Stone came to the Worldwound from the Five Kings Mountains as part of a band determined to reap glory from the long running struggle. Eamch was a young dwarf at the time and full of confidence and a thirst for glory. Their group never even came within sight of the ward stones before disaster fell upon them. As they approached, they were attacked when they were camping, still several days away. A demon descended from the sky and was unnoticed until it was too late. It ripped into their numbers, killing several before an alarm could be raised. In a matter of moments, the demon was moving on, believing it had killed everyone. And it almost had.
When Eamch awoke, he was staring up at the midday sun. He was dehydrated and feverish. Whatever the demon was, the wounds it caused were festering and disease was ravaging his body. After two days, he passed out, slipping into a coma. When he finally came to, he was in the back of a merchant’s wagon being jostled as the caravan moved toward the Worldwound. He figured out that had been unconscious for more than a week. While his body had won the battle with the disease and wounds, his spirit had been broken. No longer was he looking forward the battles and glory; he was just looking to get by. If he were only a little less stubborn, he would have just crawled off and let himself die.
For years, he has tried to make his way with odd jobs. He rarely stayed in one place for more than a couple of months, wandering around the Worldwound, and his fortunes diminished with each passing month. Finally, he was reduced to begging for food and coppers. He had come to believe that this was how he would meet his end, fighting over a bread crust with other misfortunates.
Then she crossed his path in the slums of Kenabres. He never learned her name or who she was. She was placid and clearly a competent warrior, a shining beacon of hope. She crouched by him and talked, convinced that she saw more to him than meets the eye. She spoke hushed words of encouragement and as she stood to leave, she pressed a coin into his hand. She took the holy symbol from around her neck and placed it around his. In her final words to him, she said ”The city of Dyinglight was a sight to behold, gem of the eye of Pulura. Just as it has crumbled and is hoped to be rebuilt, so too can you be rebuilt if you desire. Take it and go home, where ever it is you came from. Or stay, and see what you can build.” At first, he thought the coin was silver; generous in its own right. But then he realized it was platinum, a fortune to the beggar. After long minutes staring at the coin, he finally rose to his feet and started walking. He knew this would be a turning point for him, and there would be no looking back. This day his life would change.

Zoresk of Silverhall |

Ok, this is Rikash chiming in with his submission. I'm submitting a Kellid (Human) Lore Warden (Fighter) who plans to go down the Champion route. My background tie-in is based on the Stolen Fury trait. I'm working on the background, but the basics go:
Appearance
Zoresk possesses an athletic build honed by the last few years of training and a lifetime of travel with his father's caravans. Standing just shy of six feet tall, he's of roughly average height. His eyes, characteristic of his Kellid descent, are stone grey. Zoresk also has his people's look with a swarthy, travel-worn complexion and long coal black hair. Unusual for a Kellid and a legacy of his parent's work as merchants, Zoresk is careful to ensure that he keeps his hair and beard neatly trimmed. His clothing and gear are kept well-maintained, though this is less to appease Taldan sensibilities (the dominant ethnicity in his parent's home of Brevoy) and more to ensure it is always in good repair. His only significant scar is a cut crossing his nose and making it's way to his cheek below his right eye. That he has few others of significance is a mark of shame among the nomadic Kellid.
Background
- Born to descendants of refugees from Sarkoris when the Worldwound consumed the land
- His family settled in Brevoy (unusual for a Kellid family to do so) and took up their trades there to escape the chaos of the time.
- His father and mother ran a moderately successful merchant family who, as a side project, helped supply the Crusade.
- While travelling to and from Mendev with his parent's caravans, Zoresk acquired a wealth of knowledge about the history of Sarkoris, the denizens of the outer planes and the world at large from people travelling to join the crusade.
- On one such voyage, when he was 17, his caravan was attacked and his father killed. He was captured to be used in an unholy rite, but he survived it (albeit not un-scarred). He was saved by a patrol of Crusaders and among the items he found was his current, favored weapon (a fauchard).
- Took an interest in the weapon and its origins and took to studying weaponry (including the crafting thereof).
- Wanting to gain revenge and free his homeland, he began more serious training as a warrior whenever he could, despite his mother's disapproval.
- Came to Kenabres to join the Crusade, but has thus far been rebuffed as 'too young, too untrained, too weak' or something of those sorts.
- Is now working as a blacksmith crafting weapons for the crusaders, but despairs that he'll never have the chance to right the wrongs done to his family.
Personality
- Agreeable - Despite the trouble's of the past four years, Zoresk is still a young man with a zest for life and companionship.
- Practical - There is little need for elaborate plans when a simple, straightforward one does the job.
- Wary - His experiences with the cultists and his family's history have taught him to be cautious and somewhat skeptical.
- Blunt - He has no time to bandy pretty words when the truth will do best.
- Perceptive - Zoresk is a bright man who is sometimes resentful when people fail to see that he is, in fact, intelligent.

