Molos briskly burns the papers in a oil lamp and puts a new letter into the covered box.
I have finished reading the tome and at the end of it I found these numbers and this symbol... Do they mean anything to you?
also inside the box you will find the tome itself opened up to the pages where the numbers and seal are.

You also notice a seal on the back cover of the book, 2 dice with 8 pips up. Each set of pips forms a "D".
Adrien glances at the book, taking note of the numbers and seal for later. Sydney would want to be kept up to speed on this. He wrote out another message. If I had to guess, I'd say that's Dice's seal. Perhaps he isn't telling us something after all.
"Not that I'm one to take sides or anything, but we did kinda steal his book, and then assumed that some random cryptic message in it was related to us. Just... just sayin," I point out. But... for some reason... those number trigger something...
I hope I don't have to eat my words...
"Just looks like safebox numbers from the bank," I kindly inform the group.
Having nothing to add Mallichatti rests his chin on his fists thinking while listening.
Adrien offers to check out the security box(es?). Jeggare is one of my better connected houses I believe. I should be able to find out what's in them.
"Fine with me," I shrug, leaning back against the wall.
"Sometime in the next week or two I should have some leads on other contracts. Won't know for sure how well I sowed my seeds, but it shouldn't take too long. In the meantime I'm gonna get back to checking out how to get to Alana. What do you all got planned?"
Adrien sets up to leave Molos's office. His contact should be able to help him with the safe box's. Heading to the house Jeggare, he asks to speak with
we all have our duties, I advice that we complete them. As far as any of us our concerned this never happened. If our mutual "friend" wants info tell her to come back here and I'll brief her, if not she can stay in the dark.

After finding the group I inform them of the price cost of the bribe to get into the safe boxes. "2200 isn't much but it's rather out of my limit currently. What else do we have?"
Didn't we get lots of cash recently? alright so if i understood correctly we give him cash he lets us in with the proper keys and we have a look at what is inside the box.
"Correct, we'll have the keys to the boxes one day after payment."

Its less robbing and more finding out what the connection to Dice this demon had, to warrant his book being there in the first place. If certain things get lost, well then we'll deal with it later."

On the one hand I can understand where they're coming from, to a certain extent. At this stage of the game being paranoid is just basic precautions. And the chance for some sort of provisional gain is hard to overlook, but...
It just doesn't sit right with me. I've never been a big fan of stealing to begin with, and as far as anyone can tell Dice helped us out big time and has kept to his word. It just doesn't seem right to go back on him like that.
Yeah yeah. Servant of Hell, supposed to be evil, blah blah blah. Whatever. I don't do morals. But I do do practicality, and this just doesn't seem wise.
Mallichatti shrugs.
"I don't see where it gets us anyway. The devil they had is dead. If it turns out he profits by it that's old news. I'd rather we focused on dealing with the other devils first before getting side tracked."
I propose a compromise, we need to get at our memories. No question that is priority number one. However should the Halfling have plans for us that will get us killed beyond the one he already has in motion then it would be wise to learn of them. If he has created such a plan he will need some form of support that is not his house, I and Adrien can go through the underworld and see what we can turn up on Dice.
Adrien thought for a moment, contemplating the tieflings plan. On one hand this survey could prove fruitful to their end goal, but on the other, Anchises was expecting him to trade the bribe. Molos is still dangerous, but Adrien had a new confidence in his ability to defend against Molos. Perhaps Vince could step up to the plate. "Vince, the deal has been made to search the lockboxes. The bird drops some keys into my lap and then flies away. I pick them up, idly dangling them in front of me. Well well. I guess these are the strongbox keys. I grab my stuff and head to the bank, almost hoping this doesn't work.
