Just a PSA.

The next few scenes are social in nature. I had been trying to think of a way to just fly past them all, but with the uncertainty of Wyrd's current predicament, I figure that I should just keep my current old man pace.

Ooh! Another thing I forgot to ask you guys.

I know I was just talking about not expediting things, but in Sandpoint, is the Hagfish a reasonable place to start you guys at each time a new day starts? You can still flesh out your daily routine and stuff, it just makes things a bit easier if the party is all in one place for certain things.

Wherever you want to shove us. :o

'Cept Ameiko's is 100% better!

Female Human Arcanist (Blood Arcanist)/Fighter 1 | HP: 10/10 | AC: 13, Touch 12, Flat-Footed 11 | CMD: 15 | Fort: +2, Reflex: +2, Will +2 | Init: +2 | Perception: +5 | Arcane: 4/4, Stamina: 1/1 | 1st: 3/3

Shara would be fine with either. She is close to the owner of both after all.

Okay, works for me. I'll just make it up as we go along. :P

I was holding onto my next post, but I'll go ahead and move us along soon. Wyrd can be assumed to be following along for the time being. Worst case scenario, I find some way to deposit him in Sandpoint later on.

Either way, I might have to consider bringing a fifth on board just to odd things out.

It kind of goes without saying, but I should have just said it anyway: this game is on a (hopefully) wee break, provided that everyone is interested in continuing at some point. Much like what leinathan said in the thread for his game, I think having Kiora's game going is a strong motivator.

Yeahish. I've been a little lazy in the last few days with my own campaign, but that's because level-ups everywhere, and things, and stuff, and *flailing*.

Female Human Arcanist (Blood Arcanist)/Fighter 1 | HP: 10/10 | AC: 13, Touch 12, Flat-Footed 11 | CMD: 15 | Fort: +2, Reflex: +2, Will +2 | Init: +2 | Perception: +5 | Arcane: 4/4, Stamina: 1/1 | 1st: 3/3

It's cool and I'm definitely good to keep going. I've wanted to play Shara for soooo long...

I too am super good to keep going.

This is just a weird PbP lull for everyone, I think.

So... Ultimate Intrigue just came out. And it introduced a fey eidolon for the Unchained Summoner. It's kind of wonderful and I couldn't help thinking of Ivy.

Ivy Skills:

I'll have to look once it's more freely available :p

It might fit better than Azata.

Side note: This is exactly what I had hoped for with unchained summoner. The opportunity for more 'types'. :)

It's a full archetype called the Fey Caller. You lose most of your knowledge skills (other than nature and planes), but gain bluff, diplomacy, disguise, and survival. You get summon nature's ally instead of summon monster as a spell-like ability and your eidolon has both the outsider and fey types. The fey eidolon has a bunch of tricks that a cool.

They also released a shadow eidolon in Blood of Shadows not long ago. It was pretty cool.

Yup! I just used Protean to do it, personally. :P

Sort of like using Aberrant Bloodrager and flavoring it as shadow, or using Abyssal Bloodrager and flavoring it as giant-blooded...

Pathfinder is so often a tightrope to get the things I want. I'm not sure whether I enjoy the fight or not. :)

I wouldn't be unopposed to a rebuild if you think it ends up fitting the character better. Especially since not much has really happened yet. :)

On that note... I want to pick this game up again, but I am admittedly a bit stumped on what to do with Wyrd. I figure that Isilme will be preoccupied for an indefinite amount of time. Unfortunately there is this whole brother dynamic going on that I really like that might be lost, and I obviously won't do anything that'll preclude the character from rejoining at a later time. And of course, botting him would just feel weird.

And then there is also the issue of Wyrd's departure cutting the party size down to three (well, four). Do I recruit someone else? Push on with three four and hope you don't get shrekt? Or maybe you guys aren't the ones I should worry about. :P

I don't know, honestly. I may have to focus Ivy a bit more on the 'crunchy' than the 'fluffy', but we definitely have early-game power with Baalrak and late with Shara.

I don't think I could rebuild Ash and keep healing, though. There's a very high probability they won't work together.

I'd be fine pushing forward with three for awhile. Try out a few encounters, see what happens.