Ok..here is background, appearance and personality for Ozgo.
Background
Born in the kingdom of Brevoy, Ozgo's parents were devout Iomedaeans. His mother held the position of sword knight of the third circle, while his father was in the forth circle. From a young age he was part of the church and when he was old enough he joined the clergy. For several years he studied in the small temple at Port Ice, watching as members took ship to help fight the evil of the worldwound from Mendev. When his initiate training was finished, he too boarded the ship that would take him to the port-city of Egede. His parents saw him off at the docks, proud of their son's accomplishments.
He remained in Egede for a few years, finally entering the 5th circle of the clergy. Once he had achieved this level of experience, he was shipped off to Kenabres for final training and to be stationed at the temple there. Other than a run-in with a small band of goblins as they travelled the edge of the Estrovian Forest, his time in Mendev has been quiet. He arrived at Kenabres just a few days ago, and is awaiting his first posting.
Appearance
Ozgo is a large, well muscled man in his early 20's. His coal-black hair is cut short and his face is clean-shaven. He keeps his clerical robes spotless, and is often seen shining the silver holy symbol his parents gave him before he left home.
Personality
Ozgo like to help people and be helpful. His devotion to the goddess is absolute, and he can be critical of those who do not worship The Inheritor. Because of this he sometimes seems aloof, but once he makes you his friend, he will do all in his power to ensure you are safe and protected.

"Aw, come on buddy, it's not THAT bad!" Yetar said amiably, while polishing a glass. "Couples get in rows all the time! Well, you could think that your wife being a sorceress would make things different, but what happy married couple can say to NEVER have lobbed fireballs at each other?"
Yetar was doing his best to impress the Innkeeper by trying to cheer up his first depressed drunk.
He gave the Innkeeper a hopeful Am I doing good? look, but he didn't seem too amused.
A couple of hours later, Yetar went in his room upstairs of the tavern. Flinging himself on the bed, he gaze at the shelf and his eyes wondered on The birth of life and truth, Sarenrae's holy text. He picked it up, and it came to his mind the first time he read it, years ago, when he was still a child...
He was the son of a rather rich merchant who traded in the extremely rare materials that were present in the Shadow Plane. He found the book in the immense library in the mansion where he lived. It spoke of a goddess never heard of on the Shadow Plane, and of teachings completely alien to him. How could things such as compassion and redemption exist in his home plane, a ruthless, colorless place where everything was out only for itself?
But what puzzled him the most were the continual reference to something that was never explained, as if it was taken for granted: something called "the Sun". He didn't understand at the time, and he would have not understood until years later when he would have went with his father to Absalom, making his first trip to the material plane.
Indeed, when he passed for the first time the portal that brought him there, he couldn't believe his eyes. The leaves on the trees, which he knew only as ash-colored pieces of wrinkled paper, here shimmered of a lush emerald green, and the rivers, instead of being a murky black tablet, reflected the mountains on their crystalline surface. Than he raised his eyes, and saw which was ,until then, only a hazy memory of something he read years before. It was what would have rooted itself into his mind, what appeared in his dreams, what he would see every time he closed his eyes for the rest of his life.
It was also what made him leave his home, with only The birth of life and truth in his backpack, but hearth filled with desire to change things, to become a servant of his goddess, to make both the Material and the Shadow plane a better place.
And to bring those colors, that beautiful light to his home plane, too..
Before he knew, it was already morning. Yetar sighed and started playing whit the dark chain links of his scarf"I came here to join the Crusade, but I couldn't accomplish anything in the last months..." Yetar came to Kenabres some months ago, following his friend Isaac and other followers of Sarenrae, hoping to join the Crusade. His efforts had been fruitless, tough...
"What am I doing here, anyway? Maybe I should just give up, go back home and forget about this foolishness..."
He flipped trough The birth of life and truth without even noticing, and stopped at the page in which was written the code of a Paladin of Sarenrae. His eyes wandered to the last line
Each day is another step toward perfection.
I will not turn back into the dark.
Yetar stood there, mouth agape, and then burst out laughing
"Okay, okay" he trew his arms up in the air, as if surrendering "I apologize for my lack of faith!".
He gazed out of the window, at the sun rising over the horizon.
Warmhearted: Maybe the best adjective to describe him, Yetar is kind and forgiving with anyone, as long as he hasn't reasons to deeply despise them.
Absent-minded: Yetar has the bad habit of usually daydreaming and to let his mind wander off.
Cheerful: Yetar has a smile constantly cemented on his face. While no fool, he uses to say “As long you can see the colors of the world and the rays of the sun, you have a reason to be happy”, a vision of life he developed after living for years in the darkness of the shadow plane.
Long-winded: While never driven by ill-intentions, sometimes Yetar can't keep his mouth shout, something that has put him in trouble more than once...
Positive: Deeply influenced by the teachings of Sarenrae, Yetar thinks that has long as there is life, there is a chance to improvemeent, forgiveness and redemption.
Yetar always carries around a Reinforced Scarf: once the broken remains of the chain-shirt he stole when he flew from his home, they are now been fashioned by Yetar in a scarf. While looking like a normal white and red piece of cloth, the other side is made of chain shirt made of a metal native to the Shadow Plane, still shimmering of changing hues of black. Yetar carries it with him as a memento of both his home and the path he chose for his life.
The Reinforced Scarf is a last addition and kind of odd, but I fell in love with that at a first sight: character origin memento, a way to show allegiance to my goddess AND something to bind bad guys that aren't that much willing to come along without throwing a fuss? Yes please ;)
PS: If anyone want to know, I'm following the Sarenrae Paladin code found in Faiths of Purity.

