I'm making up for my week of absence with three demonic plants!

I was away at a convention this weekend, so I didn't get a chance to drop the Majesticat here.

The monsters are back to a weekly schedule. The first one for November is the Hydratic Leech.

A weekend convention kept me from posting, so I'm going to throw them all out here:

Soul Bottle Frog

Sun Toad

Ceramifrog

Enjoy the frogs/toads and the awesome illustrations by Hugo Solis!

The bloatoad is two, two, two frogs in one.

I love the illustration Hugo made for the toad of Tindalos. It's very creepy.

The Soppy Frog does not like cleaning floors. Hugo Solis did a great job making this one look super pitiful.

Hugo Solis created a nifty illustration for the armageddanura.

The protector plush is adorable! Now we just need rules to add them to the advanced familiar list.

Hmmm...I'll have to give that some thought.

The first Frogtober mashup sighting is the Amphrogoliath, and it's got a wonderful Hugo Solis illustration to accompany it!

The tormentoad is fun at...particular parties.

Strange frogs lobbing themselves at your throat is not a basis for medical care.

Brighten your day with the Prismafrog, helpfully shined up by Hugo Solis.

The sky is not the limit for the Stellaruna, featuring another brilliant illustration by Hugo Solis!

FYI, the previous three frog monsters have also been illustrated by Hugo Solis!

The Sandtoad makes desert travel even worse.

The Refluxfrog is a giant gloppy mess, and it loves to eat PCs.

Your PCs can eat the remains of the Pseudoraptor Frog and honestly declare "It takes like chicken!"

I’m still a day behind here, but I’m ahead of the new monsters. :)

Yesterday’s offering, marvelously illustrated by Hugo Solis, is the Arcanaruna!

I totally forgot to link yesterday's monster, the Retributoad!

It also features a wonderful illustration by Hugo Solis.

Day two of Frogtober, with a glorious illustration by Hugo Solis, brings the Lotus Blossom Frog!

It's October, so it's time for a new set of daily monsters.

Since they're all frog-themed monsters, illustrated by Hugo Solis (or Butterfrog), we're dubbing this monster-filled month Frogtober.

First up in Frogtober is the Psychotropifrog!

The last monsters of September, and the culmination of 11 straight months without missing a week, are the Elyftephant and Octoquestrian.

I'll be kicking off a month's worth of monsters starting on Monday.

So, what does it say about you when you get an email from Paizo saying, "Your next battlecase subscription is about to be shipped" and your immediate reaction is, "D*** it, Shiro! What did you DO!??! Where am I going to put all that stuff?"

Shiro. Filling people's houses with unwanted nonsense for decades.

There is a glitch where it's sending these out to people that haven't been subscribed for years.

It's still nice to be remembered.

I look forward to your return.

I'm really enjoying these reviews, Rysky!

The Golden Scale Worm is a monster that is also its own treasure. PCs just need to avoid having all their blood drained in the process of procuring said treasure.

The Bone Spider likes bones (hence the name) and making bone spiders out of bones. It makes sense, trust me.

Except for differential equations, which are an abomination unto math.

In PF2, I couldn't even say for sure whether these are intended or not simply because it requires a design philosophy that I'm not familiar with, or even understand.
It seems to me that this is the crux of your issue, not that the monsters don't follow PC-like rules. That you don't know the rules the monsters are built by.

It's both.

And we do sorta have access to the rules, they're looking very similar to Starfinder's creation system.

I agree the rules are close to Starfinder's creation system, but not quite close enough to create consistent monsters for PF2.

These 2 creatures are absolute GENIUS. They will get table time at my Pathfinder game in the upcoming week. Thank you so much!

Awesome! I'm glad you like them, and I hope they're fun additions to your game.

Yeah, I learned about it a couple of weeks ago, I thought all the bad stuff was in Australia. :)