I'm also fine playing Baalrak without Wyrd around, though I did not hear that his player is busy or unavailable. What happened?

He suggested a month or so back that he has been very busy as of late, and might have to take a hiatus from this game. He just never quite made it official, though I imagine it is the case at this point.

That being said, my primary concern is finding a plausible means of taking Wyrd out of the picture for the time being.

I suggest he gets into a fight or somesuch off-screen and either gets hurt or catches some disease. He'd need bedrest and recuperation until...whenever, really.

Well, I've given it a lot more thought - probably too much, at this point - but I've decided to just assume direct control of Wyrd for the time being, if there are no objections. There are a few good spots to drop him off in the future, but it would be just too awkward and contrived to do so now.

My main concern about doing this has been borrowing the character's voice, which I've always been a bit uncomfortable with. I am worried that I don't have enough of a grasp on him to fill in convincingly... but at the same I think I can make it work. If Wyrd's player ever has the chance to rejoin us, hopefully the transition back would not be too terribly awkward.

That being said, there is some expository banter with the mayor than I need to get out of the way - I can either take that slow or zoom past it depending on how everyone feels.

Also, sorry again about how the game has been so far... I've been bogging it down with my indecision.

It's not a huge deal. I'm just excited to see some games picking up again.

I'd rather zoom past random narration and right into adventure.

That's been one of my problems with the Curse game. That, and the fact that there's only like... two people left who can play for it.

Looking at Fey Caller, here are the 'sticking points' for me:

Nature's Call: Ash doesn't get Summon Monster as an SLA; he traded it for Spirit powers.

Ivy's Class Skills get Wrecked. Fey Eidolons do not get Climb, Survival, Perception, Swim, Stealth. (They also don't get bluff or sense motive, though those are less important to Ivy).

Ivy loses weapon proficiencies and electricity resistance in exchange for low light vision, a cantrip, and skilled. Which would be awesome... if I could take it in a skill that fits Ivy, rather than a class skill. (Acrobatics, Diplomacy, Disguise, Escape Artist, K(Nature), Perform, SoH, UMD)

At 4: Woodland Stride is really cool for Ivy, but Cold Resistance and Fire Resistance are equally 'right' for a plantish Eidolon (Many plant creatures have lots of resists).

At 8: Ivy gets more magic, and Entangle is ridiculously amazing and fitting, as well as another cantrip. Compare to Flight which I don't even really want Ivy to have.

At 12: DR 5/Cold Iron. Really nice, decently fitting; probably more useful than DR 5/evil. Gain flight (ugh), rather than immunity to petrification and truespeech.

At 16: Gain more spells. V. +2 to any stat and electricity immunity. Don't get me wrong, they're great spells, but they don't really fit Ivy.

At 20: Moar DR, Moar Spells. V. Incorporeal and moar fly (ugh).

It's... really up in the air. There are okay things about both. I could spend Ivy's Skilled evolution on a Slam attack, but then she'd not be... Ivy. I dunno, neither is a perfect fit, really.

As a heads-up: Today is my last day at mthe first job I ever had. I've worked here for just shy of nine years... But I've decided I need to move on to a job that pays better... As a result, I'm going to be picking up a lot more hours at work, changing my schedule in the process, and ultimately having a lot less time for those things and people that I love. That being said... I'll become less of a post hog in the majority of my games. Things might change in the future, but at the moment, I'm hoping to continue playing in my games.

This is another of my games for which 'life happens' is playing a major role for more than one party. :(

I don't think this one really matters as much, but...

It's sort of been a long time coming... but with my new workload, I've found that I have nearly no time for Paizo at all. As you've probably noticed, my posts have fallen both in count and quality... and I've come to realize I cannot keep up with the majority of my games - whether because they move too quickly, or because I completely lack the inspiration.

Ultimately, I've decided to drop out of nearly all of my campaigns for now. Sorry for any trouble this causes. I can stick around and do an inadequate job of trying to see my way out, or you can feel free to bot my character.

Thanks for checking in. :(

It's definitely a shame, but this one is pretty much dead, or sleeping or whatever. I know I didn't really do much to invigorate the game. Maybe I'll start over or pick up where we left off at some point in the future. It's hard to say, honestly.