Mirais |

Sarenrae is easily my favorite deity in the Golarion setting. I love her Paladin Code also.
Did you mean LG under alignment instead of LN?
Doh! I was sure I had done some really stupid mistake!
EDIT: Fixed Alignment in the character sheet on the PC alias, but the 1 hour limit to edit my last post already passed. Consider that LN as Lawful Good instead.

Adhan Cielo's Fetchling paladin here!
Background is up, and I will post Mythic path and everything in a couple of hours (wrote everything in the character profile, then the forum ate the post *Screams of rage interrupted by hysteric laughter*)
PS: Woah, finding a decent image for a Fetchling is hard. I had to settle for this kinda-male-looking Drow woman.
There's a few male ones that come close, like the Dark ice brownie, the Dhampir and the Strix. I can give you suggestions if you want.

Quylle |

I had the same challenge and went with a male dhampir for a female strix. The skin isn't quite dark enough, but I like it better than the female strix :) Even with the continually expanding options its still a challenge!
BTW, for Rikash's list, Quylle with probably be dual path with Champion as part of that and she is definitely Stolen Fury.

Vasily Zaytsev |

I would like throw my hat in the ring. All info should be in the profile.

Child of the Crusade
Mythic Path: Guardian
Freyja was a local girl and her family, all devout followers of Iomedae, were heavily involved in the crusades. She never got the chance to join up herself, but instead fell in love with a young crusader and the pair were soon married and Freyja was with child not very long after. Content to tend house and hearth during her husband’s patrols into the worldwound, she busied herself raising their son and the daughter that followed soon after.
She soldiered stoically when news of her father’s death at the hands of demonic marauders reached her and buried her mother, when she gave into her grief. As her children grew, it became clear that they wished nothing more than to follower in the footsteps of their father and grandfather and before long they were accompanying their father on patrol. Each day during these absences, Freya would go to pray at the temple of Iomedae for her family’s safe return. For a while it seemed to be working, but this has always been a war of attrition and first Aric fell, then Lydia. The loss of her children was a terrible blow, but while Freyja grieved, her faith in the cause did not falter. Her dedication bolstered her husband and without her unwavering conviction, he might have fallen into despair and retired from active duty. Thanks to Freyja’s constant love and support he kept soldering on long enough to also fall to the frenzied claws of the enemy.
After the loss of her husband, Freyja went into seclusion and those who knew her feared that she would do something terrible, but all Freyja did was pray. She prayed for guidance. When she finally emerged from her house, she was dressed in an odd assortment of mismatched armour left over from her loss family and carrying a battered shield and sword. Without even bothering to close the door, she made her way to the Iomedaen garrison to join the cause.
The knights there weren’t really sure to make of this housewife arrayed for battle. They would have gently turned her away, but she would not be dissuaded, so more out of respect for the memory of fallen family than anything else, they took her in and let her work in the stables. She had an aptitude with animals and it made for a good fit. No content to be shunted in with the horse, Freyja has been spending all her free time sitting in on the training sessions and learning the way of the warrior.
She has decided that no one else should have to die to abominations spilling into Golarion and none will on her watch.

