Howdy! I'm back!

Now, let's see if I can get something reasonable put together both quickly and thoroughly enough to capture your attention.

A Halfling Master Summoner 5, serving House Leroung.

gm:
Since finishing his training, he has been assigned to support Hellknight units, calling up the reinforcements which so infamously appear when those units require assistance.

His weaker Eidolon, when present, tends to serve more as a personal bodyguard than as a shock troop. That duty is reserved for the lesser summoned creatures, which can be produced in great quantity in very short order.

I've not really gotten past the first sketches of a build, and haven't even considered the eidolon's build, yet, but I'm looking at Augment Summoning for free from Master Summoner, Superior Summoning for 3rd level, and am considering whether to go for Eidolon-based feats to improve the protection provided to the caster or extra summmonings per day.

I'm thinking LE for alignment. Maybe discuss how entertaining the thought that the summoned creatures are suffering at the hands of the groups enemies is. I'll push ot get more mechanics doen this evening.

@Narian, son of Ellor

Updates:

The forward looking section does help define how/what Narian will be doing. Most noticeably, it's applicable, meaning its not just an ideal you want, but a method to do it. I noticed that it looks like you are missing a feat. You have the 1st, 3rd and 5th level feats but not the bonus feats magus get as level 5.

Grand Moff Vixen

Updates:
Very interesting changes, especially a shift to focus on natural weapons. It fits well with the alertness addition, as you are now ready to attack at all times, without having to draw a weapon. It's also probably a good idea to hold a good amount of gold until after you know what will be going on in the quest.

--- hustonj ---

Early Review:

What I like: You're the the only little guy! As someone who plays with 65-70% small players, that's quite crazy. I also like this master summoner archetype. With augment summoning, you can bring out some very helpful/powerful monsters.

What I'm interested in seeing: Based on the submission mix, this party is likely going to have a few casters. Bringing in some meat shields/muscle could be very helpful. I'm also curious as to how a summoner will do with a weakened eidolon. The only other summoner I played with was eidolon focused.

I'll wait on the rest of it and hope you can get it in before the deadline tomorrow night.

Is roughly 3700 gold enough?

Ertan leaves the village, satified that he had gotten the correct information from that barkeep, usually when you can see the piss dripping on the floor he is telling you the truth. Unfortunately for him, that holy symbol was not approved by Cheliaxian authorties. Oh well, time to track down that merchant, the house Narikopolus did not take business deals going sideways well, especially when the other party skips town with their money.

Also my spell list is up now

A feat at 5th? I thought it was at 6. Mkay, I will update the feat section.

Every odd level when playing Pathfinder. :)

Pathfinder changed when feats are gained.

Ninja`d!

Yep. That's enough to get a magic item you might need or a special material item.

Cheliax based characters really does bring out the evil. We got killers, questioners, people drinking sorc blood to learn spells, you know, all the normal stuff.

Spells:

I like the direction you took, by selecting character applicable but also actually helpful spells. Like Spiritual Weapon, very helpful and deity-inspired, and flames of the faithful.

I went with spells that are useful and would make sense for a lone wolf bounty hunter who cannot necessarily rely on anyone else while he is on the job. Unfortunately a lot of the really cool inquisitor specific spells give saves or only last one round, not good for a fairly MAD class. Spiritual weapon is great for many situations and flames of the faithful allows my weapon to get upgrades other than flaming. Both being very fitting for a servant of asmodias made them awesome choices.

GM:
Ok, so I've got a full profile up for Adrien Riventhorn. I hope everything is laid out well enough and to your liking, and I believe I've updated everything fully and gotten everything set up for the character. On another note, I know you said that you have free time at nights, but feel I should mention (if I didn't already, I think I did but I'm not sure) that I work nights. I believe I read somewhere that recruitment would be open until midnight tonight, but I don't think I saw a time zone which makes me think it'll be forum time or PST? Which if that's the case, I get break at 3am EST, so I'll be able to check the final selections in a timely manner. If this affects your decision I completely understand, but regardless I hold no grudge if this does knock me out of the running. But lastly, thanks for the opportunity and the chance to develop a character that you enjoyed the premise for, and that I had a blast developing. Good luck with judgements, tons of awesome submissions.

Good luck to all in this final stretch. I'm sure the campaign will be a blast for all.

A little more story for now. I have most of the mechanics on a piece of paper in front of me.

I will be editing this post to add more mechanical elements while I can.

GM:
Jelthen Bekeiner is not an exceptional halfling when you first see him. It isn't until you begin interacting with him, or watching other people do so, that you begin to recognize why House Leroung might find him useful.

He started a normal enough life, the child of a House Leroung sailor, and everyone assumed he would follow that path. Then, as he approached puberty, he was collected and tested for unusual capability. Jelthen was found to be exceptionally gifted and his life forever changed. He was taken into the University of Egorian and they began his education, to teach him how to wield the powers of magic.

The social environment at the school also taught him more about self-interest and the drive to control others in order to meet your own desires. He learned to use his conjured pets to acquire things that others should have better protected. The first lashing was his impetus for learning to ensure another would be blamed.

Upon graduation, House Leroung contracted Jelthen out to the Hellknights. He spent a few years improving his craft and power, having his toys help the Hellknights enforce the laws and learning to want to follow them well enough to avoid attracting Hellknight attention himself.

Jelthen is sometimes seen riding a rather large, infernal appearing dog-thing he calls Brim. Brim is most commonly present when Jelthen must leave Cheliax with the Hellknights for one reason or another.

House Leroung, or the Hellknights, have allowed the contract which kept Jelthen employed to expire. He knows that the House won't allow him to sit idle for long, but as a halfling servant of the House, he knows that they aren't going to tell him anything until he receives his assignment.

Alright guys, I'm out for the night. I will leave the midnight deadline and post the party selections tomorrow. Excellent character submissions so far, I have been very intrigued through this whole process.

GM:
I don't see it as much of an issue. Cheliax is a fairly high magic place and he's not so stupid as to think Cheliax or himself would fare well without them. What he harbors is a deep resentment in the seeming belief that magic>all when he demonstrates time and time again that magic is merely a crutch for thsoe men lacking iron in the backbone.

First of all, as I said last night these were all excellent characters. I did not eliminate any from consideration, and reviewed them between last night and this morning. Those that were chosen just happened to be the ones I liked the best in the bunch.

---Players for There Once Was a Man from Narikopolus---

Soldier-1st: Vince, Human Battle Oracle

Viluki: Molos Tavark: Tiefling Enchanter

Nidoran Duran: Arianna Ddraig - Human Sorcerer

Algar Lysandris: Sydney - Samsaran Witch

Adrien Riventhron: Elvish Dhampir Rogue

Players, please create aliases if you have not already done so and jump over to discussion for final character creation notes.

Dropping by to see who won. Great looking party. Congratulations all around to the lucky winners. Best of luck with the campaign.

Have fun! That's kinda the point, right?

Congratulations, everyone. Better luck for me next time. :P
