Sorry for lagging. Now that we've restarted, I've been deathly ill for a week. Getting back on my feet and trying to catch up. I need to review this one to figure out what to say to the guy, because I forgot what I had in mind.
Mothman |
Just a heads up, I will be away in China for about two weeks from the 1st of April. During that time I’m not sure how much internet access I will have, how much time I will have to get on, and whether I’ll be able to get access to Paizo. Towards the end of the trip I’ll be in Hong Kong which might mean improved access. I’ll try to keep up with my pbp games if I can, but please NPC my character if required to keep things moving along.

Dear CH et al
Not sure if you guys have noticed but I've been slacking off recently. My studies and workload have risen dramatically in recent times, and my role here is growing. I wish I could find the time for this game because of you guys but that's not going to happen for a year or two when I finish taking exams.
Therefore I'm going to drop out. Seem to have lost my vim and vigour for pbp and its not likely to return.
All the Best

So - a heads up. I am looking to kick his PbP off again after a couple months' hiatus.
I know we're down French Wolf. Mike Welham says he plans to return, but it may be a little while due to travel and some other things.
Do we still have:
Leandro
Nathaniel
Tybalt
Res
Volidrian
Celestial Healer |
I am kicking off with you all back in the barn. As I understand it, your plan was:
Bind Leandro, Andrzej, Tybalt, and Eliva to prevent them from hurting themselves or others.
Tybalt and Anuqa would remain to watch them.
Res, Volidrian, and Angalia would go to meet with the toymaker once everything is set here.
Obviously, feel free to modify those plans as you wish.
Treppa |
I am not dead (yet), but drowning.
Updating pbps is on my schedule for Thursday, 21 september. I will post at least something in all active pbps, and schedule an hour 4x/week to do pbps after that (sat/sun/tue/thu).
To my players: sorry for the delay, and thank you for your patience.
To gms and other players: feel free to bot me if I am holding up the game.

*cough*
I know cobwebs are kind of a gothic horror staple, but this place is awfully dusty.
Gearing up for a restart here. If you’re seeing this, feel free to chime in! Priority is being given to everyone who has played in this campaign previously!
Celestial Healer |
Quick roll call. We’ve got:
Leandro
Res
Volidrian
Anuqa
I have invited Patrick Curtin to join with a new PC.
I PM’d DSX and Mothman, but am not sure whether they are checking. If we just have this five, I may invite a new sixth player as well.

Still working on filling out the party.
And making some decisions about how to start us off. Where we left off, the party was split - some people were meeting with the toymaker‘a assistant, while others were observing the lycanthropic transformations of Tybalt and Andrzej.
My gut inclination was originally to summarize the meeting in the cafe and dive right into the toymaker/serial killer plot. But that leaves the wererat question unresolved.
Given that Tybalt’s and Andrzej’s players are presumably not rejoining, will anyone feel cheated if I handwave their whole lycanthropy question, rather than send you all on a quest to cure some ex-PCs of lycanthropy? Curing lycanthropy is a meaningful quest when it’s a PC - but when it’s not it feels like a distraction from your main quests.
Thoughts?

Wow! I can't believe it has almost been 3 years since Res said
He takes a sip of the coffee and winces. "Arg, nothing like the coffee brewed at Lastwall, praise be Gorum" he muses to himself.
I'm very excited to rejoin everyone. I miss you all. I hope you are all faring ok during this strange year.

I'm ok with handwaving the wererat story. Maybe the urgency of resuming the chase leads us to leave Tybalt and Andrzej with an NPC who can work on a cure. That way if either of those characters makes a return in the future, it will be easy to explain their reappearance.

That's probably how I'll handle it. I might try to kick this off tomorrow.
Patrick, if your character is not ready, that's okay. I don't think you will have to jump immediately into combat - but we will probably get there soon.
Does that work for everyone?