Added to the list for DW's perusal and for anyone new that's interested in seeing what has been submitted. I think I got all the new stuff that has been pointed out/added. Let me know if I'm missing anything now and apologies if I missed anything before.
Crunch/Background done:
Note: I'm just doing very rough subdivisions and I kind of struggled with some of this. A lot of the 'martial' folks are archery focused for example. The magi/monks were also hard to place as they do a few different things.

EDIT: Added info from F. Castor's post.

F. Castor |

Background will be Stolen Fury. As for path, Champion and Archmage via the Dual Path mythic feat.
I will be posting a full profile along with a name change (here is an incomplete version: Joneth Revane). I will use an existing profile so as to avoid having too many aliases actually.

Yagnar Vitgurat |

GM Blood here, this is my submission Yagnar Vitgurat. He is intended to be going down the trickster route, but could go champion or even marshal if need be.
Yagnar is a Half-Orc Scout rogue. He will be a two-handed attacker and charging/mobile rogue that will be taking a level or two of Maneuver monk to add in dirty trick and Trip/Ki Throw later. The monk will also help getting Dragon Stance and possibly a second stance later.
I had thought about adding in Skulking Rogue as well, but didn't want to give up magical trap disarming, but if picked and the party composition either has that or feels they do not need it, I will add the archetype back in and shuffle things slightly.
I had original been thinking about a strix, but saw michaellane submit one so moved on to half-orc
Descriptive Adjectives: Unimaginative, Unsure, Blunt, Helpful, Impulsive
Mythic Path: Trickster, but could also choose Champion or Marshal if needed

I'll go Warden, I believe the GM said that you can choose a seed that is not connected with a Mythic Path. And due to a change in my expected build Isaac now qualifies as arcane, mostly.

Hmm... Due to having a 24-hour shift yesterday and tomorrow, I was going to do the background part of my submission today. However, thanks to the site being down up until now, I have not been able to do so. And considering "now" is 11.30 p.m. over here and I have to wake up really early tomorrow morning, I am not going to be doing any writing now either.
The basis of the background is that Joneth's parents, being adventurers (the father is a Taldan swordsman and the mother a Chelaxian wizardess with a bit of elven blood, just enough to explain hers and Joneth's slightly pointed ears), had managed to make an enemy or two during their career, one of those enemies being a cult of demon worshippers. After tracking down the pair, they decided to strike at them through their 14-year-old son by seizing the opportunity to kidnap him while he was practicing with a scimitar made of cold iron, the weapon belonging to a demon-hunter ally of his father's, deceased by then. After a few days of preparing the boy through magic and alchemy, they were to sacrifice him, using his own sword. However, at the last minute, the ritual was interrupted by Joneth's parents, who had managed to track down his kidnappers. During the ensuing fight, they managed to vanquish the cultists, but not before their leader attempted to finish the job by bringing the cold iron scimitar down on the boy's throat, but failing to kill him thanks to Joneth's quick reflexes, who put up his right hand, the blade biting deep into his palm but otherwise leaving him unharmed.
The ritual and the blood awakened something in the weapon -though whether a sentience had always slumbered within or came into being right then and there was not quite clear- and bound Joneth and the sword, as a part of his soul or essence or lifeforce was transferred into the blade and along with it the anger and fury that he had not only possessed as a personality trait up until then, but had been cultivated by his captors for the purposes of the ritual. Thus he was changed both inside, becoming more cool-headed and patient, and outside, as his brown hair turned white and his amber eyes golden.
Since then he remained with his parents for a couple more years, seeking to learn from them and improve his skill with sword and spell before setting out to travel in an attempt to learn more about the cult -for his kidnappers were only a part of it, not the entire cult- and also learn more about what had happened to him during those days in captivity that culminated in his almost losing his life and possibly his soul. The search eventually led him to Kenabres, where he has been for the last three to four years, using his skill with magic and his knowledge of arcane and planar lore to make a living and help the city's defenders and scholars as best he can in their own research into demonkind, at the same time never neglecting to put in some practice with his curved sword, feeling each time the bond between wielder and weapon growing stronger.

Yes, it appears any posts or profile updates that were made yesterday and possibly going back to sometime on Friday are gone.
There is a post here from Gary about the problem although it doesn't specifically call out how far back the issues go or if there is any chance of getting some of it back.
I've made a number of updates to my profile and I'm definitely keeping them in a Google doc too, just in case :)
